Rachel, all of your videos are such a gift. I can not thank you enough for helping to make such important philosophy more understandable.
Sarah, what a lovely message to receive this morning!! Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm so happy to hear that they are useful!
Omg. I feel like I need more of the philosophies behind yoga practices.
😄
Thanks so much for taking the time to study and relate this information in such a fantastic and clear manner! I love the fact that Patanjali states these teachings over and over in various sutras.
Great to have you here Scott!! :)
Thanks again Rachel, for doing what you do! These videos are great!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you 🙏🏼

Thank you Rachel. You're the best break down -er. These sutras are not easy to digest at all but you make it so clear with life-related examples. You're the bestttt. Please keep doing it!
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻nice to be on this journey with you!
5 obstacles:
1. Ignorance
2. Ego , identify with I am stuff
3. Attachment
4. Aversion
5. Fear of death
Thank you so much Rachel, I have been so looking forward to this new instalment and it was fantastic! Can't wait for the next one..... but I'm not going to be that attached to it 😂😂
😂😂😂
I love your enthusiastic and fun delivery methods on such a subtleised ,layered and beautiful text. Fun and lightness we’re missing ingredients to my approach to studying and practicing Patanjali ‘s Sutras. Mucho Gracias! 😊❤
Yay! I appreciate your kind words :) Nice to have you here, Paul!
Thank you Rachel
My pleasure 💗💗💯
Gunas are well explained in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 14
Great share Jelena, thanks!
These remind me of Buddhist philosophy too .
Hi Stella - absolutely. Same origins!
I see; Satchidanada made a good point about action, where Vivekanada stays on the point of Kleshas-> concentration and Samadhi. You just described the first chapters of the Bhagavad Gita where action needs to be done with out exception of outcome, then not to be attached to the outcome (Arjuna needs to fight a war). Pravrajika Divyanandaprana explains in easy to understand language on her channel. Nice lecture.
Thanks Paul!
Hi Rachel, thank you so much for these videos! I was wondering if you're able to share which book this is? Thank you!
I’ll take a look- I’m using a compilation. But the translations that I quote the most are from Sri Swami Satchidananda - great translations!

Love your videos. But some of the Sanskrit words are pronounced wrong.
Yes, I sure do not claim to be a Sanskrit scholar. If you hear anything you think is important, please feel free to post a link to the correct pronunciation. I’m sure people would enjoy that!
