Congratulations on the house! It's really lovely to see the two of you working together. That your partner takes the time to show you how to use a tool or complete a job. The two of you dividing tasks and getting to work. You clearly have a great relationship, so wonderful to see😊
Thank you that’s so lovely to hear! He’s super patient with me and has done an incredible job at things that I wouldn’t even know where to start, I’m a lucky gal 💘
this is so fun to watch!! the DIY girlie to house building pipeline is strong these days😂 I kept thinking this is the UK version of Jenna Phipps renovating her old house, in the best way possible!! I like this kind of content!
The pipeline is so real haha! Our renovation is much much smaller so I won’t have as much content to share but I’m glad you’re enjoying it! I was worried my audience wouldn’t like renovation content as much
Congratulations on your house!!! My grandparents live in Wroxham and I visit Norwich whenever I visit them. I live in California. Found you through your scoodie pattern, but stayed for the vlogs. I helps me live out my fantasy of owning a house in England one day...
please, please, please wear eye protection for all demo and construction work. all it takes it one piece of something to fly your way to severely damage your vision for life. it is VERY important ppe!!!!
We had eye & mouth masks and earphones on for everything going forward, these were the first 4 days of having the keys and the next few weeks we upgraded our gear :)
Never heard of floor slithers before but how nice is it to get rid of carpet and reveal lovely floorboards underneath?? My dream is to live in a carpet free home!
Shouldn't you use lime plaster so it breathes? Cement absorbs moisture and your houses in the UK always seem to be moldy and damp. I don't think that's a good combination. Also did you check for lead and asbestos before starting tearing it all apart? Good luck on the remodel.
Ryan did a plastering apprenticeship when he was younger so I trust he knows his stuff with that, we also had an asbestos survey done prior to purchasing the house :)
I'm always impressed by people who can just pick up a tool and begin a home renovation process. Thank you for sharing your process with us!
Thank you! I was lucky since Ryan already has geeat construction experience so he’s been teaching me lots of new skills :)

Love this series of renovations! Ryan seems like a Jack of all trades!
He really is! He’s been incredible at this renovation and is teaching me so much

i’m so far away from buying a house, but this is somehow still as interesting as ever
I’m so glad it’s interesting, I’ve been in such a bubble I was worried this might be boring for other people haha
@@averpaulano it’s somehow still really cozy :)

Excited to see your vision come into fruition and bless you for the sneezing 🤧.
The dust was real 😂
I live for renovation content RAAA ✨✨✨
please don't forget those nice big noise cancelling headphone/ear muffs to protect your ears!!
obsessed with you making the house in sketchup - i would be exactly the same! good luck with the rest of the renovation
Thank you so much! I’m planning a video of my dream renovation on sketch up if I had unlimited budget 🏡
For the room reno ideas, which app do you use for rough planning/designing? Good luck!
Sketch up
Exciting times!
What good charity shop finds! I never have much luck haha
I had a larger version of this guardian angel in 1965 when I was a kid and I bought one for my own kids too. 💕
That’s so sweet, it’s definitely my favourite find of the renovation:)

I'm subscribed but this didn't appear in my feed!
first ☺️ hehe
Were you born in Germany? I would have no idea from your accent, you sound as British as it comes!
Doing renovation in double denim surely needs to be just a pretend 😂
How is it different to a boiler suit, especially when I wear denim almost every day anyways?
You probably know this now but always wear safety goggles! Stuff can just fly up. On and face masks. Lots of nasty stuff in old houses
