Personally, i also play on both and I prefer wearing FG on AG FG than AG on AG FG. That being said these specific boots have a really aggressive stud pattern so if you have the funds i'd recommend getting both AG and FG!
Just got the ag elites for mu birthday in all black and that just fits like you are wearing grips sock but with the grip on top of the sock and the sides
Tip: Wearing shoes - Get a shoe horn. Get the cheap ones as long as it's not flimsy. Makes wearing football boots a breeze Keep it in your bag (don't buy the long ones) No need to struggle wearing shoes when you don't have to. :)
Depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for responsiveness and super light weight i’d go with the Mercurials. If you want a more sock like feel and LOTS of grip. I’d go for the GXs. I hope this helped!
I have the puma ultra 1.4 mg and it was so good ive used them for one and half season but i need new ones now but im doubting which to get between the phantom luna II ag or puma future 7 mg which would you recommend, i really liked my boots because they were perfect ro my feet but besides that they dont add anything so i want somethinf with grip and better soleplate this time which would you recommend
I was looking to get Nike Phatom GX 1 gripknit because they look real nice, ive heard great things about them and i have a wide foot and i heard they are great for wide feet. So i went into store to see if they had them so i could try em on but they didnt, they only had the gx 2, so are the gx 1 and gx 2 the exact same size fitting in width especially, because when i tryed them they were to narrow width wise? Any help would be appreciated.
The gx2 has the WHOLE grip knit upper and i would say is the better one of the 2 for a more “broken into” feel. It almost replicates a feeling of a sock how it wraps around your foot! Gx1 is still very good though!
From my experience the FG version is too aggressive for me to play on AG. If you can get your hands on the AG version that would be ideal but just be careful if you do get them!

In my experience the soleplate is WAY to aggressive to play on AG. Could increase possibility of injury. People have used them on AG but I personally do not recommend it.
Not really but i have noticed that the gripknit around the laces is started to pull along the laces causing the gripknit to open up kore on those spots
