To our Canadian friends, apologies that we said Melting pot and meant Mosiac. We have always been proud that Canada is a Mosaic of Cultures rather than being a melting pot. We even used a mosaic-type graphic and then continued to say melting pot. I didn't catch it during editing, and I deeply regret that. We have always thought of Canada as a mosaic since public school and completely miss spoke. I also apologize to the Bloc Québécois and Green Party; we should have included all parties. Our deepest apologies.
@@nickynuke6390 I know right? I don't know why we kept saying melting pot. We totally meant mosaic, my graphic was even a mosaic of puzzle pieces. I wish I could loop a voiceover.:D
Don't worry. In Canada, dissolving in the melting pot is optional. Those who want to preserve their identity and cling to their traditional way of living can do so.
Whoa... I was just about to tell you that we are a Cultural Mosaic. In fact .Democrat House of Representative Leader Hakeemm Jeffries even referred to the USA as a Mosaic in a speech about a year ago. I was shocked!! Good sign....
We Aussies down under consider Canada and NZ as our close cousins and support them through thick and thin. We share similar cultures, values, system of government and embrace diversity. The Governor General of Australia who a non-political appointee. We are a member of a family of nations called the Commonwealth. Aussies love Canada and Canadians.
I am certain that most Canadians would agree that we've got a great relationship with Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately within Canada, we have a lot of problems, mostly stemming from a system of government that doesn't work well for the people without significant political power. All of our Senate is appointed by the PM, so no chance for regional representation either. Same goes for our Supreme Court. Equalization rips off western Canadians and allocates those dollars to the politically powerful and their supporters. It's sad, unjust, and immoral; but it's what we live with every day. President Elect Trump offers a ray of hope for us who wish to see our system of government be changed out for something that actually represents the people and not the crown.
@@normanwiebe762 President Elect Trump would be a disaster for Canada and Canadians. He would privatize our healthcare system, import dangerous guns on to Canadian streets, and set back reproductive rights and indigenous rights. Being a proud Canadian is about so much more than where we’re from-it’s about who we are. It’s standing in awe of our mountains, lakes, and forests, knowing we’re stewards of this beautiful land. It’s finding strength in our differences, welcoming people from all walks of life with open arms, and living with respect, humility, and kindness. It’s saying ‘sorry’ with sincerity, cheering together under the Northern Lights, and coming together when it matters most. Canada isn’t just a place-it’s a spirit of unity, resilience, and love. True North, strong and free, always.🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

@Nathangoss007 Being a proud Canadian is about so much more than where we’re from"? Really? Are you on dope? Multiculturalism, which you're clearly fond of, is quite the opposite-it’s about dividing us by where we’re from, not uniting us. Maybe you should pick up Neil Bissoondath's book "Selling Illusions: The Cult of Multiculturalism in Canada" and give it a read. It might help you understand how this 'pride' you’re talking about isn't about unity, but about fueling division. Just a thought!

We were there in Korea as well. We are your best friends, remember 1979 in Iran. We hid some of your embassy staff. During 911 we housed many of your citizens in Newfoundland who were stuck when American airspace was closed. We are your best friends period. We don't insult our friends. We support them. 🇨🇦 61 year old proud Canadian man here. I have never been happier to be Canadian. Canada is everything that the USA says it is but isn't. We are much more free, to marry who we want, to get an abortion, to smoke or eat Cannabis, to take at least two weeks of paid vacation. Canada is built upon British laws, which means that you don't sue someone for the hell of it, like they do in The States, because here, if you lose, you have to pay your lawyer and that of your opponent. So, no frivolous lawsuits. Our Universal Heath Care is a very fair, worthwhile endevour, I've had numerous broken bones, two hernias and two children born in hospital with zero bills. Every single Canadian gets it regardless of how much or little you make, with no crap around pre-existing conditions and other crooked schemes built into the American for-profit system. Becoming the 51st State of the US of A-Holes would be a massive downgrade for Canada, in every way. Oh Canada, eh🇨🇦🇨🇦

