Excellent painting and really clear tutorial. I don't think I've ever seen a painting tutorial that was this well explained. Really appreciate the effort that went into this.
Thx :) English is not my native language. I had to find a way to explain without talking. Maybe later I will work on the pronunciation and try to record a voice in addition.
This looks fantastic and I really want to try it myself; but I have a problem. My army's basing scheme is grey (astrogranite) and I want there to be strong colour contrast between the cloak and the fake ground - what should I replace the black/MechGrey/Dawnstone with to achieve that?
Out of curiosity, and this might be from pure ignorance, but is there an advantage to wearing gloves over putting it on a subframe stand or is it purely preference?
Gloves have several uses. Practical. Exposed skin leaves marks. Sebum can damage to the paint through the work time. For me stand is not always perfect solution. Aesthetic. Hides blemishes on the skin. Cuts, untidy nails are not a pleasant sight :) Dark and mat, returns less light to the camera - good for exposition.
Sometimes I cover model partially with a silly putty. Sometimes I wash off with isopropyl before gluing. Or scrap with a knife. The plastic glue will dissolve the remaining primer.
Perfect video. The computer images with the paint lines were incredibly helpful!

@@TinyLegend I think it's great that it worked so well without words - that means it is accessible for anyone :)
Wow that's awesome. Thanks so much for sharing this and for showing every step.... I'm now looking at my Tau and thinking "who's first"
Triangle highlighting is my favorite part. so well done!
Yup, thats the best camo cloak I've ever seen. Also one of the best tutorials too.
Was literally just about to try and figure this out for myself, but this is perfect! Dope work!

wow, amazing tutorial! Just subscribed, amazing job duder! Going to watch all your other stuff now while the kids sleep lol.
nbd, just gonna free-hand some perfectly straight lines. very impressive!
It is easier to draw a straight line with a brush than with a pencil. We will try to make a video about brush control in the foreseeable future.
Superb!

Great! Thank you! It's nice to be useful.
Above all, I would recommend staying a little skeptical and following your own path :)
This is so cool looking, I may need to get some for both my sisters and my kreigers (once I get the money and time to collect and paint them)

Vallejo 73.108 Brown Iron Oxide is this the pigment that you jused
Yep, pigment mixed on water. This part depend on your base design. I use pigment, cuz it recreate dusty surface.

What do you do to prime everywhere but where u intend to glue it later?
Sometimes I cover model partially with a silly putty. Sometimes I wash off with isopropyl before gluing. Or scrap with a knife. The plastic glue will dissolve the remaining primer.
@@TinyLegend thank you! You are incredible. As a fan and trying to paint a lamenter army myself you leave me in awe
What program are you using to map out your plan?
Photoshop and illustrator.
