the reason for high cpu usage is because fsr frame gen is on by default on the game to turn it off you have to edit the config file in mw3 when having it enabled it had both gpu and cpu maxed out instead of gpu mainly being maxed or if on a weaker gpu cpu being maxed out reason for steams performance could be steam pulling recourses or that call of duty is not optimized well on it

@@hypnotickiller4802 7800x3d and 7900xtx on steam and i can play zombies with well over 200 fps on high, only the bug map warzone has bad performance for me
Did you figure it out? Same specs and issues here
Lets just hope for a quick fix or at least explanation of this...
will you test Stalker 2? the game is in gamepass :) Great Video!
I will!
@@zWORMzGamingPwease test between 4060, 3060ti or 2080 super since these have almost same performance and most people on steam use 3060ti
so what about if playing through xbox? since they are contracted with them now does it make a difference?
i recommend you to use the AMD Fidelity CAS at 80% as sharpener instead of the NVIDIA Image Scaling, its much sharper and gets slightly better fps than the nvidia scaler on native
What about xbox pc app?
For whatever reason disabling resize bar was the fix for me on the steam version. This was the first time I purchased call of duty on steam and will likely be the last
Disabling resizable bar worked for me too. Maybe you should do a comparison between config files - has to be a setting that is different between Steam and Battlenet.
Hi how did u do this? Pls help
@ boot into BIOS and disable above 4g encoding or look for the resize bar option in ez mode and turn it off
@kenopangilinan4286 it's a setting in the bios (very easy to do)
7:55 you would be surprised on what activion does on purpose.. they r allways doing shiii like that over the last few years
Could you try changing the voice settings to party only and voice chat off on steam version, You get a big FPS boost when you do.
As neroscinema once said, "FOUR YEARS TREYARCH, 4 YEARS!!!!!!"
How have they done this??????😭
Warzone is handled more by Raven, not Treyarch.
@ sorry for the late reply but even bo6 multiplayer has some problems, my 13700k cant even get 200 fps in most scenarios even though it was getting 270fps in cpu bound scenarios in mw3
I remember when overwatch 2 came to steam, I swapped over to it for like a month and a half because I just wanted to track the hours on game. I randomly went back to bnet launcher and was SHOCKED at how much smoother it felt. I don't keep my fps on since i get well over 400+ all the time so I can't say for sure if Steam lowered it or just had worse 1% lows but playing on a 360hz monitor I could just tell instantly how much better bnet felt
does this still happen?
Ill be sending a bunch of these videos to valve support when i request a refund. Edit: it seems like steam is offering refunds for the game if you link them videos about this issue since i just got mine. Please if you are having issues get a refund and hit activision in the wallet. This is the last cod game I buy after this.
but steam have only 7 days refund?
@@brettjlim it seems that theyre being more lax about that policy due to the issues in black ops 6 on steam
Ima try this
@@IsThattCappo it worked for me
@@brettjlim14 days. And they do make exceptions.
This is why I have bought every COD since BO4 on BattleNet
rather not buy cod at all if this is how they treat paying customers
@ I actually didn’t buy this one for once! And Im sticking to that, but im just going off of the free trial right now. I played the Beta and now the free trial. If it hits like $30 I might buy it but I’ll never get that deal lol
@@-BUGZ- this is the best cod since bo4, missing out
Looking forward to the 4080 super test on warzone 😊
what about the game pass version
is that only on warzone or black ops 6 multiplayer as well?
no there is a new nuketown themed one for resurgence
120 FOV actually provides more frames it dynamically lowers the texture quality in game of the farther away things and provides a FPS boost
it could be a thing my game feels a bit better with fov 120
It's not textures, textures mostly have an impact on VRAM usage. It's level of detail, aka LOD that's the problem. Higher FOV results in lower polygon count in stuff far away resulting in better FPS.
hahaah wtf. This is the pinnacle of lazy development. Games becoming dogshit unoptimized is one thing but losing over half of the performance using different game marketplace is beyond ridiculous. Also have you guys noticed that graphics havent improved much since 2017 or have become even worse but the games require like 2-4x more compute power?
