Nikacado is the best modern example of why you should fight your addictions. I used to also have an addiction, and a lot of things he said "like I'm already here, why stop now" I could really relate to. Scary to know that if I hadn't stopped I could've ended up like him. *Fight your addictions people,* don't let them get control over you, and if you can't do it on your own, ask you family or friends don't be afraid.
It's important to be self-aware and honest with yourself to catch things early. I did phenibut for a month, developed physical dependence, but realised I had to get off it ASAP before the dependence really set in. The people who say these things face a tremendous amount of self-loathing, so they don't really care what comes out of their mouths and how it sounds to other people. None of us can say something that will make him feel bad about himself more than what his own mind probably says every day. And there's one particular thing that needs to be known: Nik's relationship with food was ALWAYS poor, even when he was 15O lbs. As an overweight unpopular kid throughout most of my high school years, I had a HORRIBLE self-image. *Trigger Warning* I lost a LOT of weight during college using very unhealthy methods such as drinking a bottle of water while hungry and skipping meals... and I became someone who almost based my personality around how I looked. After COVID hit, I gained a lot of weight back (although a good chunk of it is muscle, and I'm built pretty well), and I'm healthier now and no longer restrict meals, but it's still so difficult to not associate my weight-gain with a loss of control. I've been working on myself and I've accepted how I look, and now I work out / exercise because I love myself, not because I want to punish myself. It's funny though... looking back on old photos of myself, I now wish I could look how I looked back then, but when I was at that weight it still wasn't good enough for me and I wanted to look better. I realize now that every second that passes becomes the past and one day 20 years from now, I'll look back on how I look now and wish I appreciated it and loved myself. Because nobody knows what the future holds. Self-love is an ever-evolving thing, and I'm glad that I'm finally able to at least not be so hard on myself for gaining weight. I'm about 190 lbs now and that's okay.

Its too late for him, he already definitely has or about to get some chronic illnesses like stage 3 fatty liver(cirrhosis) which is not reversible, and definitely has hypertension which can leave him with a loosened heart, heart failure, heart attack, breathing problems, chest pain and many more horrible problems which can lead him to an early death. But there is still time for him to get healthy again, at least he might be having most of his health-related conditions cured or prevented if starts a healthy lifestyle.

I have a crazy diet I did in early 2020 but it takes discipline. 3 Boiled eggs with lime and only water as a drink for the day. Water Everytime. I lost 10lbs a month doing it, also do cardio. Don’t listen to people saying it’s unhealthy or dangerous, my skin cleared so much that year, hair started strengthening (growing facial hair ) testosterone boosted and increased muscle gains after. It also made me happier. Try it bro, but have discipline. Replace chips and other snacks for watermelon or pineapple.

He was never vegan, he was simply plant-based. Veganism is a lifestyle of peace and compassion for all, so we also don't go to zoos, circuses, wear fur, wool, etc. If someone is hurt or killed we don't support it. He actually unintentionally helped me. I found out I was bigger than this man and was so upset because I don’t have a diet nearly as bad as his. I got a vertical sleeve gastrectomy and have lost 50 pounds since. Hoping to get to his original weight!

@@ert-wert dude, that's dangerous. I've been underweight and it sucks. Thermoregulation gets really hard and doing things while having energy is also difficult. Try just forcing yourself to eat something small whenever your emotions start getting wacky. Emotional self-regulation gets hard when you're hungry, so you can use that as a marker. Eventually you'll get used to eating properly and start feeling hungry (at least a little, even if only when you're calm). Hunger is like pain, in that bad things happen if you ignore it, and worse things happen if you can't feel it.
@@ert-wert I feel for the majority of people who are overweight it simply comes down to calories in vs. calories out. They’re eating too much to burn off and that helps pack on the pounds. For some though, food is an addiction and/or a comfort. They attach emotions to what they are eating and it can be very hard to give that up. There are some people who do have health issues that can make it difficult to lose weight (I have PCOS and maintaining a low weight can be a struggle for me), but it’s not an excuse to overeat and maintain a very poor diet.
@@ert-wert I couldn’t stop eating because I had a lot of emotional trauma. It’s comfort eating. At my worst, I would have fast food at least 10 times a week and be eating 7k-10k a day. I don’t know how many others have that issue. But I’ve been on many weight loss journeys that led to loss and subsequent gains. It wasn’t until I really addressed the mental issues behind my eating that I really wanted to keep the weight off. It is amazing how different our bodies are. My goal is to run a half marathon one day.

At the end of the day, it comes down to sacrificing your health to make multiple 7 figures, and people are just fine with doing that. But there's a massive price tag that comes with it.

