    I just hired my newest assistant a couple weeks ago. I actually have my old assistant training the newest one for six weeks. While this added cost can seem redundant it is crucial to a smooth transition. Let me know if you have any questions. I am always here to help!

    Hi, I have been in the industry for 25+ years and have had a few assistants here and there. I would love to really invest in an assistant program for my salon. I would like to get my hands on an actual system that could help in the process, something that would help me be organized and strategic. I loved your approach and all the info you shared, please let me know if you have any suggestions. My salon is in Northern California. Thank you for your time Christy

      I know there are a number of hairstylists in your area that do provide a business coaching program. They would be able to setup a specific assistant program for you. Hope this helps!

      I have always paid an assistant as a contractor, not an employee. They get a competitive hourly rate plus a weekly cash tip out.
      I pay them directly through my business account using Zelle. I guess you could also just write them a business check each week.
      Hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in!

    Is your assistant paid as w2 or independent contractor ?

      I've done both. You just need to figure out which one is best for your business.

    How much do you pay your assistant?

    • @SamanthaPiercy
      @SamanthaPiercy  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a difficult question to answer because it is dependent on specific regional factors such as minimum wage. In general, I pay above minimum wage with an additional tip out weekly. Hope that helps!

    How much do you pay your assistant or full time employee

    • @SamanthaPiercy

      I pay a competitive hourly rate for Southern California plus a tip out at the end of each week. As a side note, because my assistant is not an W2 employee I am not required to pay minimum wage. I figure there is a lot of value to my education program, access to clients and a weekly tip out. Hope this helps!

      My assistant is paid as an independent contractor. I find it much easier and less expensive to pay assistants this way. Great question!
