This has been fascinating, thank you. Looking forward to watching the rest. I’ve no intention to start designing myself but it’s so interesting to see how a designer goes through the process.
This was such a great video! I have really been struggling to find quality sources of information on this topic. I'm so excited to tag along for your knitventure!
I’ve recently found your podcast and I'm so excited to watch your knitventure! I’m currently grading my first jumper myself and I was wondering if you had any tips and tricks when it comes to calculating short row shaping? I want to add it to the back directly after the cast on, but I'm not sure how to calculate how long it should be in relation to the length of the back yoke! It’s so so hard to find any information about it. I’ve worked my way through Sister Mountains sweater design school and not even she has any info on calculating short row shaping!! 💖
hello!! I actually did learn how to calculate short rows from her: www.sistermountain.com/blog/short-row-shaping-spreadsheet?format=amp In terms of length, i usually go with 2.5-3cm. That’s just from experience. Hope it helps! There won’t be any short row shenanigans in this series because it shows up so much in the half fisherman’s rib! 🙈
Great new series! Thank you for sharing your process!
Such a great insight!!! 😍