This has opened my eyes. I decided to weigh myself today as I thought I was only 180 lbs, but to my surprise, I’m at 210. Holy moly what has online classes done to me. I’ll leave this comment as my starting point of my journey. I’ll go back once I get my weight down.
I feel so bad for Orlin. "You were the worst thing to happen to me." is such a hurtful (albeit true) statement, and to see Nikocado shrug it off amazes me. Nikocado ruined Orlin's life, and Nikocado does not care.
There's no reason to feel bad for someone who makes their own choices and phrases things in the nastiest manner they can. When you phrase things like that, you're bound to be lashed back for it (including in the form of a venomous dismissive reply). They're both losers.
I once spoke to a mukbanger. She did videos every 2 weeks. She didn't really eat much (if anything) for 48 hours prior to filming. She worked out, not heavily, but enough to work off the food, over the next 12 days, unlike Nikocado

Nikokado has a serious psychologic Problem and He Had it before being vegan. Being that unhealthy thin was Just the opposite Side of the Same Problem Like His overweight now. And both of Them are in a cringe circle of food, Money, Klicks and Drama.
The saddest part about this tale is that he is at the point now where he's so dedicated to playing the part of his character that any chance of getting through to him, or any case of an interview, is only going to be met with a response from the character and never the real Nicholas Perry. As self aware and calculative as he is, maintaining this persona for the sake of relevancy and revenue is what's ultimately going to bring about his early demise. What's even worse about that revelation is that he knows it, and he's perfectly okay with it.
Honestly, if he started a wight loss journey, everyone would support him more and he would gain more attention as not a repulsive mukbang TH-camr, but a weight loss influencer.
I’m not sure. There’s now so many “body positive” supporters that might turn on him if he decides to lose the weight. Specially those that defend that one can be healthy even if extremely overweight, which does not account for the strain on the musculoskeletal system and internal organs. There’s nothing wrong with being on the larger size to a degree but, at some point the body just can’t keep performing as it should, which lowers life expectancy. While weight does not make anyone less deserving of love, respect, and kindness it absolutely can have a negative impact on overall health when taken to the extreme (be it extremely overweight or extremely underweight).

The 2016 vegan community was way worse than it is now because a lot of the toxic ones were violent such as the shooter from the TH-cam HQ shooting or when some activist destroyed a butchery). I think he says things like that to be outrageous and get more engagement for his videos, and more views. Kinda like Dr.Phil TV show, bringing on controversial or offensive people. This guy seems to love the attention that drama brings, and more views = more $ Also, it could be a bit of a self-defense mechanism, to say "I don't care" about criticisms of his videos and his weight. Being defiant, acting like he's happy and arrogant. He's very unlikable, but his behavior shouldn't really make anyone feel rage. There arw plenty of people with more expensive apartments, and wealthier, and with more advantages and opportunities - and who aren't eating themselves into oblivion for views and money. And some of them have a worse attitude towards "the poor". Or even lobby for and promote laws etc. to make it harder for poorer people, and to benefit the wealthy; or run greedy businesses that take land or resources such as water, from poorer people, or trap workers in developing countries into very bad, exploitative contracts such as on sugar cane or banana plantations, or construction sites or gem mines. Save your rage for those folks.

He noticed his weight gain and got worried, but noticed how much more attention his videos were getting. Then he discovered the feeder community and switched from standard mukbangs to making fetish content, which he is massively profiting on now. How is it fetish content, you ask? Notice how he went from focusing on the food to focusing on his weight and purposely gaining, complaining about his health, and detailing the physical struggles of being fat. And notice how he wears ill-fitting clothing that shows off his gut. This is exactly what feeders get off on, seeing their feedee go from thin to morbidly obese and becoming disabled due to their size. How do I know so much about feederism? One of my exes was a feeder. I didn't find out till I'd gained 20lbs and found his fat fetish porn, then realized he'd been pushing me to overeat for the whole relationship. I dumped him of course but it led me down a very disturbing rabbithole and yeah... once you learn about feederism, the purpose of Nicko's videos becomes crystal-clear. The drama is very deliberate but it's not just a hot mess seeking attention, he's appealing to a very specific and sick audience.

I’m pretty sure he has a binge eating disorder as well, though of course can’t say for certain. It comes off to me like a combination of things, his childhood obesity would also factor into it. Not to armchair analyze but i could relate a lot to his situation, down to the being plants based and for the first time skinny, then I started slipping and binge eating and felt like I went past a point of no return and would make rationalizations that part of me knew wasn’t real and I’d use humor to cope with, I think he does this while also recognizing he’s getting a ton of money for it and thus has more incentive not to stop than otherwise, but hey, who knows
I full suspect Amberlynn Reid falls under this as well. She started around 300lbs and is almost 600lbs if not more.... despite being a "weight loss channel". She tries to not do Mukbangs and such it seems, but always goes back to them because that is where the money is. I know his remark about poor people was for shock effects. He trolls people often because drama sells even better than sex sells, and his regular viewers recognize such trolling. It was a disgusting thing to say and he's always offending my sensibilities (via reaction videos; I'm not giving him Adsense from views), but I'm not a fan of 'cancel culture'. I believe he would rather be dependent on mobility devices than have his channel tank (or be terminated), because he has few practical skills to fall back on in obtaining a 'regular' job. Mukbang success puts him in a real dilemma, and I hope he's saving some of that income.

