Every time I hear JDB interviewed, I think he’s the most thoughtful, sincere and clear-headed and warm-hearted rock musician I’ve ever heard. Maybe that’s because I’m a Welsh musician, but whatever...he’s great and a shining example to us all.
In 1992 The band attended the IRMAS(irish music awards) Richey poured several bottles of free wine into the ice bucket on the table of their label, Sony, added salt and pepper and watched as the bucket overflowed and the table was removed altogether. The Sony representative declared the band were "scum" and "should be thrown out of here!".

It's so true that there is no closure on grief. Grief is for life but you eventually find ways to keep going.
I hope so. Thanks.
@@secallen it does get better, I promise, and you never forget your loved one.
Dave Fanning is a true musical historian and a great interviewer. His dept of knowledge is vast.
Great interview. Thanks for sharing.
James is one clever man! And fair play to Fanning, at least he asks a few decent questions.
A decent interviewer for once!
Thank fuck for an interviewer who clearly knows something about music.
