yep, db cooper probably did not live, even if cheal is right, humans are very fragile ,you can land within 100 miles of your area, if you land in water you can drown, if you make it out and don't find shelter soon you can die from exposure, going home that night is highly improbable as he lost all his money as it floated in the bag witch burst and a few bundles were found next to water, so he fell in the water ,died, eventually things started falling off him including the money bag, and thats it, the story of db is big because he was the first highjacker of a plane, and no one knows him

Chael goes, "Leave the dude alone and I can sign for Kenny if I want. I'll be back down in a little bit and I got you Kenny." His uncle is unfortunately wheelchair bound and told us (my friends and I) so much inside information on Chael. He said after losing to Silva he threw his water bottle against the wall, crying saying in agitated state "I'm always #2." Til this day, I have no idea about his collegiate wrestling career but he did mention Chael being runner up even at his collegiate wrestling tournament. Chael has a wonderful wife, family, and team. I grew up in Oregon, and I can tell you one thing for sure. I don’t think that Bigfoot exists, but I know exactly why the people that do think he exists think he’s out here. That span of forest that Chael is referring to is bigger than you think. Unless you’ve seen it with your own eyes, it’s hard to put into words how vast that expanse of trees is. You can hike to the top of the highest hill you can find out there, get yourself the best view you can, and you CANNOT see an end to the forest in ANY direction.

The real Dan Cooper's first name was Darcy and he was from an unincorporated town just outside of Eugene/Springfield, OR. He died around 2010 in his mid 70s. I knew him well and was his bartender and friend for many years. He was a Vietnam Vet but not a paratrooper. He served in the Marine Corp. He never bragged but he never worked another day in his life. He used the money to pay off his family's old home and he lived in it till he died. He lived very cheaply and mainly spent money on beer. In his sixties he suffered a massive heart attack and began receiving a disability pension. He was a nice man. Kind of wild but very cool. The guy in this video is full of shit.

I can guarantee this is 100% accurate. Chael and I have a mutual acquaintance that quipped to me, long before I was at all interested in the Chael persona, that if I didn't think he had anything interesting to offer I must not have followed the "Cooper story". Made no sense to me at the time and I didn't want to sound like an idiot having to ask. In the end I dismissed the comment and changed the subject. Over the years I saw a buzzfeed story about DB Cooper and later some other documentaries and the like. It never occurred to me that this was related. And why would it?! Now I see why they call him "Honest Uncle" out west. He just can't tell a lie.
btw your acquaintance and me have a mutual acquaintance, whose father's half-brother, happened to know a guy that was working in a gas station, from which DB Coopers jump instructor used to buy cigarettes. The dude used to tell a story how on the first jump, DB managed to hide from him while they were strapped to the same parachute mid-air
Dan Gryder recently released a TH-cam documentary about this topic. I don't know why this guy is teasing everyone when anyone who watched the documentary already knows who DB Cooper is.

The most plausible explanation I heard is that DB Cooper never existed, and that members of the flight crew planned the robbery, saying they were being held hostage. Perhaps when it got too far they didn't really know how to complete the heist, so they dumped the money out of the plane and said DB jumped, with the plan to get the money later on.
that sounds pretty good, but according to the wiki page, some of the passenger's testimony checks with what the flight attendant has said. Description matching, etc.
What about the guy, last name Cooper (fake name, fake ID, but definitely a real person, fitting a real description) who bought a real plane ticket, who got on the plane, but didn't get off when the plane landed.
@@davidjewell9796 Any idea how check ins happened in the 70s? I wouldn't be surprised if the list of who got on the plane was kept in the plane, being filled by someone of the crew.
@@davidjewell9796 Well I don't know what the answer to that is, it's why this mystery has never been solved. Every possible explanation has a dozen "what about...?" questions that go unanswered. A fake plane ticket for a person who doesn't exist seems like the easiest part to pull off back then.
You can probably tell from my name on here that I enjoy this case. My first ever email address on aol is a version of db cooper. I love this case. And if there is anyway you could share info I’d love to hear it
He talks about it on Joe Rogans podcast 216, back in the early days of the podcast, only way to hear it is on Spotify. Pretty much Chaels claim is that his family is friends with DB Cooper but the guy never fully admitted it, but he stopped working after the hijack happened and had training jumping from planes and stuff. Chael claimes he knows him personally and knows exactly who he is. I heard it like 3 years ago so I might be a little off.

