At 3:27 I said "...it does have Collins Lanyard..." but there is no such thing. I meant Stevensons Lanyard, must have been thinking about Collin Scott Thomson who has a great channel where he explains pretty much everything there is to know about rigging.
My rig has a Collins lanyard and a Stevens lanyard. The Stevens lanyard is another name for the RSL, and the Collins Lanyard (attached to the RSL) disconnects the non-RSL riser in the event the RSL-sided riser breaks.
I was between Vector, javelin and icon. I decided I really wanted mag riser covers so that narrowed it down. Then it came down to cosmetics. Would jump any of them, any day of the week
Honestly I love my Icon A and having those extras in my opinion. The main reason I made my decision to go with the Icon was for the Ballistic material for long lasting durability. I will agree that the price tag is a bit expensive compared to the competitors, and the extras along with the Icon can be extremely useful or not depending on your needs.
VSE Infinity? Rigging innovations Curv? We don't really hear much about the European gear on this side of the world. Really interesting to learn about the Paratec stuff (4 years in the sport and this is the first time I've heard of them)- who knew that Germans could engineer a good product? In terms of pure aesthetics (because let's be real- "performance"wise almost all modern rigs are pretty much identical) which one do you like best?
The only reason I didn't buy a curv was because it didn't have a collins lanyard which I thought was really important ( but I understand others actively avoid it ). It'll be interesting how the sunpath merge will change their system =)
I have Avalon and dude it is great. But you know Vector guys like trying to find some thing better on their harnesse just to explain the price but they can't 😂
hahaha I've been through 3 Avalons and loved them all so much! Especially customer service. I still own 2, one for back up and one I gave to my cousin as to not interfere with my sponsorship
@@Frickflyers Dude i actually meet the owners and they're great people, customer service is awesome. I love their DZ so much that I usually go there regularly. Btw love your videos especially the comedy ones i found my self in some categories :) Beside the comedy ones the educational are great to like the way you explain..
Javelin...easy to close resrve,but have you ever watched video of the reserve pilot huge launch in freefall? Almost always turns sideways.. Last thing you need when you need your reserve F*A*S*T( i.e. cypres activation)!
