I love Mythbusters, but there are definitely some stories where they got it wrong. I’m thinking this one and the deadly cannon splinters (naval deck guns *start* at *twice* the weight of the land gun they used.)
Such an awesome story, I love that people like Nick are making historical events interesting like this. It gets the younger generation to realize that history is not just dusty old books but the stories of real people with lives worth studying and learning from. Side note: I actually found you from rewatching MLP fan stuff and I see you still have a flutters peaking out there.
He made the statement early on that the difference between a man and a boy is that a man puts other people's welfare ahead of their own. This has been so evident among all of the heroes that he has told us about. Also, it always seems like they are the most humble when it comes to talking about their accomplishments. They may be fully aware that they are the best but, like Carlos said, he just wanted to be remembered as a Marine that did a good job.