@@johnbartlett3160 he requested four parachutes and jumped with two. One of which was sewn shut. So it’s possible he died on impact but it’s far from a certainty.
I think Uncle Chael is forgetting one very important part: the plane left the airport and had to detour away from the original flight path to it's original destination. Meaning the hijacker would never have been able to link up with someone on the ground because only the pilots knew where they were on the flight DB Cooper jumped out of. Also, if Uncle Chael knows his grandson please ask him why he decided to bury ¼ of the money and bury it in a sandbar by the river. Further, please ask him how he managed to survive all night after jumping into the woods on a rainy night in November with loafers and no cold weather gear. Much more likely is he died from exposure (probably surving since his parachute was never recovered, and he buried some of the money which was then recovered) and then predation took his body and most of the evidence away.
Native American male who died in AZ at the end of December 2020, who could be linked to Portland area in the 1970’s, would fit age range, and would likely fit some elements of generic DB profile. If Chael is being 100% honest here then an adept researcher could compile a workable list of suspects.

Chael Sonnen & D.B Cooper two of my all time favorite subjects wrapped in one. TH-cam can't any better for me than this!!
This might single handedly be the best video Chael has ever done..... He needs to do just a couple more videos outside of MMA
Yea it's like the guy in the hole
Yeah. Chael could just have a few videos on random things and he would probably get alot more growth. Since his audience wouldn't be restricted to the whole combat sports audience. It would get out to everyone
Haven’t even watched it but I expect to leave half believing Chael rolled with DB Cooper early in his career in some random Arizona gym and kept the secret 😂
So weird seeing a dude im subbed to in the comment section of one of the most random fucking videos of all time lmao
@@GarryM180 usually ppl say that and it’s pretty normal but on this one, I’ll give it to you hahaha
Bigfoot does exist.

Why do people in florida call them skunk apes, lousiana swamp boogers, Kentucky they call them wood boogers, momo in Missouri etc
Just a buncha liars for the last 2500 years I guess
Sasquatch is as real as DB Cooped
None of the money was spent that was given for the ransom, the FBI took pictures of the money and knew the serial numbers. Explain that.
He took the money to Canada and over a few months slowly exchanged it for Canadian currency and then switched it back.
@@Jupiterbotz so the Canadian government is covering for the so called Dan Cooper? I don't buy it.

2. Worked for boeing aerospace
3. From Arizona, died two years ago

There is no such thing as an unsolved mystery, because the GOAT knows everything.
He died in Prison Break Chael

Hey Chael,if it’s not too much trouble could you tell me the two pieces of information about the D. B Cooper case and also how you were able to deduce who he was? If so,my wife and I would greatly appreciate it.

Chael sir, your whole get down, blueprint for solid character. Ya know. You keep us thoroughly informed with the nuances and overlooked factors
I just fucken enjoy me badguy gospel. Safety and blessings to your family.tip of the hat to you. And a thanks for your fighting and example.

So glad that you covered this. This is a very good topic that so many of us are curious about.

This guy is toying with you. Watch the documentary on TH-cam by Dan Gryder. You'll find the answer to the question.
Chael will you please give me the information? Thank you
Native American male who died in AZ at the end of December 2020, who could be linked to Portland area in the 1970’s, would fit age range, and would likely fit some elements of generic DB profile. If Chael is being 100% honest here then an adept researcher could compile a workable list of suspects.
