I really did love this movie. The designs for the characters were so unique and so meticulously created. I loved every single detail on the monsters, and they made such an impression on me. The twisted nature of the Seamstress, utilizing the corpse of one of the character's friends, and twisting it into a tool of deception. The feral nature of the cat-beast, and the sheer terror it's visage envoked. Then the Flying beast, which used a fan to propel itself through the air, using canvas wings to flap and fly, before brandishing the harpoon gun that was the tip of its tail like a Scorpion's stinger. All of the monsters were incredibly well designed, and very memorable.
I agree. Although 9 is the best of the scientist's creations, he still has (important) weaknesses. And 1 isn't evil, he's just too proud, and (rightfully) bitter that they've been left in such a dangerous, devastated world... But I like the fact that he still has some humanity left that we can see more in the end. He really is an interesting character. They're all likable in their own way despite how their "extreme" personalities sometimes conflict with each other.
+Zane Woods I liked how this movie was like Tim Butron's The Terminator, but this one came so out of left field and looked more like a seriel killers face ala Saw than anything that should be near anything having to do with this movie, but it fits so well!
Honestly, the design of the Seamstress is quite iconic to me. I loved this movie in middle school, and I’ve forgotten so much about it over the years, but even if I don’t always remember what I know it from, that creature has stayed in my memory. I also forgot how much death there is here. Also, this clip got genuinely engaging near the end, and I plan on rewatching the movie sometime.
Ohhhhhhh-kay. Out of all the things I don't remember from this movie, I think this part should have stayed forgotten. My goodness that's nightmare fuel if I ever saw it.
I didn't make that up. Shane Acker said it in an interview that all of the stitchpunks represent both a strength and a flaw of humanity. 1 is the most flawed, and 9 is the closest to perfection.
Well, just because a stitchpunk is on the low end doesn't necessarily make it "bad". All 9 of them represent one quality of mankind, except taken to an extreme. 1 was probably somewhat of a nice guy at first, but then, maybe, seeing the world the way it was at the time hardened his heart.
my favorite beast was the war machines, the seamstress, the cat beast, and the fabrication machine or Binary Reactive Artificially Interactive Nemocircuit (B.R.A.I.N.)
1:45 - 1:49 is the best Scene of all time lol I saw this movie and trailer when I was 12 I’m 21 and I still get chills the seamstress head flys back and screams and u just see 5 with the cross bow it’s so awesome !!! And the trailer with welcome home oh my god what an amazing movie
You gotta admit this scene is pretty disturbing. I feel sorry for 2 :( Its sad how he dies in the first 20 minutes of the movie and how his body was fused together with the seamstress. 2 was my favourite! D'X I actually feel sorry for ALL the characters in the movie, they were all created and left to fend for themselves and fight to survive out in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
...well Coraline was meant for children...it was just meant to scare the crap out of them. But yeah, plenty of animation is more for adults...though I would have totally watch 9 as a kid and just have nightmares for a while. Worth it.
I wanted to see this movie, but never got the chance to watch it and I eventually forgot that it existed. Based from what I read on Wikipedia, both sides , man and machines, ended up with the same result right before the start of the movie: they each had only one survivor. Now if the movie didn't do this, then it could've explained how did both sides ended with all of those loses. You would think that this movie would be a "What if" for the Terminator movies, but in this movie humanity did defeat the head machine, but at the price of 99% of the human population.
You're right, I remember hearing the director talk about the characters being "closer to perfection" as the numbers get higher. One thing I don't understand, though, is in what exactly he would consider 8 to be better than 7, when I would have given him one of the lowest numbers (like perhaps exchange his rank with 2). But I guess it's a matter of personal opinion, and it's still a really interesting way to see those characters.
Actually, there is no 10th stitchpunk, and there never could be, because that would mean the 10th one is the closest to a 10-star perfect human. 9 is the closest to perfection, but he still has some flaws. If you had no flaws, you could not be living. Flaws are what define us as living creatures.
Yeah, that's true! 3 and 4 don't speak, but they're really smart. Maybe it's because they 're more childlike, or too dependent on each other? But 2 is such a kind and caring soul, I can't think of anything that could really make him the second most flawed ragdoll. o_O
At 2:02, one the "No!" part. I always thought it was 7 but when I watched it in subtitles it said 9 said "No!" It sounded like 7 can someone explain to me
But 9, who is supposed to be even better, doesn't follow the rules either (and it appears that he did well because 1 was wrong)... Still, 8's loyalty is admirable and he'd probably be one of my favorite characters if he wasn't such a bully.
The seamstress was the most fucked up creation in the entire movie because it went as far as to use one of the corpses of their companions to traumatize them more than they already are. Kinda heartbreaking

