I have a question that i couldn't find the answer whether on youtube or Google i was thinking to send an email or a call to cisco . My question is about cisco exams policy Please Man if u can help. I know the period of time that a ccie holder must wait 6 month to take another exam. But what if i passed (succeeded) the ENCOR 350-401 exam and now I'm a specialist HOW LONG i have to wait to pass the second exam to become a ccnp holder ? Can i pass the same exams in the same day ? Or i must wait 180 days ? Because I've been studying and i have the knowledge i wanna pass ccnp soon. ( ccna is not mandatory) Cuz if 180 day honestly i does take a long time let's imagine passing the CCNA exam and wait 6 month passing encor 350-401 and wait 6 months, another 6 months to become a CCNP holder that means it gonna take nearly 2 years . I wish I'll wrong about this , If you can explain in details please, i will be so grateful to you. thanks.
When i first started i was asking the same questions, "Which cert is best", "Hacking first? or python? or PowerShell? or Bash?" There is no right or wrong answer, work on all of it because you need to know it all anyway. Some weeks you feel motivated to reverse engineer malware, the next week you're looking at Cisco appliances and specs. It doesn't matter, do what motivates you at the moment and keep falling down the rabbit hole.
This is the most motivational and best learning experience I've had to getting an idea if this is the career for me. For the first time, I feel interesting and exciting again, learning so much. Thank you.
Its probably beacause of all the numbed idiots that he knows will use most what he teaches and then in turn throw it on someone who least suspects something criminal is happening behind their back very covertly. Trust me that soon afterwards anyone who hacks will land in a federal prison for it. Hacking is a criminal offense that carries stiff sentences in all U.S states. Hacking someone's facebook account or Gmail will land you in a jailcell. I'm grateful for his uploads to know of what all to expect from nosey neighbors these days and the importance in having defense mechanisms in protecting yourself. Thanks Chuck!

Thanks Mr. Chuck! This is great for someone as myself. 64 years old, A+ CompTia Cert 2001, doing volunteer work at a non profit in Cyber Security. I'm laughing out loud when you guys mentioned CEH and I definitely agree with John to take something more practical rather than working on your memory to complete that MCQ exam. I took it nevertheless just to have an idea of what they want out from us. Though I passed it, I still think OSCP is the way to go if you want to be a practical pentester. Worse should you take CEH practical for that kind of price they charge, go for something else.

Hey did u figure it out? I am a webdeveloper and hostgator is good learning platform. Alot of tutorials and a Cpanel to make stuff easier. Its for pro's but designed for future so people lacking coding get the whole picture easier how webdevelopment goes. Code stays code no need to reinvent because a function is invented inside the code to work that way. The smart people who designed the PC knew about future thats why alot of studiy is needed. Took me long times to master webdevelopment and understand SEO, marketing etc. But its worth it. Goodluck
IT ALL DEPENDS: If you're someone who doesn't even know the difference between a video card and a sound card, go get all the education you can. If you're someone like Mr Hammond or my friend Evans, who just understands these things like 1st grade spelling and can demonstrate at an interview with a the laptop their skills and *how it relates to the role you're applying for*. And again, a degree may not be needed. Dell here in Austin, instead of requiring degrees for certain roles and positions they're hiring for, instead they forecast what positions they'll need, then post "job offerings with internal training" and take those within the company no matter their current department (they could be a warehouse worker but they want to become a Gandolf code writer, or security, or IT, Dell will take ppl from other departments that show a love for said roles theyll be needing and hiring for, and they will train them x amount of hours out of the 40 hour work week. Instead of hiring someone outside the company with a four-year degree they'll take someone in the company train them a few hours out of their week, and in 6 months they've got nothing but on hands hands on training, which is infinitely more useful and practical than any classroom setting. Do what you feel *YOU NEED TO DO*
fun FACT...!! So i was ranked 1st in the world in Call Of Duty and maintained top 10 for 6 years in a row... I have retired from all that now, and evolved to hacking for a career. SEE... COD got my adrenaline going and once you get so good you lose that feeling. But when i found hacking that adrenaline came rite back to me. So when John is talking about esports... Seriously i do feel like hacking is the next evolution for top tier gamers!!!
