Hello, I am 14 years old and playing u15 cricket. For some reason i cant get enough power to hit sixes. I think it may be because i am using a size 6 bat when i am 5’5. Do you think i should use harrow or short handle?
It's not all about hitting sixes. There could be a few reasons why your not hitting sixes. You don't have enough power yourself I.e. muscles. 2 your not getting in the correct positions and keeping your shape after coming through. The bat could be the reason but is more than likely not the reason.
Being a 14-year-old playing under 15 cricket is tough. You are physically a year young and that makes a difference. As the previous comment says work on the technical aspects of hitting the ball well and it will happen for you in the fulness of time. did not get any good info from your video. you need to check what material these helmets are made of. i had a SS matrix which got broken on the forehead from a bouncer, not fast..it says its fibreglass on their website. maybe thats a crappy material for a helmet. i ordered a helmet online after consulting with the manufacturer and ended up being a smaller size ! adjustable grills makes lives a bit easier than fixed grill ones.
Hi! Check our video where we discuss how much you should spend on a Junior Cricket Bat - th-cam.com/video/v93xSnfIw10/w-d-xo.html ! It's also worth mentioning that cricket bats are very individual pieces of equipment, meaning you may like different preferences e.g weight, low/high middle, or even play in different styles to the next person. In order to find the best bat for you, we always recommend (if you can ) heading to your nearest specialist retailer. Here you can pick up the bats and play some shadow shots, helping you select the one that feels most comfortable to you!
I would love a video on how to clean cricket gear - pads/gloves etc. if you ever have the time! Thanks :)
Great video, thank you for sharing
