- In 2013, the Science Channel filmed and aired a full feature show about the USA Memory Championships. At the time, it was really great coverage of the event. I managed to track down a copy (albeit not the final edited version) to share with you all.
Man, this is a moment in time! The competition has changed so much since then.

Really awesome documentary
Still can't believe Nelson lost.
He was storming through each and every phase with ease.
He made 1 mistake in the entire 8 hours and it cost him the championship.
Just how cruel life can be at times, but we move on. Like Nelson did and later became Memory Champion for 2 more times.
A massive inspiration!

Hi, have you ever tried to memorize ASCII ? Any tip?
that's basically base 128, so it'd be very very hard to compact it. You'd probably do a PAO or try and make words out of it

Hello there Nelson Sorry, this is a different question to the video hope not to annoy. I am learning a language Scottish Gaelic my original language, there is only 60 thousand people worldwide speak it now. I find it hard to remember all the words to go into a sentence. The words of a sentence starts with verb, noun, adjective. example, tha i snog meaning she is nice. The I means She Tha means Is and Snog is Nice.
i have been learning through Duolingo i do know a number of words ,but putting into a lot of sentence is hard.

Maybe the reason there is less than 100 comments is cuz not enough marketting is being used , so what would a hollywold director do different ...why they get oscars yet documentaries sound like news ....not all documentaries remeber earth? Ok then how can we get memory championships tongo viral? This should be researched in university ...not the science behing memory but the actual best way of gaining the interest of a billion students in less than a year be it music or actors or some football players there should be a way...even andrew tate might help
These rules are not fair. Nelson was much stronger than the winner in pretty much every event.
