its not meant to compete with the redmi note 3... 2gb ram version - it will be 3k cheaper if you want a smaller form factor pick the 3s, larger pick the note 3... simple :)
What really turn me down is Customer Service. MY bro already regrets buying Xiaomi device bcoz Xiaomi has pathetic customer service here in Delhi. It will take 1 and half Month to exchange the faulted Data cable. And they don't even give a spare one atleast for being such a long period.And there are tons of people at there center waiting for there returns..

Harsh Vardhan even the non prime version performs well with VR and you can imagine the prime ones oh and next time try ordering from lazada instead... it took me 2 days only to receive to phone 😊
zhee dhelan I only order from well known websites(amazon, flipkart and Snapdeal to be precise) as I don't trust these unknown ones. I got this from mi.com/in in 3 days as I payed already. Im glad I ordered 3GB RAM variant as MIUI 8 takes up 1.5GB itself and if I only had 500MB left then I can easily see myself in lags and stutter.

I feel like this is a very good smartphone for children. Inexpensive and gets the job done. Once they're old enough they could be trusted with older iPhones like a 5C or a 5S, the fact that MIUI looks kinda like iOS will help in the transition.

I have always been flipkart's loyal customer but my experience post Redmi 3S purchase had changed it all. Redmi3S was fantastic until it's battery drained full. The mobile didn't turn on post charging. It's goes on loading. Only MI logo is visible. I can't shut it off also. Since it keeps loading, mobile gets hotter. I am scared it will explode. Since mobile is not usable, I requested for replacement. Flipkart guys said their service engineer will have a look and based on his opinion replacement decision will be taken. This itself took 3 days. Then i had terrible experience with this dummy service engineer. I was told he will call and visit home instead he asked me to come to some place and when I went there, he had to come to my area. Again i had to return. Finally when i met this service engineer, he asked me what's the problem with mobile and then he called someone and explained same to him. I was shocked, this guy was dummy and came on behalf of someone else to whom he was explaining the issue. The guy on the phone asked me to take the mobile to service center! WTF!! If that was the case customer care itself should have told me to visit service centr. You wasted my 4 days! Made me stay at home on weekend. Made me to travel to different areas. I paid 9000 and now mobile is dead. And you play with me? Now, guys, you have to be very careful when buying electronics or mobile from flipkart. There is no guarantee of return or refund if you find any issue.
+Tech Tac but finger print sensor is handy and that new GPU . I feel it's worth the slight decrease in processing power for a great overall experience.

Mandeep Singh 2G ram is enough for the phone to run smoothly thus more space to run a heavy game such as MC 5, ShadowGun, Pokemon Go, Asphalt etc. fingerprint is already a bonus at that price point. Good luck! 😁😉
I am using redmi note 3 with 2GB Ram, and around 800mb is available with no apps are opened (apart from google launcher). Day to day performance is not affected by having 2GB ram.

Ash can you please advise slot 1 is a micro or a nano sd slot? i would use a single SIM and maybe a jio sim so understand normally it is wise to insert your data use sim in slot 1, so accordingly I'll go for either micro or Nano sim as per your advise