Crazy i went with your exact settings on my 7900xt and it gives me 160-185 FPS at 4k. I am really impressed since it was 590€ and isnt too far behind the 4090 if you think it is 300% the price
Steam need to explain that
This isn't steam fault, activision are the scum here
steam only distributes the game, they have no influence on the game
@@Gustaviustwinkelberryyeah activision….
@@Gustaviustwinkelberrythey definitely deserve to get bankrupted
didnt steam introduce a replay or record function or something like that? which its off by default. The overlay and recording function is the only thing I would imagine causing such performance issues but then again Activision are some greedy weirdos that would do something like this.
I always knew shit like this will happen with games that have seperate launchers on steam, they want you on their shit launcher so they don't pay steam that 30% cut😂
your reply makes the most sense
genuinely what’s wrong with the battle net launcher. i have 0 issues using it
Its literally bugged but whatever
@@Johnny91832 Likely story 🤓
What kind of future are we in. Now not only do we have to worry if its a PC ports, now we got platform launcher ports to worry about!?
The 1% lows are higher on Battlenet than the average performance on Steam. Maybe even higher than the highest peak I saw on steam? That is crazy
I cant believe this my friend went and bought a cpu thinking his pc is the problem it is so cheesy that their doing that
they prob do it on purpose so you go buy a new cpu or gpu, and they get kickbacks
@@NvyZero no but because they have to pay steam a certain % of their sales on the game so they just make the game better on their own launchers so they can make more money
“Cheese”
and i was playing on steam this whole time stuck at 50fps in ressurgence...
Terrible performance like always from CrashZone
Terrible on steam!*
day 11 trying to reach 100k subs just by responding to random comments 💀
its only on steam on batllenet ol normal
Can you please test it on other GPU's as well mate maybe it's different or it's the same on all of them??
its only the big map, if u try the small one on steam it is fine... idfk how they messed it up so bad
yeah when i played MP its fine..i think it only affects in big map like plunder or warzone i guess
ryzen 7 5700x 4070 here 110 fps max on small map on low settings on xbox app
I actually thought I was going crazy bc I knew my rig should be doing more frames, swapped to battlenet today and the performance increase is crazy. it’s scummy but I’m glad to see my frames where they should be.
The intentional low performance is amazing
I"ve noticed the same thing with PUBG. Running it in steam with 140-50 fps, then running it in EPIC launcher with 180-90 fps.
will bo6 on the xbox app (pc) will run fine or should i go with another platform ?
Apparently gpu acceleration is off by default on steam? Which may be why only 50% use. Will look into this tomorrow n check my game.
the reason for high cpu usage is because fsr frame gen is on by default on the game to turn it off you have to edit the config file in mw3 when having it enabled it had both gpu and cpu maxed out instead of gpu mainly being maxed or if on a weaker gpu cpu being maxed out reason for steams performance could be steam pulling recourses or that call of duty is not optimized well on it
Steam overhead may include the clip/capture recording it does. I think it’s enabled by default. Check if it’s on in the Steam options.
Good though but it is not that. It was off completely and I still saw an 60+ fps gain on Battlenet over steam. Overlay off and voice chat off too. Strange enough, they use the same config file when launched too.
I can't belive that this can't be that huge
For science, please do this comparision with the fastest AMD card you own.
Next try in the xbox and see i feel it's also better there
best honest hUMAN!!! blessing
Any info when the fix this ?
8:10 yes, you're right, I bought the full version of the game on Steam
Good video bro, missed the microsoft store or xbox gamepass version on pc.
The big point is, you need to use the same config file for each one. I bet that where come from the fps difference on this test.
I've installed it from Xbox and Battlenet, disabling voice chat and it still only consumes 60% of the GPU... I got a 4080 Super and it works very badly, should I install it on Steam? I don't know what to do at :(
How is it performing „native“ with the xbox app?
I have a problem with Vsync.. On the Steam platform Vsync seems to not work and there is a lot of chopping of frames. In Battlenet with identical settings the image is smooth as butter
what a bizarre bug, seems like steam is limiting gpu/cpu utilization? can't even begin to imagine what would cause this bug based on platform
I noticed a 100W less gpu power consumption though, so maybe steam puts a limitation on power drawn, which explains the performance difference