Seeing just the mental denial of weight gain and false optimism that everything will magically get better hit really hard at home for me and just solidifies that I neeeeed to lose this weight and get back to my former self. Nikacado is the best modern example of why you should fight your addictions. I used to also have an addiction, and a lot of things he said "like I'm already here, why stop now" I could really relate to. Scary to know that if I hadn't stopped I could've ended up like him. *Fight your addictions people,* don't let them get control over you, and if you can't do it on your own, ask you family or friends don't be afraid.
It's important to be self-aware and honest with yourself to catch things early. I did phenibut for a month, developed physical dependence, but realised I had to get off it ASAP before the dependence really set in. Was tough withdrawals, but would have been much harder further down the line. I don't get how Nikocado was so deluded, he was just cheating himself

As an overweight unpopular kid throughout most of my high school years, I had a HORRIBLE self-image. *Trigger Warning* I lost a LOT of weight during college using very unhealthy methods such as drinking a bottle of water while hungry and skipping meals... and I became someone who almost based my personality around how I looked. After COVID hit, I gained a lot of weight back (although a good chunk of it is muscle, and I'm built pretty well), and I'm healthier now and no longer restrict meals, but it's still so difficult to not associate my weight-gain with a loss of control. I've been working on myself and I've accepted how I look, and now I work out / exercise because I love myself, not because I want to punish myself. It's funny though... looking back on old photos of myself, I now wish I could look how I looked back then, but when I was at that weight it still wasn't good enough for me and I wanted to look better. I realize now that every second that passes becomes the past and one day 20 years from now, I'll look back on how I look now and wish I appreciated it and loved myself. Because nobody knows what the future holds. Self-love is an ever-evolving thing, and I'm glad that I'm finally able to at least not be so hard on myself for gaining weight. I'm about 190 lbs now and that's okay.

But there is still time for him to get healthy again, at least he might be having most of his health-related conditions cured or prevented if starts a healthy lifestyle.

I always thought 270 was my “max” but then one day I weighed 290, and then over 300. Now I’m struggling to get down to 280, but I’m not gonna stop until I’m under 200. I’ve lost 40 pounds so far and I can lose 85 more.

I have a crazy diet I did in early 2020 but it takes discipline. 3 Boiled eggs with lime and only water as a drink for the day. Water Everytime. I lost 10lbs a month doing it, also do cardio. Don’t listen to people saying it’s unhealthy or dangerous, my skin cleared so much that year, hair started strengthening (growing facial hair ) testosterone boosted and increased muscle gains after. It also made me happier. Try it bro, but have discipline. Replace chips and other snacks for watermelon or pineapple.

The sad part in all this is that Nikacado was never really healthy. Even while he was vegan he had an eating disorder and now he's just switched to a different kind. People just assume he was healthy prior to gaining weight because he was skinny.

Every animal rights group I know of (which is over 100) does something for the mental health of volunteers and workers. @@ert-wert dude, that's dangerous. I've been underweight and it sucks. Thermoregulation gets really hard and doing things while having energy is also difficult. Try just forcing yourself to eat something small whenever your emotions start getting wacky. Emotional self-regulation gets hard when you're hungry, so you can use that as a marker. Eventually you'll get used to eating properly and start feeling hungry (at least a little, even if only when you're calm).
Hunger is like pain, in that bad things happen if you ignore it, and worse things happen if you can't feel it.
@@ert-wert I feel for the majority of people who are overweight it simply comes down to calories in vs. calories out. They’re eating too much to burn off and that helps pack on the pounds. For some though, food is an addiction and/or a comfort. They attach emotions to what they are eating and it can be very hard to give that up. There are some people who do have health issues that can make it difficult to lose weight (I have PCOS and maintaining a low weight can be a struggle for me), but it’s not an excuse to overeat and maintain a very poor diet.
@@ert-wert I couldn’t stop eating because I had a lot of emotional trauma. It’s comfort eating. At my worst, I would have fast food at least 10 times a week and be eating 7k-10k a day.
I don’t know how many others have that issue. But I’ve been on many weight loss journeys that led to loss and subsequent gains. It wasn’t until I really addressed the mental issues behind my eating that I really wanted to keep the weight off.
It is amazing how different our bodies are. My goal is to run a half marathon one day.