Within 4 months, her medical bills totalled more than $140,000. My bill was $40 for an ambulance, that's it! I felt so bad for her. She was at a breaking point. Thank you Jorge. We just returned from Mexico and definitely feel a kindred spirit. Trump has treated Mexico with complete disrespect as well. I hope that it isnt' too difficult for you in the US right now. Thank you for the kind words.
I think that Trump's followers have frgotten that we Canadians are not alone and isolated in this world. We are still connected with the United Kingdom, and that King Charles is our King. We have a lot of close friends in the Commonwealth of countries with cultural, constitutional and economic ties to the United Kingdom. We also have allies in Nato. Come and visit respecting our sovereignty and we will welcome you with open arms. Try to annex us at your own peril. Canadians take passive aggressiveness to the next level. Also we will respond to military force. Keep in mind that our military has always punched above it's own weight and our snipers are some of the best in the world. So let us remain good friends, please and thank you.
I think you need to stop drinking the kool-aid and understand that nobody is taking Trump's joke at face value. Your nation is destroying itself from within even faster than other Western nations.

I am just saying there is plenty of diversity in Canada and I have met people from all over the world in Canada. I personnaly know Americans who have put a Canadian flag on their backpacks when going to other countries. I have also American born friends who are now proud Canadians glad to have left the US when they did. It always cracks me up when, whenever I have to take the plane to the US to visit friends, the American security person at the gate asks me the mandatory question "Are you planning not to return to Canada and stay in the US?". Also, we already have a king (not a wannabe dictator or a wannabe autocrat, but a real king with a thousand years of history) as our head of state, and I wouldn’t give up our constitutional monarchy for the shit show that is the U.S. I’m Canadian, and I stand with the United Kingdom, our Commonwealth of Nations, and with Europe.
Great video guys! Another proud Canadian who has never considered being American here. The only other thing you could add is we're part of the British Commonwealth which consists of 56 countries. Also I would imagine King Charles might have something to say about 45 invading the Monarchy's 89% of our country.
Great point about the Commonwealth. We have always said that at least we are a part of that. I always felt a safety net that if anything happened that we'd have back up. But I don't know what the UK could possibly do. I would hope that there would be backlash, but who knows in today's world.
@ThePlanetD I think there would be political backlash through the Commonwealth. How could the King and the Monarchy NOT have something to say? NATO would provide the military backlash plus some of the other Commonwealth countries like Australia and New Zealand possibly. We have a lot of friends so there would be pressure against 45 I believe. As he learned last time, it would also be like cutting off his nose to spite his face. It would hurt the US as well as Canada.
@@ThePlanetD Only idiot Trump can dream of annexing the 40-million strong Canada as a new, entirely Democratic state (yes, in this case even the UCP supporters will turn against MAGA). The reps barely maintain their slim majority in both House and Senate, look at the 33-million California seat count to understand what incorporating Canada into the US will do to MAGA and their "white power". MAGA is shit, but even they will realize that Canada is the bone that they will choke on and die.

45 years ago I could have easily become the USA resident. Refugees from the USSR in 1979 had to wait only 6 weeks before receiving an entry visa to the USA, as opposed to 6 months of waiting for Canada. Yet I chose Canada, and never regretted it. Events of 2016, 2020 and especially of the entire 2024 convinced me that choosing Canada over the US was the next best decision after leaving the USSR that I made in my life. Granted, Canada has been under the rule of for the last 9 years, but we never bowed to a grifter, rapist, fraud, insurrectionist and criminal that Americans seem to be content with.

One month later she invited me up to Vancouver and we had a GREAT four days together. That year 1977 was special for us. Don't know what came about her, but will never forget this great lady. After a later marriage to Terry, we took the train from Los Angeles to Vancouver to see the EXPO worlds fair (1986). Saw Princess Di and her hubby there, got to visit a most beautiful city a second time. The people there, the natives, just awesome. Friendly but not overly so....perfect. Thanks Canada.