BurritoInTheMist Heh. Nice description.
Thank you!
I agree, the art style of this early 1900's apocalypse is just badass.
the seamstress is my favorite
This thing needs to go back to Silent Hill and stay there.
7
this is the one that gave me nightmares as a kid.
+Adam Kindeler How old ARE you lol ^_^
+kandy kat wait this movie was rated pg-13?
I didn't even know when I watched xD
well if it's rated PG-13 that might explain some of my night terrors....
Not me! I was either 10 or 11 when I first saw the full movie, and I wasn't creeped out.
This movie was never a kids film it was rated PG-13.

This machine terrified me as a child
That thing is a universal studio horror machine
I love this movie so freakin much. My favorite animated movie of all time
My absolute favorite creature from the whole movie! Seamstress is so creepy!
+Zane Woods I liked how this movie was like Tim Butron's The Terminator, but this one came so out of left field and looked more like a seriel killers face ala Saw than anything that should be near anything having to do with this movie, but it fits so well!
1's face when he was being hypnotized, it was like "woah. Cool." It looked so funny.
not a kid's movie. Never a kid's movie.
Thank u bruh
Sour Cream Of course it's not! It's clearly PG-13 and it even tells you it's not a kid's movie in one of the trailers!
Anthony Abreu
I posted this because of everyone who says this was a kid's movie.
Sour Cream Oh ok.
Vinícius Marchezi
yeah man youtube's my jam
The seamstress's head kinda looks like the head of the baby spider from toy story.
it does
IT ACTUALLY DOES...
1:51 I love how he says 7! 😍😍😍
Jesus Christ, if this isn't the most scary, stylish, and creative movie monster I've ever seen, I don't know what is. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

1:14 love how 9 turns his body but he is still facing it with his head
You mean 5?
Correction, 5
Seven!.......Niiiine! For some reason, thats my favorite part, the background music and the way she screams "9".
Yo Momma Wow! Same. Like, for seemingly no reason at all, I completely like the way she called him.
Why tf was i just thinking the same thing 😂
"7!" "9!" made me laugh. I thought of that 7, 8, 9 joke.
Happy 9th anniversary “9”
; )
#ilove9

1 is the most flawed, and 9 is the closest to perfection.
If Koh the Face-Stealer had a toy...this might be an earthly approximation of it.
I wish I'd found this comment years ago😂genius Avatar reference👌🏾
The seamstress makes me want to cry! So scary! Everyone in theaters was cusing when they saw it!
The Seamstress is and will always be my favorite beast made by the Fabrication Machine
I personally find it very surprising that Christopher Plummer didn't have a heart attack while they were recording the dialog for this scene.
This scared the living shit out of me literally I shit my pants seeing this thing
1:13 5 looks cute
2:11 I love 1's reaction to 2's corpse. He is like "What the fuck!?" I was laughing so hard when I first saw that.
my favorite beast was the war machines, the seamstress, the cat beast, and the fabrication machine or Binary Reactive Artificially Interactive Nemocircuit (B.R.A.I.N.)
Using 2’s lifeless body as a lure (kind of like an angler fish) was what got me here
after i saw the movie i still cant stop watching this!
The perfect hunter.
That thing is going to give me nightmares... I have to see this movie!
Steampunk
GOTTA LOVE THE STEAMPUNK.
You mean Stitchpunk, right?
this scared the crap out of me! i cant wait to see this movie!
Without a doubt, this is objectively a cult classic.
I still love this movie and wish and hope second movie comes out.
Did anyone notice that the steamstress has a broken doll face?
+TheGaming Raptor
yes.

