i have had the pleasure of seeing metallica do this song live multiple times and they do a pretty good job of covering it.

The ladies did their first cover in the Cave. The story is that it was done 4 days after hearing the song. There is also a mashup video of this song on The Warning Russia channel. It is a good highlight of just how good a cover they did.

After a near-two-hour set it seems like this song revitalized Dany and Pau. They look ready to play a few more songs. Poor Ale is exhausted. And Dany plays that solo with a lot of feeling.

I got to meet with the girls after the show and it's a great story,but too long to tell here.
I did ask them how they got through 7 minutes of Atlas Rise after their nonstop 2 hour show,as you can see Ale was about to drop over. Dany said as soon as they got up to the dressing room that all 3 of them collapsed on the sofa.
This was the first time I saw them live and it will always be my favorite concert because it was invitation only & there were only a little over 100 of us invited, it was a very special night!
I flew from Ohio to LA twice to see 3 of the 4 Whisky shows it was worth every cent.
I've been following TW since November of 2013 and it's been the greatest musical journey ever,the girls have shared so much with us that we truly do feel like family!

In 2016 or 17 the girls said no more covers only originals from here on out. They only did enter sandman because Metallica asked. They played the whisky for 2 shows. On the first night they did 21 or 22 songs. The 2nd night they added Atlas rise as their encore because it was the club owners birthday and it was one of his favs. They had not played it in 3 years. The show wore them out Ale had to be helped from the stage.
That's some crazy commitment!

Nice reaction, as always. It saddens me that Ale is often forgotten. While totally exhausted, she had to cover Trujillo´s part (who is a beast), and also play the part of a second guitar when needed!!!
The girls played this giving away a guitar, 300 pounds of muscle, and decades of experience. Quite a feat, I would say.

Thanks! A great performance of a song that was never in TW's regular repertoire. Dany's guitar tone (IMHO) has never been better than when she played that black Manson. Pretty sure she auctioned it in the last year or two, I don't recall seeing her play it again in a live show after this performance in 2019. What a sound!

Thanks for getting this reaction out. I've watched this many times. So great. Dany's bends in her solos are always great. On The Warning originals, Dany's approach to solos are typically melodic and/or singable and the bends are often the creme de la creme.

Singing and drumming this type of song is extremely difficult , yes , and Pau specialises in this kind of discipline and a true natural , even though she must have spent many , many hours perfecting this .

II know it's a cover, and I much prefer The Warning's original material, but...
I'm 54 years old, and have always been a rocker. I can tell you, unequivocally, the moment this song started was, and still is, the pinnacle experience of my musical life. The Warning had already stopped playing covers live for quite some time, so nobody in the room expected what was coming. However, Dany had said, a few times, in the weeks leading up to this private show, they had a surprise for us. We had many discussions about what that would be. Nobody guessed this.
As some have mentioned, the ladies had already played for about two hours, and nearly every song in their catalog, so, what were they going to do?
For me, it felt like time stood still; like somebody had just tossed a flash grenade onto the stage. My jaw hit the floor. I stopped breathing., and quickly looked about the room to see 150'ish wide-eyed people in the same state. Funny thing is I've never been able to even listen to all of "Atlas Rise" by Metallica. I've tried, but I get bored and press skip.
I could, and have, listen to this version all day long.
As a tribute and a thank you to the organizer of the show, they rolled out this gem. My profile/channel pic is me with The Warning, from that night; one of the best of my life.

@@tpndgo2061 The Warning had the entire thing pro-shot, but, apparently, there were some glitches (whatever that means) and they were unable to produce the whole thing. They have released many of the songs from that night though. I don't think anybody actually filmed the whole concert. I might be wrong on that. If someone knows different, I'd sure like to relive that show.
