  • There are somethings you just shouldn't say to an autistic person. Shot in one take (as usual) in the wonderful City of Hull, 3 aspies (Alistair, Rachel, Carl) and with the aid of laptop and a TH-cam account tell (it like it so painfully) is. #ActuallyAutistic #Autism #TakeTheMaskOff

I would be interested to hear you talk about special interests; the subjects you all enjoy, and what you think the benefits of interests can be for autistics. I personally think our strong interests are one of the positive sides to autism, but something that often gets pathologised as ''fixated'' or ''overly circumscribed'' (more positive language might include calling them ''passions'' and ''life forces'').

Hi it's Alistair (middle aspie) it's really good to hear that people enjoy these videos.. We really look forward to making them.. My special interests are in films that are or once were banned.. I'll make sure that rachel and carl see your suggestions as these videos seem to be really reaching and relating to people.. Thanks again!!

      Hi, it’s Rachel here,
I for one would certainly be down for doing that kind of video. I meant to mention in this video during the “what’s your special skill” part that I think “special skills” are just special interests that we have just put a lot of time and effort into exploring and developing.
Thanks for the suggestion and so glad you enjoyed the video :)
