up + 2 is considered better because of plinking, game will read separate inputs faster than repeats, and since 2 does nothing, it gives you faster get up inputs back to back. I dont know if that made sense or if it still applies in tekken 7 but thats how I understand it to have always worked
I know it's late but my understanding is that bcs of 2 doing nothing and you keep pushing U, the game buffers the U which in this case repeats it instead of just holding the input like buffer WR.
Yeah simple way of saying it is It inputs another up every time you hit 2 in this case. Instead of just holding it which we dunno if that inputs it first possible frame
Genreguru not talking about characters, a tutorial with all mechanics. You play any arc sys fighter and they beg you to play tutorial and tutorial has everything you need to know, everything. Every single mechanic. Once you know all the mechanics and you know your characters movelist you can easily put the pieces together and be a better player.
The up plus right punch thing is interesting, while Leo is laying face up her right hand assists her rise. I'm curious if it's the same for other characters, because if so, that small detail is quite amazing imo. Or better yet if right punch even adds that detail.
Oh I think I understand. Holding up and pressing the button is the same as if you were to mash up. However because you can mash a button faster than you can mash up, its just essentially quicker?
Temblor moves are moves that shake the screen and allow a "free" ground hit, and they've been in the game since Tag 1. AK's DU would do this guaranteed if the opponent was falling face down feet away, An Ali was guaranteed after, and if you did two Ali's if would actually up the damage even though the second didn't hit. So temblor hits aren't new. The giveaway is the screen shake, like hitting clean with paul's QCF stuff.
The majority of moves that previously caused bound (B!) now spike an airborne opponent onto their headtop. I've been saying B!. It's different in 7, but it's caused from most old B! moves/strings - simple keyword usage. It's also godlike for a wall ender. Lookin' at you -Bruce- Josie.
I think they changed Katarina's d+3+4 and Leo's u+3+4 because I like to watch FR gameplays and if they use those moves it's guaranteed (same with Kazumi's fly 3) but now it only works at a certain angle when in the wall 😅🤔 also for Lili players u can use her f+3+4 at the wall and a guaranteed df+4, 3 can be followed up 😀
Hella old reply. You are correct. Spamming 2 when on the ground in conjunction with u for stand or b for backroll or f for front roll, is Tekken 2 strats. In previous games like Tekken 2 it did make the character respond faster. When on the floor in Tekken 2 your character was in a coma if you didn't spam 2. It even had this 2 spamming tech in the manual for Tekken 2 lol.
Does anyone remember watching gameplay vids before the game was released and there being matches where the noise it makes when you block an attack sounded different?
Experiment900 sounds like you're talking about the taiko drum customizations. They were Japan only for a while but now they're on the store as free dlc
I think Yoshimitsu has something like this. If I catch the enemy with a CH ff+3 (by some miracle), I can go into KIN stance and do 1+2 for pretty big damage. However, that 1+2 seems to do that weird spike thing, which lets him do backturn d+1 to tack on 20 damage before the enemy can react. As far as I know, that last hit is unavoidable with any of the grounded options but doesn't have the late combo damage reduction. I think it all clocks in at 86 damage because of that last hit seeming to be inevitable.
Detective Colonel It doesn't have to do with the video or ff3 at all, it's just KIN1+2 spiking the opponent on hit (no techtoll) and not letting him get up in time to avoid or block the BTd1.
dude didnt you watch the video he just explained it seconds later after showcasing it that it maybe isn't faster and that its unecessary but it works for him
Look at the inputs when he presses up+2 on the floor. It basically makes the up input appear far faster than what you can do by inputting only up by hand (thus making it much more likely you'll get up on the first possible frame). This is using the button buffering trick that Aris talks about in another video.
I actually have seen a loading tip stating to tap back (not hold) to do a quick back roll when on the ground. Testing in training mode shows it doesn't work. Maybe a legacy tip they forgot to remove?
Tekken hasn't updated some animations lol. They worked well in the earlier lower-polygon games, but here they look very unnatural. Some older characters still have moves that look like they haven't changed since Tekken 1/2 lol
OMG I just realized... I probably have about 3,000 matches online and I think I've fought Shaheen once!!! Very unpopular character choice... Harada....
Shadow Rise I've always hated the way he stands with his neck leaning forward. Think another reason people don't play him is because there's nothing special about him, just another plain fighter.

That's crazy that it would be faster than just beffering by holding up
Another reason why this game should have a tutorial mode
EXACTLY!!! idk wtf happened, but my videos are suffering because of it. till avoiding the puddle is my superhero

Lel. Tekken characters mostly plays the same. Are you stupid?
Huh? No they don't. I can't perform a King combo while playing Jin, what are you on about?
you're the stupid one
"just for laying on the ground...*burp*"
Kazumi's fly 3 also gives a guaranteed d2 if it hits grounded. But they can roll away if fly 3 hits them face down.
FUCKING CHEAP!!!!!
Big Mike TV lmaooo like Katarina's d+3+4 and Leo's u+3+4 but it got nerfed on consoles/pc 😅
"A placebo suppository"
I don't think he knew what he was saying
I was drinking a rockstar, now i'm wiping rockstar off my monitor
@@TheChilaxicle The funny thing is I think he knew exactly what he was saying haha
Pressing right punch + up plinks it. It adds another frame of "up" so it's like if you just frame double tapped it.
Vulcan Hades I don't think it makes any sense outside links. If you just hold up the game will already register the input on the first frame possible.
IlGrinch87 this is probably right. It fakes an input and can bait somebody into using an unsafe move when you wake up.
Offline tech nice
Thanks for your precious tips . Normally nobody gives a shit to teach people stuffs like you effort . Aris , you're the man .
Nopant you are a legend I was searching for someone to explain that , and who is better than aris for that ? Thanks
U+2 worked in tekken 3

