What a touching story! My father had TB when he was 20 and stayed in hospital for 18 months. Now he is 91 and has always been enjoying life with its ups and downs. I wish you all the best, you’re such an amazing young woman. I love your videos, and your cats as well 😻 Hug from Paris ❤

It's quite easy to pick up an illness in a foreign country, my wife picked up a serious kidney disease after swimming in Lake Malawi. It seems you had extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB), luckily not multidrug resistant TB (MDR-TB). TB is a big problem in South Africa, many get MDR-TB if they, for whatever reason, stop taking their drugs for a less serious form of TB. MDR-TB is extremely serious and contagious. I'm glad you recovered.

I had a rather bizarre nightmare myself not long ago. I was sitting at a table eating dinner at a restaurant and all of a sudden, the staff started harassing and threatening me. I feared for my life and then I realized that the 'restaurant' was actually an alien ship. In an act of self defense, I realized that I could move and thrust things with a magnetic pulse flowing from my hands and shouted "LEAVE ME ALONE, OR I'LL DESTROY YOUR SHIP!". And so the nightmare ended. 😃But yours was a nightmare in real life and you defeated it.

Nice story and nice images, thanks for sharing. But i would say this podcast is at least a B2, it's too complex for beginners like me, i had to pause the video multiple times for translating the words, expecially those related to medicine

Да, непростое у тебя было время. Признаться, я думал, что туберкулёз в основном уже побежден и в мире и у нас, по крайней мере не представляет смертельной опасности. Хороший вывод в том, что после такого опыта больше начинаешь ценить какие-то вещи, которые раньше казались обыденными и незначительными.

В России примерно 70000 каждый год заболевают туберкулёзом, к сожалению.
