I wore the Phantom GX elite in my usual size 8.5. The size is similar to Vapor 15 elite that they run a little long 1/4th of my thumbnail which in my opinion gives me the best performance. The width was not tight at all that it felt like it had gone through the break in period already.
Unlike Mercurial Vapor 15, I think you can wear Phantom GX without much problem even if you have wide feet.

Hey! What a great in-depth review, I love the way you have covered in details in different weather conditions. Since I live in Aus that it has 4 seasons, it is a such important to know that how it goes with different weather situations. (Especially wet weather in winter). Thank you :) I don’t think it is worthy enough to spend that much money just for the gripknit. Best comparison would be Predator Freak and they provided better grip than Phantom GX imo.

You had mistaken the functionality of ACC and the waterproof, ACC as nike stated give you better grip with the ball in rain condition but water still can soak in the boot, but the GX has a special coating prevent the water soaking in like the lotus effect.

You're getting better at it, good job. The boot seems to be a bit too roomy for your feet. Looks like there are some loose volume about the top of your feet?
That is true. Somehow more roomy than Mercs and other boots on top of my feet but doesn’t bother too much tho.
For the Soleplate issue can you experiment with adding a Carbon fiber insole and let us know if that would help improve the overall experience?

I prefer Mercs over Phantom GX. Phantom GX somehow didn’t feel that nice the first time I tried out shooting.
Amazing review; I adore the gripknit but the lack of foam and other stuffs is a big step back. By the way I just want to ask u, seeing the pitch on where u play, isn’t dangerous to use FG instead of AG? How do u feel about FG, personally if I use them on that tipe of pitch that kills my knees and ankles bcs of the amount of grip they have
Not all AG is the same, the real goods fields have tall blades and feel wet
Thank you; I usually avoid using FG on AG fields cuz of the same reason you mentioned but Phantom GX’s outsole isn’t too bad to use on a good AG field. Overall, I do prefer wearing AG, MG, or TF models on AG fields and just test the FG cleats for the reviews mostly.

They are both great but I recommend Merucrials over Phantom GX!
Do you think it is easy to get the laces tight? I have mercurial vapor 15 and im worried i wont be able to get them tight with the ghost lace cover..
They actually easy and get really tighten up like Mercs!