True, well at least at the end of the movie. 1, 2, 5, 6, and 8's souls are freed.
Ohmygod..
This looks amazing...
It puts them in a trance and doesn't steel there soul. They do that with something else.
Straightest tf2 player when they hear tick rock by joji: 0:32
omg this movie....
It will change my world. I-I can already tell!
I can't wait! >XD
the seamstress is my fav monster in this AWESOME MOVIE
This was incredibly spooky.
The hypnosis freaked me out the most
This thing scared the shit out of me when I first saw this...
at 1:43, they use a different 7 model for some reason. The patch on her back is gone and her full number can be seen.
I'm totally going to see this movie the day it comes out!
This will change my look on all things dark!
How’d that work out for ya?
1:13
5: "I can't help it. It's so beautiful!"
:58 coin gone 1:08 its back
Lol i never see this before
/¤\
If I was a stitchpunk I would be my OC 1000000 :D
The seamstress is very, very creepy looking.
I think 8 is slightly better than 7, because 7 has a rebellious streak but 8 always does what he's told without complaining.
Much agreed SyWar. Much agreed!
this is my favorite monster
I like how the other machines were kinda cool looking and then they bust out this fucking thing that uses a characters corpse as a weapon
Put that thing back where it came from
OR SO HELP ME!
I use that quote a lot 🤣
...well Coraline was meant for children...it was just meant to scare the crap out of them. But yeah, plenty of animation is more for adults...though I would have totally watch 9 as a kid and just have nightmares for a while. Worth it.
Im tottally watching this.
5 nice shot nice timing

3DSDF pretty sure its everyone died.
İs there going to be sequel?
I think one of the most disturbing things about the Seamstress is that it's made in part with 2's lifeless body.
TIM BURTON FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8 would have probably lived if he wasn’t busy getting high on magnets
I;m scared now...but still...I love this show already!!!
It's a movie
0:35 those eyes are so cute and funny at the same time
They look so lifeless

7 sounded scared for once
yay now i seen part of the movie
0:39 is so just so much NOPE!!!!!!! 💀🧵🧵🧵 😱
I watched this as a kid and it wasn’t that bad
Jesus imagine what they could’ve done with that if they were allowed to make it as gory as they wanted
AHHHHHH SOMEONE SAVE 1!!!!!!!!! hes my favorite!
I’m 11 years late but 1 survived the seamstress, I don’t like 1 he’s kinda a dick
DON'T LOOK AT THE EYES!!!!
1:13
damn that monster reminded me of one of deadspace's too *shivers*
Yeah, that's true! 3 and 4 don't speak, but they're really smart. Maybe it's because they 're more childlike, or too dependent on each other? But 2 is such a kind and caring soul, I can't think of anything that could really make him the second most flawed ragdoll. o_O
Damn machine, using 2 as a tool to get to the others.
I didn’t know this was pg-13
BUT MY DUM 8 YEARS OLD SELF THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A “GOOD” MOVIE
I HAD NIGHTMARES FOR MONTHS
whoa....thats deep.
and probably true
I love this movie alot and really want to make lego characters based around it but I'm not very good on staying focused on one character
Did any1 realize its head is a baby dolls head with one red glowing eye??
Seamstress is the scarriest
@Maverickslayer744 yup. youre right. at first the machine creates unique machines. but now it creates those that are made by random things.
That would scare the living s*** out of me!
At 2:02, one the "No!" part. I always thought it was 7 but when I watched it in subtitles it said 9 said "No!"
It sounded like 7 can someone explain to me
yah coraline was kinda freaky but not as much as this lol btw i think the seamstress is based loosely on the "other mother"
But 9, who is supposed to be even better, doesn't follow the rules either (and it appears that he did well because 1 was wrong)... Still, 8's loyalty is admirable and he'd probably be one of my favorite characters if he wasn't such a bully.
This movie scarred me
Did anyone notice that 1’s coin fell of the hat and came back the next scene?
Fascinating weapon 5 used. Is that suppose to be a crossbow? Where are 3,4, and 6?
This clip is cool and all, but isn't it a bit too, uh, revealing of the film's plot and what might happen?
OMG #2!
For some reason this movie scares me.
1 eyes are like pretty lights XD XD XD
The seamstress was the most fucked up creation in the entire movie because it went as far as to use one of the corpses of their companions to traumatize them more than they already are. Kinda heartbreaking