My attention is easily going everywhere but i literally am so interested in this and love learning and challenging myself. I am so glad this is here...i have never been so excited 2 learn & explore so thank u so much !!!
Dearest Chuck, you are truly an inspiration as an educator and your passion is so unbelievably refreshing. I have always struggled with a lot of the concepts you run through but you have an excellent skill at taking complex concepts and explaining them to the simplest of minds. Plus you're properly entertaining, engaging and funny. Now enough blowing smoke, lol, but yeah, thank you for taking the time to provide us with some of the best content on the tube. My girlfriend is even hooked on your channel and she couldn't be the least bit interested in my hacking obsession, ethically, of course. Now we're building hacking labs together. Sometimes she even lets me be the black hat attacker in night time "pentesting" 😂 Keep up the excellent work and above all, stay awesome. Thanks again. Hack the planet, and again, ethically of course.
I just finished watching this replay and wish I could have caught it live! This is one of the most encouraging and excellent streams I have ever watched, and I am not in any way involved with hacking or IT. I tinker with and build robots. I am always tinkering with and learning new stuff, not necessarily in that order though. Keep up these great streams and PLEASE have John come back for another 2.5 hours or more.
Sorry I know I'm behind, but I was a phone phreak and a little more back in the day. I'm going into the field after I've seen my friends and even I get hacked ( one friend lost $90k) Thank you so much for all of these videos. People are so surprised that i can do so much that I taught myself but compared to the 90's these kids have it easy and you help so much with the information but also the joy and excitement for it. And python I love it. It's like just an upgraded version of Visual Basic..Thank you so much you are awesome and i wish i could afford to be in the army but soon i will be. I just started a career in life insurance and i hate it so being hacked might be a blessing in disguise.. but you and John are both great wish i was around years ago but im catching up I'm definitely Red Team. I love the boxing match I call it.
*a friend of mine works for an on call IT company. He says half the jobs that he is sent out to do, he doesn't know how to do them. Yet, he knows there's always a video for that task either on TH-cam or somewhere. And I asked are you serious? And he said yes I accept almost every job I get offered, and when I get to the client and they give me the task I just get to researching instructional videos. So you don't always have to have every piece of knowledge downloaded in your brain, because you can just look it up as you're working, with some headphones in and boom your instructor for your job is the device you're holding in your hand*
A relative of mine mine took programming classes for a degree. One of the classes the teacher did not even know the Language so beginning of every class was just googling the course for the day
Wow this has been one of the most helpful video I’ve ever watched!! Thank you both for this great content! I feel a little better about getting into cyber security
"tricking you into learning" - I love this because traditional education is SO bad. Lecture and testing is not how your brain works and this quote reflects how ingrained it is in our culture. "Information dump and forget it the next day." 😂
I definitely need learn how to do this as I'm tired of attempting to contact Google from high to low only to discover non-responsive or dead e-mail and links, non-working phone numbers or an automated system specifically designed to keep you on perpetual hold, & a non-existent customer support which even Google's blog site says does no exist. I have legal documents which I cannot access with statute of limitations nearing an end and Google eliminating inactive accounts.
I am currently studying Cyber Security at an “undiclosed” location, but i have easily learned more about ethical hacking and networking by watching your youtube videos, and yes that Google relogin screen had me scared xD
Lol. That reminds me of one of the projects I just worked on. Everyone in the company said they did not know how the game worked so I had to go through the entire source code to learn how it worked and add a new feature. Took me a while and i don't recommend it for anyone. 😂
I kept hearing a familiar voice over my headphones on the floor, my monitor was off! so now ii forgot what I was doing ( probably because of the on screen keyboard 🎹 🎹 im getting too used too ) loved all yyour shows! Thank you Chuckand john!

Great Video. I have subscribed to John Hammond’s youtube channel. Great content. When I was working as a network engineer, Cisco Networking and Linux were my comfort zone!
@@emzgalante2640 I know that. I’m answering a question about buying a raspberry pi. Thanks for assuming I have no knowledge about networking principles though.