Americans brag about their pioneer foundation, working together to build their country but somewhere along the way they lost that mindset and began to become selfish and grasping. I am so glad that you enjoyed our country. Alberta is so beautiful isn't it? I'm glad you enjoyed our public transportation too. We have a long way to go to catch up to the rest of the world, but we're making our way slowly.
I live in Puerto Vallarta México and I work for both american and canadians, people from Canada is very open ,warm and fair for work and payment, and they are very kind well educated people, they even invite me to go to visit Canada because they know they have a beautiful country,I dont like Ford but I love nice canadian❤❤
On behalf of many many Canadians, I apologize for what Doug Ford said about Mexico. He's an ass who is suddenly changing his political tune because he hears where public sentiment lies - and it's NOT with Trump. I also would like to tell you a secret... I absolutely love your new President Sheinbaum. She's got hutzpah!!
Don't tell them to wear a Canadian flag. They won't be any better behaved.
I feel that way, too. If they're going to put a Canadian flag on their pack and still behave like the stereotypical American, it gives us a bad name.
They're easy to spot. Just have to wait for them to start talking.
Back in the 1960's a friend of mine went to Europe and backpacked around for 6 months. He said what surprised him was how many Americans he met during his travels who had Canadian flags on their backpacks. Apparently it was because as "Canadians" they were treated better.

I understand what you’re saying. I feel awful in acknowledging that I tend to do the same. Today in Mexico I walked behind a group of very loud relatively loud individuals. I assumed they were from the USA. In the future I will ask. I don’t think we should assume that. I am going to find out
I'd go down fighting to keep my country from becoming the 51st state. Too bad my province of Alberta is just an extention of MAGA north of the border under Smith. I didn't vote for her and have no intention to become MAGA canadian.
Alberta has sense! Proud of Alberta for that.
Poor you, like having your province destroyed by the libs do ya?

Canada becoming the u.s's 51st state haha what a joke. We the canadians love our country and will do everything to keep it that way ,and will not let anyone get in our way. We the canadians will go the great length to fight for our country. We love everything that makes us canadian eh!.
Right on eh
Some people don't have the education in history.
At 63, I'd like to party, but at my age moving to the beat sitting in my rolling chair is what I call musical chairs. The spin is best--- legs out, arms high.
Of course I'm higher than a kite.

Truth! And cheers with the beers eh! Lol.. but seriously Canada is great. We aren't perfect, but we are no US and it's clown show...no offense to the Harris/Walz supporters I cried for you all that night... how about the blue states join us and become provinces!

Dream on Trump Canada always be Canada not USA
Awhhh boohoo .. you lucky we even hear you from up there using our made American 🇺🇸 platform TH-cam . Boohoo Canada is incompetent to even create its own car brand . Pathetic wasteful country 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We ARE part of America, just not the United States. Re: North America vs US of A.
@ you do know when they say North America it mean from the Caribbean down to up to Canada/Alaska. Those are all considered North America 🇺🇸

I'm an Australian who lived in Montreal for a year, I love Canada and Canadians. Loved your video, it makes me want to go back 🇦🇺❤🇨🇦
Watched this to cheer me up. You didn’t disappoint.
I love Canada, spent some time in Toronto and surrounds many years ago. Always wanted to come back.
Hoping Australians follow your lead! I'm so over USA's bully tactics.
Love from Australia! 🇦🇺❤
I am so glad that we could cheer you up. The world is a little bleak right now, but if we all start sharing the good things and let people know that there are still good people out there like you, it can be a better place. Love right back at you!
Glad to hear you chose us. Thank you
Poilievre is like Putin so you may want to either head back to Russia or stay and vote for Trudeau.
Dear Canada: You have over 100 million American Democrat's who will never forget your friendship and courage!
We know how important Mexico & Canada is to our country & people even if EL-Rump and the Mega-files are lost forever.
We have a month before Trump shuts-down, "TH-cam and all freedom based internet programs!"
This is our last Christmas & comments as American's. USA will be further known as the, "Co-Coo-Capitol of the World!"
You should be forever grateful that you got to live under Trudeau. He cares about all of us, not just the mega-rich like the sell-out Conservatives who are following trumps example. PP would tear Canada to the ground while handing us over to trump. Apparently, you aren't really appreciative of the benefits Trudeau works hard for us to keep. Shame on you.
@@VictoryRenfrew Thank you for your generous offer. I will pass. To me Trudeau and Liberals are evil No. 1, so Poilievre is the only choice.
