Quick fun fact, there isn’t actually a limit to how many proximity mines you can place. If you keep resupplying you can rival the fatboy and create a miniature hydrogen bomb
Just be mindful the Mines ONLY STAY UP for 3min AT MOST (then they get deleted), so such Minefields are VERY USEFUL on dreadnough jobs, but not much else
@@iwilluseupall50ofthecharac32 they DO get deleted, no matter if they detonated or not, there's a time limit SPECIFICALLY to avoid too many of a given Object clustering the game and hampering performance
What's really fun is using the turret as a minder for your party's half blind gunner, just tell him to look where the turret is firing to see where he needs to put his dakka. Two turrets for the cost of one!
just slap on the lead storm, rev up the brass beast, and kick pack with the dispenser while shooting at anything the turret spots for you wait wrong engie
As a gunner main, I definitely do not ever park myself behind a turret and shoot at its tracers. Nope. Nuh uh. No way. That was the scout. You must have been confused.
My brother in Karl, you did not mention the RJ250 Overclock for the Grenade Launcher. You Literally can Rocket Jump with it, like the good ol' TF2 days.
It's also unironically the best OC for a "vanilla" PGL build, since it gives more ammo than either of the ammo OCs. And if you equip Incendiary Compound (which you should on every build other than Fat Boy), it still oneshots grunts, as well as halving the friendly damage from rocket jumping.
The engineer went from my least favourite class to my second favourite once I got the nuke overclock. I still prefer the gunner, because big guns and more dakka are my two favourite things.
Personal advice at engineering: Unless the position of your turrets is absolutely *PERFECT* recall them after they ran out of ammo and put them somewhere else (extra tip: top of resupply pods make great turret spots) instead of reloading them.
I exploit the shit out of Gemini to always have a sentry on me. Recall the one sentry I have placed down and place another one without having to wait for it to arrive.
4:54 Actually there is no limit except how many resupplies you feel like stealing from the team. If you're at the end of a deep dive and just don't feel like caring anymore, throw down like 30 of these bad bois to kill any bug that steps within 50m of your location, or stack them all in one location and lure a dreadnought there for a fun suprise
Love what flexibility you have with the launcher. Droppin' nukes is fun but I'm more of a Hyper Propellent overclock guy for that sweet 1-shot on a boss's health bar. So satisfying.
I wish there was more of a visual and/or audio indication of when you activate the overdrive booster laser. Like maybe a more unstable beam or a lasergewehr style BWAAAAA
Easily my favorite class in the game. All of the weapons feel fantastic to use, are incredibly effective, and his platform gun makes him the second most mobile class in the game. (Especially if you're rocking with the rocket jumper overclock.)
Love the videos dude! Genuinely helpful and entertaining at the same time. Also, I know there isn't much to cover for the platform gun, but if there were any strategic exploits, or useful tips for it that you know of, I'd be all ears. Engi is my main, but all I know of him is what I've discovered myself.
The engineer had 3 primaries: the 40mm PGL, the Breach cutter, and the shard diffracror. (I know they’re technically secondary weapons but I don’t care I’ll use the shard diffractor like a minigun than you very much.
I'm a little upset that you didn't mention the explosive hello. (It's the return to sender OC with Explosive Goodbye.) It's absolutely the best thing to ever be used on any Dreadnoughts chasing my sorry dwarf rump
I use spinning death with good bye, plasma trail on return to sender, honestly both ways are fun to use, triple split if you got a massive choke with a sea of spider aliens deletes enemies with a bit more range.
Another PGL build I really like is incendiary with RJ250 just for the extra ammo. It still oneshots every grunt within the blast radius because the incendiary doesn't have falloff, and you can spam it. Also you can blast-jump but that's secondary to having something nearly as good as Fat Boy at swarmclear, but with 15+ ammo.
The breach cutter is my favorite secondary purely due to how much it trivializes lithophage outbreak objectives. No need to worry about precision when you can channel your inner Isaac Clarke and rip apart anything in front of you with a mining tool you found in the storage closet.
I run my grenade launcher more traditionally. In that i use the RJ45 overclock that gives it so much more ammo i can use it liberally as an incendiary grenade launcher to burn approaching groups to cinders and even launch myself towards a platform if the scout is being a bit daft. Sometimes a dwarf just wants to carpet the cave in grenades and fly over them, rather than fire a nuke.
The plastacrete catalyst overclock for the shard diffractor is op as balls. it gives your laser turbo big and strong aoe when shooting at a platform and detonates it after soaking up enough energy. It completely decimates both huge swarms and tanky single targets.
Are you really using the Fatboy overclock properly unless you have the proximity detonation upgrade equipped? Is it not peak gameplay to have the nuke detonate immediately on leaving the barrel because a swarmer was tickling your toes? Or adding 200% more panic for yourself and your teammates when you miss and the nuke starts bouncing around the cave like pinball?
Engineer is a really fun class and that's something everyone can agree with! Wish I had more moments where I could squad up and commence "engineer gaming." Overclocks are really good too. Engineer brotherens, what are your favourite overclock s?
Spinning death, fat boy, return to sender, both volt smg turret OCs. And for quality of life rather then memes explosive chemical rounds on lockon smg.
That last bit with the analytics was the cherry on top of the dwarf review. Was there anything else you planned on covering before moving to another game?
Not really. I may wander back to the game if I feel like covering the enemies or the skills for some reason. But as of now, I gotta get this Hi-Fi RUSH video out before people forget about it and then we get to start some RoR2!
I recently realised that the shard diffractor looks like a miniature version of the antimass spectrophotometer from half-life. You shoot a giant orange crystal with 3 poorly aimed laser, and hope it won't explode in your hands, causing a tear in the fabric of reality.
I belive engineers shredders have a health limit to how much they can hurt things because I’ve had only 2-3 come back to me and go to their gaurd state
Hyper propellant made engineer from a class I never wanted to touch, to one I still don’t want to touch but will occasionally bring on an elimination l/caretaker mission that I just want to be done with. but that just means my teammates can do the job of the boring slow management class while I mow down bugs with gunner and driller, or experience something called “Fun” (I know you engineer mains have never heard of it) and zip around with the grapple hook. Rather than baby sit turrets all day.
As an Engi main, I always appreciate you folks who leave lobbies with an open Engineer slot (I feel morally obligated to take other classes if someone else is already the Engi). A Lobby without an Engineer lets me jump in and turn every cave into a Michael Bay film to pump up my kill-count ^_^
Sometimes, I am sad when I play engineer. I kill everything before I have time to savor the fight. I always look for more shells to crack and gold to carry on my back.

quad turret whip is the true potential of minishells
yeah it probably could be rude sometimes, but I feel like proper use of turret whip is always a good thing as far as ammo economy goes.
Imagine the scenario: 4 engies, all carrying gemini turrets, 1 carrying turret whip, 1 turret arc and 1 EMP discharge. Dread shredding machine