Very informative video. I appreciate breaking down the road to hacking and understanding systems. Thanks! I'm a new subscriber and looking forward to viewing more of your content : )
I wish I had hacking as a career choice when I was looking into career choice training out of high school. Problem is I am 53 (ouch) but really became passionate about computers over the years. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would be in I.T. But life takes over and I could dabble in it as a hobby but full on training might be beyond me at this point. Great channel Mr. NC! I need to order some of your coffee, which one is dark roast???
Add three years and you are where i am. CTF as a hobby is ace, only problem is learning it takes up sooooooo much time. But age is definitely not an issue :)
Although Python is probably more applicable to "hacking" it doesn't set up a very good base to learn other languages. So I would recommend learning C and then going on to python.
@@justkidding4178 If you want to be good at hacking you need to have a good understanding of a range of languages. Like for Web hacking you would need java script and for operating system type hacking C is a good language. Python is mainly used for scripting and writing automated programs in hacking. So having a good understanding of C is just a helpful as python, it's doesnt matter what order you learn them.
It’s about what you’re intending to do. If you want to automate, go with python. If you want to work with low-level stuff like memory and CPU go with C.
I'd recommend you go with Python if you want hacking for sure. Then you can learn C if you want. Learn networking, that should be your priority. You can get into cybersec without programming, but never without networking.
I discovered a vulnerability on my corporate network and reported it to IT. Their response was to send out a company-wide email saying not to do the thing that led me to discover it. Its still not fixed and I didn't even get a thank you.
Be careful, because it’s probably illegal what you did. You can’t just go search for vulnerabilities without signing some sort of contract first. If you’ve discovered the vulnerability by using some tool or by injecting code or whatever, you’re in the realm of illegality.
There are actually a couple things to learn from these spam comments. 1. Phishing is most effective when it preys on emotions. The comments are about cheating spouses because they're trying to prey on people's insecurity/jealousy. Another good tool is fear or urgency, so you can make someone react without thinking. 2. Optimize your target. At least some of the people watching hacking videos are doing it because they want access to the social media account(s) of someone they know. Spamming those comments on toy review videos would be pointless. But a video about hacking or "How to tell if your spouse is cheating" is a great place to catch a desperate dummy. I guarantee at least one person was dumb enough to take their bait.

I hate certs. At least for where I live. I graduated in 05 with certs in Cisco and CompTIA and was told by 40+ companies I’m too qualified. Here I am years later and find I had more success not putting them in my resume and just showing I know the knowledge.
Welcome to hack-rassic park~❤️ Sorry, couldn't refrain, but I'm enjoying this, I really want to sit down and learn this stuff, I've only had some minor use with Ubuntu Linux when I couldn't get a windows install for some old computers or old laptops and I mainly just played with it a little bit and learned how to use GIMP for image editing lol
the running theme among all these guests is: learn code but I'm not a great coder. someone get a psycho analyst on the horn cuz I wanna explore this connection
I found these self checkouts just sitting in Walmart parking lot with all the wires cut so I figured hey free computer shit lol I turned it on and it booted up sears POS and had "end of life" window until I got into bios and changed the boot to net suite and windows embedded booted up I've been poking around on it. I bet you guys would just love to dig around on this machine it's definitely a Walmart self check out. Still had the hard drive. Just didn't have the whole stand with it. Was sitting next to the cart return in the parking lot. Looked like it was littered on the ground so I "rescued" it
Im a beginner barely learning linux line, all i been doing is watching videos on my cell phone but, what do u recommend a mac or Windows laptop. i was thinking a windows with a vm
Usually, most professionals would recommend Mac. But I think it would go down to specs. Cores, clock speed and Ram. Should these specs equal those of a Mac, I would choose the mac
This is a great video. I'm learning python now not Linux. I'm doing it backwards ahha. It's so interesting to learn the different paths people take to learn

Goodluck
IT ALL DEPENDS:
If you're someone who doesn't even know the difference between a video card and a sound card, go get all the education you can.
Do what you feel *YOU NEED TO DO*
You learn to hack by encountering an obstacle or problem, and needing to look deep to figure something out. Hacking is problem solving.
fun FACT...!!
Such a legend!
I like and honestly love the way of John Hammond teach. I learned from him the methodology of kept the record, notes etc
Not all games are waste of time ,when you compete with others you grow, you lose get angry you grow and you can level up your moral thinking.
