  • This video will highlight the process of removing the rear fender on the 2017 and up Suzuki GSXR - 1000 and adding auxiliary turn signals without the high cost of a fender eliminator that will come with dim turn signals.
The Morimoto ModPods are an effective and easy way to update your lighting on your bike and since the bodies are anodized aluminum, they are basically bombproof. For this install we went with the dual intensity to ensure that our turn signals can be adequately seen once the amber lens was added. We decided not to utilize the mounting clips and instead utilized double sided sticky tape (not velcro) because we wanted them to be as sleek and streamlined with the bike as possible, however if you check the link below, there are quite a few different clip configurations that can be utilized for whatever your creativity allows.
One thing to note is that once the rear fender is removed, there will be some holes left under the fairing which can prove to be problematic if your bike is ridden in the rain on a consistent basis. For this bike, it'll never see rain, therefore it won't be an issue and this video simply presents an alternative to the fender eliminators on the market with dim turn signal issues.

Congrats on the new bike. Believe it or not it’s Velcro that holds it on. The bike was never ridden in rain and that plate never came off. In fact when the bike was sold it took some finagling to remove the plate. Hope that helps.

@@hidexpresslighting5965 Thank you so much brother! God bless you.
I had asked the same question to another TH-camr (Rider), haven't received any answers in couple of weeks and I had already made my mind that if I don't get a response from you as well, I'll go ahead with Velcro... lol...
      Thanks again brother! 🥰🙏