THIS THUMBNAIL!!!!!
What about noctis ground staff to times in a row how do you block the second one

ranzudezu that lili wall combo is not guaranteed they can tech roll out of that and it whiffs
No, u+2 being faster is just placebo. For T7, just pressing up gives the exact same frame time to get up like u+2.
Only reason to do it, or at least what I can think of, is that you get multiple up inputs faster.
Hella old reply.
You are correct.

the new block sound has more base in it.
Big Mike TV no like it was completely different like if it was a customizable thing
Experiment900 sounds like you're talking about the taiko drum customizations. They were Japan only for a while but now they're on the store as free dlc
Jackie thanks!
I died at "aris plz check out my channel *bearded laughter*"

So are spikes like the KIN1+2 common, and the Leo one is unique? I haven't looked closely, but I thought they had the same effect on the target.
Im not sure if it counts as a spike but youshimitsus uf 1 on counter hit garrentees a u1 after.
that nina will stop all that
Up, or up+2 is the same isn't it? Is there any difference..
jinUAE not to me
dude didnt you watch the video he just explained it seconds later after showcasing it that it maybe isn't faster and that its unecessary but it works for him
It might just be an in-person strat where the other guy hears you pressing buttons and thinks you are doing a wakeup attack?
Look at the inputs when he presses up+2 on the floor.
It basically makes the up input appear far faster than what you can do by inputting only up by hand (thus making it much more likely you'll get up on the first possible frame).

You get up just by holding up so there's probably no timing involved where any kind of buffering would help.
Nina has one with her crouch dash 2 in the corner, Kazuya has one with that Oki kick
I actually have seen a loading tip stating to tap back (not hold) to do a quick back roll when on the ground. Testing in training mode shows it doesn't work. Maybe a legacy tip they forgot to remove?
"placebo suppository" lmao
Violet Systems and Infinite Azure are such great training stages. SourPls SourPls SourPls SourPls
good to know, thanks for the lesson
Does Yoshi's flea hop work?
you can do d/f3 after ch4 with leo
"Placebo, suppository" LOL
Pepperbeef2spicy used this to body Lil Majin not too long ago, He had no clue how to deal with it.
DK has 4 spikes
*d e s t r u c t i o n*
DonkeyKong?
Dair, down special, fair...what’s the last one?
side special
You need to counter pick with mario.
Pretty sure I said it before, but just in case.
Aris Da Gawd.
Does ling have anything like this?
good stuff
Isn't this why they 'patched' Nina [v. Kuma/Panda]?
Pretty sure Kuma has this with the low after jump attack
Law got one too, he has a delayable 3-piece combo that tracks a tech roll & gets a full combo off of a wakeup that puts you backwards so it guaranteed
what are the strings for this?
Rip the homie S1 Obital
I think Akuma's demon flip 4 might be a spike.
Matt its too slow & sidestepable
True. I usually only use it in combos.
Placebo suppository? What?
Does nina has one?
Dikkebal have*
prize rec2 had*
Dikkebal i know nina has one if they try to wakeup on a crouch kick, she jumps over low hits with her U/f 1
Rommaler was asking about spikes? Good for him, he clearly wasn't having much fun in SFV.
Damn Cheeseball tactic, but it works.
Nina will fix it
I love how I cant understand most of the stuff you guys say...I just know basic combos
Denver January Google Tekken Zaibatsu legend
Me before this video : " I'm starting to get q grip on tekken even though I'm new"
Me after this video : " DAMN YOU HARADA AND YOUR TEAM !"
Yehaa !! Leooo!!!!
Lili has it
Which move?
xLionxXJonah777 her d/f 3+4 flip that beats out low hits
Shame this doesn’t work anymore
Leo's a boy...
story mode confirms
No, harada confirmed Leo is a girl
Officially, Leo is ambiguous. They even had a bikini in a previous game that came with tits.
Watching Leo breathing like that on the ground is triggering me. Reported.
Tekken hasn't updated some animations lol. They worked well in the earlier lower-polygon games, but here they look very unnatural. Some older characters still have moves that look like they haven't changed since Tekken 1/2 lol
Reydriel Like that classic Mishima spin animation amirite?
Reasons why I’m a leo player 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Leo is a girl?
Leo's low and ground game is stupid. Email Harada!
OMG I just realized... I probably have about 3,000 matches online and I think I've fought Shaheen once!!! Very unpopular character choice... Harada....
you know what else...Theres no devil within/street brawler tekken mode
Crunk Playa69 his fighting style doesn't really seem cool neither does his voice but he has good costume design his story definitely doesn't help him
Shadow Rise I've always hated the way he stands with his neck leaning forward. Think another reason people don't play him is because there's nothing special about him, just another plain fighter.
Maybe because Shaheen doesn't really have many gimmicks/flashiness. His design was pretty well received, however, he looks cool af
I'v encoutnered a LOT of Shaheens. And he can be a fucking bully with magic 4. Also his WS 2 is scary.
You know what they say about Leo players...
lay off the hash
damn....lay off my yt channel.
And you should lay off hash also, because this is not YOUR yt channel.
god bless you. or somebody. you need a healing?
