    Nice info! Thanks to both of you for sharing this! What is your reco for a batting shoe that has best toe protection against toe crushers? Any reasonable options to pick from a toe safety point of view? Thanks in advance, friends!

      @SeriousCricketTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi VJ, all shoes (especially those that are higher quality) will offer a level of protection for the toe (although they don't quite make shoes like they used to with reinforced toe protection). You can't go wrong with either New Balance or Adidas batting shoes as these typically have the most protective features packed into them.

    Great content guys, just had a quick question.
    I am a medium pacer, are the bowling shoes okay to field with and bat with if needed. Or would I better off looking for an all round pair?

    • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Umar, It's dependent on what you'd be most comfortable in. As a medium pace bowler, an all-round pair of shoes would be a great option, but equally, you will lose the support that is given by a bowling shoe 🏏

    Great video and explanation guys. I’m a medium pacer, however play only at a club level. I have noticed ankle pain of late with a pair of ASICS 200 not out shoes I have from a couple of years ago. Looking for a new pair, would you recommend a bowling shoe or is it possible my pain has got to do with something else and not the ASICS batting shoes I wear ? Thanks !

    • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Addy, it is very difficult for us to comment on the reason as to why you are experiencing ankle pain - we would recommend seeing a professional for a diagnosis who will be able to find the cause of your issue. If you are putting a heavy load through your ankles, extra support in the shoe will always help and it may be advised that you should look at a new pair of spikes. Good luck with it all 👍

      Hi there, it really depends on what feels best on your feet. Unfortuantely we can't get hold of Asics in the UK anymore but they were always a really good shoe. • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sahil, thanks for your question. The New Balance CK4040 Spike would be an example of a specific Bowling Spike, designed to maximize the support, stability, cushioning, and ground impact support in the shoe.
      This isn't to say that an all-rounder-style cricket spike isn’t going to offer these attributes to an individual player.
      Mark Wood wears the CK4030 because he finds it works best for him but in terms of what would suit an individual player best - it is almost impossible for us to decide that, and would always leave that for you to decide.

    Which spikes are good for leg spinners?

    • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no right or wrong answer here. Bowling-specific shoes offer more protection at the ankle, especially for those fast bowlers. However, you might want a lighter shoe and freedom of movement. If you feel like you need extra protection and support at the ankle, I would look at a bowling shoe. However, if you wanted something a bit lighter, you may be best looking at an all-rounder option where you can get the best of both worlds 👍

    Are Adidas 22 YDS good for a bowling allrounder (leg spinner)?

    • @SeriousCricketTV
      @SeriousCricketTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Basim, the 22 YDS are designed as a lightweight batting shoe, however, that is not to say it can't be used for bowling. It will depend on whether you feel more comfortable bowling in a lighter shoe or prefer more support which you would get from an all-rounder shoe.