Worth every minute of this long interview! thanks guys!!
Chuck flashing the “you need to study right now” every time he takes a sip of coffee 😂😂🤣
@Clinton Shaun What’s my VPN’s IP?
😸
Two of the best guys ever. I do programing not a hacker but I enjoy both ur content.
John Hammond looks, sounds, twitches just like Snowden. Only the ruby on rails version.
Exactly what I thought
He is
Sorry I know I'm behind, but I was a phone phreak and a little more back in the day.
HEY GUYS I AM 12 YEARS OLD AND I CAN HAKE COMPUTERS
network chunk and John hammonds is a killing combination. quality content
Love from india 🇮🇳 (tamil nadu)
"tricking you into learning" - I love this because traditional education is SO bad. Lecture and testing is not how your brain works and this quote reflects how ingrained it is in our culture. "Information dump and forget it the next day." 😂
One of, if not thee best, my favorite videos on the internet. Awesome job and great conversation.
The "you need to study right now" mug is killer.
Its actually "undisclosed"
My first time i see Chuck is too serious,😂 when john is talking about hacking
He is fully crazy intrested about hacking
Lol. That reminds me of one of the projects I just worked on. Everyone in the company said they did not know how the game worked so I had to go through the entire source code to learn how it worked and add a new feature. Took me a while and i don't recommend it for anyone. 😂
Hi Mr. chuck and hi Mr. Hammond currently studying for my Sec + and the GCSP lots of studying but fun
When John said "I show CybereSecurity content" I instantly subbed to him! Thanks Chuck
Love watching both these guys, so much info...however listening to John, I can't help but hearing Seth Rogan.
thank you for educating us...
I kept hearing a familiar voice over my headphones on the floor, my monitor was off! so now ii forgot what I was doing ( probably because of the on screen keyboard 🎹 🎹 im getting too used too ) loved all yyour shows! Thank you Chuckand john!
Hope you have this guy back soon.
I am so glad *Veratti100 on telegram* didn't disappoint me after I explained my order and the situation I was facing ,glad he raised me $50,000 for just the little I have to invest with him.
Honestly, just owning it and not trying to hide it is a partially why I watch you. It's the honorable thing to do and it make the rest of jobs much more believe when you are call out of the spots like that, so thank you for making me see his phone activities
That's Ed Sheeran man, John Hammond was the CEO of InGen and created a dinosaur theme park.
Edit: Apparently the video beat me to it.
□I never knew I could get my spouse password to his Snapchat account without him noticing *GRIFFITHACKER* on Instagram did a great job💯✅
Wow that is so funny haha
52:07 reminder. OSCP certificate is the top certification right now (21/12/2021)
John sounds like Snowden!!!! Good stuff - thanks for sharing!!
Jo(h)n Snow(den) xD
Not hearing it at all.
□I never knew I could get my spouse password to his Snapchat account without him noticing *GRIFFITHACKER* on Instagram did a great job💯✅
@@IAMinCOMMAND32 He might have lost a lot. You should blame the government for killing innocent lives, not him. But treason? From my point of view, the government committed treason. The government did something illegal and *Snowden only made it public*. What's the illegal thing here? Same as with Assange, journalism is not a crime!
I gave up about 6 months ago at cybersec but this interview has motivated me to start again.
Two of my favorite TH-camrs,
Now we are taking
taking what
I loved John’s input. Chuck, how do you never miss! You have some amazing content, I love it
Excellent content, thank you to you both.
I am so glad *Veratti100 on telegram* didn't disappoint me after I explained my order and the situation I was facing ,glad he raised me $50,000 for just the little I have to invest with him. Am from 🇺🇸
Great Video. I have subscribed to John Hammond’s youtube channel. Great content. When I was working as a network engineer, Cisco Networking and Linux were my comfort zone!
There is always a vulnerability. ALWAYS
Fuckin' right Guy Fawkes
Yup. There will always be the human error.
I am very happy to see you guys together, thank you!
What raspberry pi should I get the 3 or the 4 to start hacking?
You don’t need a raspberry pi. Install Kali Linux in WSL2 on windows, or a virtual box VM for free.
