Daihatsu Rocky engine restoration

Restoration of my 1988 Daihatsu Rocky diesel engine. The car was completely rusted out, but the engine and transmission worked great so I decided to pull them out and restore them. It might be a part 2 on this.

Painting the engine doesnt count as a restoration.. Everything inside is probably itching for some treatment other than what was done

I am surprised to see that the engine is a Diesel,,, I thought all the Rocky Daihatsu's in the USA were gasoline engines,,,, I have the 1.6 L engine in a 1990. No power steering , but its fixed for AC.

I´m from Sweden and here the diesel engines are quite common. This is a 2.8 liters from an 88 with power steering, but without AC