This has opened my eyes. I decided to weigh myself today as I thought I was only 180 lbs, but to my surprise, I’m at 210. Holy moly what has online classes done to me. I’ll leave this comment as my starting point of my journey. I’ll go back once I get my weight down.

Specially those that defend that one can be healthy even if extremely overweight, which does not account for the strain on the musculoskeletal system and internal organs.
There’s nothing wrong with being on the larger size to a degree but, at some point the body just can’t keep performing as it should, which lowers life expectancy.
While weight does not make anyone less deserving of love, respect, and kindness it absolutely can have a negative impact on overall health when taken to the extreme (be it extremely overweight or extremely underweight).

The 2016 vegan community was way worse than it is now because a lot of the toxic ones were violent such as the shooter from the TH-cam HQ shooting or when some activist destroyed a butchery). I think he says things like that to be outrageous and get more engagement for his videos, and more views. Kinda like Dr.Phil TV show, bringing on controversial or offensive people. This guy seems to love the attention that drama brings, and more views = more $
Also, it could be a bit of a self-defense mechanism, to say "I don't care" about criticisms of his videos and his weight. Being defiant, acting like he's happy and arrogant.
He's very unlikable, but his behavior shouldn't really make anyone feel rage. There arw plenty of people with more expensive apartments, and wealthier, and with more advantages and opportunities - and who aren't eating themselves into oblivion for views and money. And some of them have a worse attitude towards "the poor". Or even lobby for and promote laws etc. to make it harder for poorer people, and to benefit the wealthy; or run greedy businesses that take land or resources such as water, from poorer people, or trap workers in developing countries into very bad, exploitative contracts such as on sugar cane or banana plantations, or construction sites or gem mines. Save your rage for those folks.

My theory- he started out honestly, leaving veganism and branching out into mukbangs with friends. He noticed his weight gain and got worried, but noticed how much more attention his videos were getting. Then he discovered the feeder community and switched from standard mukbangs to making fetish content, which he is massively profiting on now.
How is it fetish content, you ask? Notice how he went from focusing on the food to focusing on his weight and purposely gaining, complaining about his health, and detailing the physical struggles of being fat. And notice how he wears ill-fitting clothing that shows off his gut. This is exactly what feeders get off on, seeing their feedee go from thin to morbidly obese and becoming disabled due to their size. How do I know so much about feederism? One of my exes was a feeder. I didn't find out till I'd gained 20lbs and found his fat fetish porn, then realized he'd been pushing me to overeat for the whole relationship. I dumped him of course but it led me down a very disturbing rabbithole and yeah... once you learn about feederism, the purpose of Nicko's videos becomes crystal-clear. The drama is very deliberate but it's not just a hot mess seeking attention, he's appealing to a very specific and sick audience.

I’m pretty sure he has a binge eating disorder as well, though of course can’t say for certain. It comes off to me like a combination of things, his childhood obesity would also factor into it. Not to armchair analyze but i could relate a lot to his situation, down to the being plants based and for the first time skinny, then I started slipping and binge eating and felt like I went past a point of no return and would make rationalizations that part of me knew wasn’t real and I’d use humor to cope with, I think he does this while also recognizing he’s getting a ton of money for it and thus has more incentive not to stop than otherwise, but hey, who knows
I full suspect Amberlynn Reid falls under this as well. She started around 300lbs and is almost 600lbs if not more.... despite being a "weight loss channel". She tries to not do Mukbangs and such it seems, but always goes back to them because that is where the money is. She has other problematic behaviour, but they aside, the feeder aspect is definitely a reason imo she struggles to lose weight because it's her money maker.

I know his remark about poor people was for shock effects. He trolls people often because drama sells even better than sex sells, and his regular viewers recognize such trolling. It was a disgusting thing to say and he's always offending my sensibilities (via reaction videos; I'm not giving him Adsense from views), but I'm not a fan of 'cancel culture'. I believe he would rather be dependent on mobility devices than have his channel tank (or be terminated), because he has few practical skills to fall back on in obtaining a 'regular' job. Mukbang success puts him in a real dilemma, and I hope he's saving some of that income.
Maybe he will survive this and lose the weight.. but he would also lose his main source of income and I hope he becomes poor like them. That’s what classist pigs like him get.

Obviously, Nikocado is aware of the issue but that's only half the solution. Many people who have EDs from anorexia to bullimia to binge eating disorder are aware of the effects and damage they cause but that doesn't mean the solution is like a light switch.

I'm currently 367 pounds but a week ago started a weight loss journey and started at 375. Seeing just the mental denial of weight gain and false optimism that everything will magically get better hit really hard at home for me and just solidifies that I neeeeed to lose this weight and get back to my former self. Thanks for the video and fingers crossed in a years time or so I can comment again that I've actually lost the weight!!!
