Richard Thompson is my grandfather, Henry taught me how to swim and I am also a teacher at Frets & Refrains. I love Henry and always say he would be my first invite to a dream dinner party. This is the best interview I've ever seen with HK
@@TheGuitarShow that was the most full spectrum, well rounded HK interview I remembered seeing!! Ramon’s pacing and what seemed like on-the fly questions were flawless. Ramon’s sincere respect and interest in HK came through in spades!! It’s a rare treat to glean such insight on what makes this fascinating musician tick. I was surprised to see this on your channel. I’m fairly new to your content, so I need to dig the archive. Thanks again fellas!! Outstanding work!!
@@winterneptune1735 I think he was spot on playing the bit from Alice in Blunderland. Not an easy feat considering that song isn’t derivative of anything I can think of. He said it was the 1st song he learned too. He didn’t play anything that resonates with you. Different horses for courses.
Kaiser “played” with all his heroes because he paid them, that's all. He'll never be a guitar hero to anyone because he’s not a real player, he only has money to buy guitars, expensive gear and musicians, but he lacks MUSICAL TALENT. It’s even funny the way he constantly tries to validate himself and his less than amateurish playing by bsaying that it is “experimental”, because we all know that in order to break the rules and experiment you have to understand the rules first. He bought a guitar at 20 and he decided to magically become a guitar player only by copying the experimental work of people like Derek Bailey or Sonny Sharrock, players who actually KNEW how to play and write great music BEFORE they started experimentin. They EARNED their right to be experimental. It’s the same with the work of Sun Ra, Ornette, Zappa, Beefheart, Fred Frith, etc., all real musicians that even at their weirdest their music is still meaningful and has a reason to exist. But Kaiser and his delusional idea that he belongs to the experimental scene playing this bullshit just doesn't convince. He’s never been a real musician and will never be. 57:08 Hahahah, no wonder.

I think the first pro to own an Alembic is Les Holroyd of B.J.H
thanks for this
You got some weird but great guitars there Henry, was that first Floyd Strat with binding a Schecter?
Pity he can’t play them

he is not a musician at all. Just basic playing and many no sense sounds.
That's just an opinion like any other one. To each their own. It's OK to disagree and keep breathing.
