Loved the vlog! I was wondering where you learned how to do vlogs and editting and such. I'm planning on starting, but I'm so unsure on how to start. Do I need a camera? Or is my phone just enough and like what software do I need and how do I even learn that.
You really learn as you go. If you watch my first video and compare it to my latest ones, you'll definitely be able to see the progression. I did start by watching a few editing tips from people who are in the movie industry, which is how I learned about J cuts and other small details that seem insignificant, but can definitely affect the viewers' experience of the video. Then, I mainly got inspiration from other people's videos, regardless of the niche, as well as movies and TV shows. You just have to remain open to finding inspiration in everything. If you see something you like, try to incorporate it in your next video! Honestly though, you really just have to start. Film something, edit it down, post it, and repeat. Allow yourself to look at your analytics, but don't obsess over it. Focus on the content you make, and focus on finding one thing you think you could improve in your next video. All you need is a phone that takes decent videos and a free editing software to start - use what you already have. The last thing I will say - which I sadly still struggle a bit with: do not compare yourself to anyone else. Some people will have their first video blow up, and that is amazing! If that's you, then ride the wave and enjoy it. But if it isn't, just keep at it. In my opinion, as long as you consistently work on your content, seek feedback and guidance from others you can trust will be 100% honest with you, and keep showing up, you will one day succeed. It may take a month or it may take a few years, but it will pay off. You got this!!

I think it depends. We moved a lot bc of rent costs/bad rentals, but most people don't move as often as we do
