Man I love this song but I can’t help but love the tragedy and horror mappa does with footsteps of doom, this song feels all too heroic, even if the lyrics may be tragic

Well when you have no other choice i believe that scene is heroic. Eren Really didnt do nothing wrong in this situation. The only people who think hes done wrong is only because the number of deaths is going to be higher than if paradis was wiped out. Which i find ridiculous. He tried to find every reason to not destroy them but it was no use. Its why he initiated the rumbling.
he did it for his friends and family. Its like if you were forced to kill your family vs just killing a million people. Well for alot of people it would pick the family option and even if that million people were to die and that included them, they would be happy with the fact that they saved my family, Its just instinct.
And why are we even rooting for the resistance in this case (Armin, mikasa, and the Marleyans soldiers). we are basically rooting for the wipe out of paradis now? its either bad writing or something. Because if somehow Eren was supposed to be viewed as a enemy they have failed.
And also, I dont want anyone telling me that "they started the conflict first", that would be like saying the usa should declare war on the United Kingdom just because the usa was a subject from them at one point. Or north and south korea should declare war on Japan because the japanese used to own them at one point. Its stupid. And If declaring war on paradis were justified then those examples like the usa vs UK and the koreans vs Japanese conflicts probably would of happened by now but it hasnt. Not only because its such a stupid claim to declare war on someone but just from the fact they owned you a couple of decades/centuries ago. Shouldnt mean you declaring on them in the far future. The only reason they declared war was materials and Eren Yeagers founding so they can destroy all the other countries and take over the world without the presence of the rumbling. And even then Paradis perspective over the walls and over the sea are countries that are just borderline racists to them. They cant change, they refuse change. Its why the nazis promoted book burning so other people dont change and continue praising the leader and his ideals.
It seems like the creator of attack on titan wants to root for the attack on titan equvilent of the nazis now? I dont get what hes trying to do ive not read the manga bc I dont have time to read it. still waiting for the anime but seriously. I cant stand people who think Eren is in the wrong.

They literally showed Eren and Zeke desperately begging Ymir to do two different things. The fact that the Rumbling is the one that came to pass means Ymir fucking CHOSE to kill 80% of human. Yes Eren asked her to do it, but Ymir had the final say.
And it's clear that she has had enough of humanity's bullshit. Even if this mass murder will never be a permanent solution, it can serve as a decently long lasting lesson. Plus it must've been cathartic as hell for her.
