I was using X-Enviro ever since it got released, but for the last few months I've been enjoying the stock weather a lot more because it feels more polished with the default clouds looking way better. I might give cloud variety pack a try.

Q8Pilot - Great channel! Just discovered it recently while playing with the X-Plane 11 demo and getting ready to bite the bullet on the full install. I've been away from flightsimming for the past few years and am amazed at the recent advances. As a former pilot and aircraft owner I'm very impressed with the realistic look of the scenery. With your tweaks it really looks awesome. BTW, just subscribed. Keep 'em coming buddy. ;^)

Thanks so much for these suggestions! Normally I wouldn't really add anything to XPlane other than scenery or aircraft but after seeing your results I tried the forests and the lighting tweaks, they have both completely transformed X Plane on to another level. If you then add in the V2 of the latest Europe X scenery, it is another world compared to the standard X Plane. I am using a GTX 1060 with 6GB VRAM and 32GB of DDR4 x 3200MHz. and it runs this very nicely. Thanks again for the tips and the videos.
I believe your lighting mod is the HDR Lighting Upgrade 2.0.0 found in .org. I noticed for Unique Clouds Variety Pack v1.5 he talks about using JSGME. I looked this up and it is Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME). It is used when you want to swap out files that come with X-Plane like clouds and textures. It is not only used for X-Plane but other games I assume. I don't see this talked about much in the X-Plane forums

Awesome content as usual. Do you have a recommendation for turbulence in XP11? The default behavior is horrible and this is my only gripe with XP11. Does Xenviro provide better visual depiction? Thank for all that you do for the FS community and congratulations on reaching the 20K milestone.
The turbulence is there with default, SMP, and xEnviro. The actual headshake inside the aircraft will depend on the aircraft it self. You can get XPRealistic or Headshake by simcoders to see the headshake movement during turbulence.
Question: How do you get your anti aliasing done so well? Even if I leave it on maximum, it doesn't look as good. I assume it is because you are running at 2k, but still any secrets?
No other secrets my friend. Max AA and 2K monitor and you are good =)

FS global weather as you mentioned it while you were talking about the unique clouds is probably payware plugin right? So there is no other freeware option how to get better data for clouds layer and winds - so I have to use default XP11 weather engine?
FS Global Weather is payware correct. You could try NOAA weather, it is free but requires Python runtime to be installed.

I love the video but is it for VR? or PC? I'm new to all of this and I can't tell the difference, I just stopped playing Pack-man the last week.
Do you recommend using texture quality to maximum (no compression). Have gtx 1060 3gb, and currently using only maximum with compression.

Do you use ReShade? I think that with sky colors and clouds changes is not necessary to use Reshade. It's too difficult to turn off the simulator.

Hello Osamah. Nice vid. My biggest struggle with XP11 is trying to make up my mind between Xenviro, and SMP. One minute Xenviro looks better, and the next minute SMP looks the best. My intuition says that SMP is 3d, so it will end up being better in the long run, just like a 64bit XP has been against a 32bit FSX. But the Xenviro weather seems to be better. But to be honest, the Xenviro too often to me, looks like a bunch of cotton balls. So that is my biggest dilemma at the moment, and thus I haven't bought either one. But I use all of these addons as well, and agree that they make a big difference.
SMP for VFR, xEnviro for IFR plain and simple =)
Ooooooooooooookay. Sounds good. Lol! I laugh because I fly probably half and half. I love the scenery of vfr flying, so that still puts a little bit of a wrench in the engine. But it does give me something to think about. Interesting enough, I did find a freeware addon on the .org site called "Puffy Clouds 1.0". I would highly recommend you turn Xenviro off for a flight, and add this Lua Script. These clouds are much more realistic looking than most of what I have seen, and even more so once you get above them, as you can see through some areas, and not others. I think you will be very impressed with what this guy has done. It's definitely worth a look at the very least. Happy Flying!
Yeah, that's kinda been my mindset for a while. But not having an eta kinda sucks! Could be years. Anyway, you're right. Default weather is much better now, than ever before.
Anyone notice any frame rate difference between SMP/xEnviro/Unique/default?

Can you make a video about X-Plane version 11.10? Some old plugins seem to have stop worked. Even my reshader plugin gets stuck.
do the clouds and sky colors go in custom scenery?
Maybe I've just been lucky, but I haven't had any problems with xEnviro's winds aloft; they're usually pretty close to what is forecasted during my PFPX planning.
Not at any altitude above FL300.

dear capt, concerning the light tweak, i couldn't replace it, instead it was like this lights (copy) and nothing has changed....when i deleted the already existing text file all the lights was off even if i turn them on and also the airport lights,street....etc!

I just purchased an x plane 11 bundle and want to use vr with fly inside. I want to build a strong enough pc to get a smooth experience. Any advice? Would be very appreciated =.

well a good pc to run it smooth would have a 1080 ti graphics card and a coffielake i7 (newer cpu'S) a gigabyte top end motherboard a good set off ram and good hard drives so your game doesnt jump around ,also overclock the cpu and watercool it with coolermaster if you cant afford a $200 water cooler and a high watt power supply and the case is up to you but check it will fit in what you are getting hope this helps and good luck mate

So, to get an aircraft off of Xplane.org do you have to unzip the file and all that or does it just go right to your steam xplane 11 game once you get it?

CB Emerge so what do you do after that? Do you just open the game and it's there or do you have to do something else?
Ok. SO download aircraft. Then find your main X-Plane 11 folder: /Program Files x86/Steam/steamapps/common/X-Plane 11/Aircraft/Laminar Research
Thats it! Then load up xplane and it should be there.