@@garethoates BTW, that's not hacking. It's following scripts. Learn networking principles first, understand the process!
@@emzgalante2640 I know that. I’m answering a question about buying a raspberry pi. Thanks for assuming I have no knowledge about networking principles though.
Just freaking get one lol 😂
Thank you very much for your videos ...your channel is so cool you make learning easier and funnier! Love from Europe!
Very informative video. I appreciate breaking down the road to hacking and understanding systems. Thanks! I'm a new subscriber and looking forward to viewing more of your content : )
Your imposter sydrome talk inspired me to start working on my youtube channel thank you
Step one of becoming a hacker. That haircut :D Amazing video guys!
Network Chuck, you have asked all the right questions. Well done presentation.
Thanks chuck.. Dont stop doing this. Love
Have already been watching both you guys.... found this later, but was a great watch!!
Hello there! - Ah, General Hammond! Great interview!
Age dont matter do it for fun and see where it takes you
Add three years and you are where i am. CTF as a hobby is ace, only problem is learning it takes up sooooooo much time. But age is definitely not an issue :)
Im tring to go with C shall i go with python after that or get better with C
Although Python is probably more applicable to "hacking" it doesn't set up a very good base to learn other languages. So I would recommend learning C and then going on to python.
@@yannikzwolsman1980 thats what im doing but i wanna know how long i can go with C in hacking
Very sympathetic Guest and Delightful interview!
I know cd and ls. Can I be a h4xor?
pretty much
No. You have to learn 1337 and cheat at video games 🤣
One the best videos, I have watched in a while. Great Content
Thank you for your great advice and guidance thank you very much
Dang, what's up with all the spam bot messages in the comments. And why is it all about cheating spouses. Dafuq.
Network Chuck Thank you, confirming the truth.
IppSec for the next interview?
I am so glad *Veratti100 on telegram* didn't disappoint me after I explained my order and the situation I was facing ,glad he raised me $50,000 for just the little I have to invest with him. Am from 🇺🇸
@Drizzy Dilly Exactly! It will be pretty interesting to hear him talking about his path.
Man , you're good , I spend sleepless nights watching your videos, you can't know how much you helped me . I wish I can buy you a coffee
Hackers suspended above shark tank with 3 mins to hack the other or hacker gets dumped in the tank.
I hate certs. At least for where I live. I graduated in 05 with certs in Cisco and CompTIA and was told by 40+ companies I’m too qualified. Here I am years later and find I had more success not putting them in my resume and just showing I know the knowledge.
How about IppSec for next interview ?
I got paid from @Veratti100 on telegram few minutes ago . So speechless 😶 though he wasn’t real but found him legitimate
Welcome to hack-rassic park~❤️
Sorry, couldn't refrain, but I'm enjoying this, I really want to sit down and learn this stuff, I've only had some minor use with Ubuntu Linux when I couldn't get a windows install for some old computers or old laptops and I mainly just played with it a little bit and learned how to use GIMP for image editing lol
this is one of the best of your videos... for noobs like me. respect
If two beasts in Cyber security meet up🌝
I hope you like my Mambokoin you helped me learn so awesome stuff
Only 10minutes in, but damn, getting legitimate answers from the guy is like trying to milk a rock...
?
the running theme among all these guests is: learn code but I'm not a great coder. someone get a psycho analyst on the horn cuz I wanna explore this connection
man that bass intro is awesome !
Great video! Would be cool to see similar to the Excel World Championships they have these days
How can I one find time to do it all? Security, cloud, dev ops, electrical engineering.
that guy at 3:14 in the chat really said "reverb chuck" XDDDDDDDDDDDD
I wanted to hear John say in closing. Thank you... and welcome to Jurassic Park (IT) lol
Before backtrack we used Auditor like champions. I miss those old live boots.
@@tyronemguni3895 Thanks for response
not into sports but CTF as a spectator event, i can get behind that's sports for geeks.
All thanks #hackeastt on Instagram they are the best online tutors online I recommend them
This is a great video. I'm learning python now not Linux. I'm doing it backwards ahha. It's so interesting to learn the different paths people take to learn
I know John from a long long time 👌😌🇸🇦 God pleasing to you both guys
