Be sure and check out this first video where we create the basic inventory tracking list from scratch: 👉th-cam.com/video/GYChuAor3Zk/w-d-xo.html and then this video where we analyze our inventory data to report on daily, weekly and monthly changes: 👉 th-cam.com/video/cjQO6L9VXYQ/w-d-xo.html
This has been so useful. I am wondering if I wanted to create a separate table for incoming and outgoing transactions how would that work and what kind of formulas would I need?
Thank you so much for these videos. I know only the basics in excel, but you explain steps so well and in such detail that I have been able to follow and create an automated inventory spreadsheet for my small business. There is one step that I did not see covered in your video that I am hoping you can share on a video or link or comment. On the bottom of your ‘Inventory list Template STOCK TRACKER’ spreadsheet in the How to track Inventory in and out automatically in excel video, I see a tab named ‘Multiple Locations’ which is what I am needing help with. I have 8 small manual vending machines that I am trying to show inventory that is in each machine, and track sales from. I am not sure how to get there from the automated spreadsheet that was created. Could you please share the information needed to create the multiple locations tab in your spreadsheet? Thank you again for your great educational content.
This has been SUPER helpful! The first video let me keep inventory by location. Is there a way to track the stock in and out by location as well? As soon as I added the stock in/out, it applied the numbers to all locations. If not I’ll just do one of these for each office. It would still be MUCH easier than what we were doing!
Absolutely great content, thank you! I was wondering if there is a way to account for stock-in cost variances, when I reorder stock the price may fluctuate, so how can I account for that? Thanks!
This video has helped a lot , I have an inventory containing more than 2000 physical items which group together to make a machine . There are 8 seperate BOMs How should I subtract each of them from the stock faster than , doing them individually. Thankyou ❤
Can we use the stock tracker sheet as for monthly sales sheet? Like for example can we duplicate this sheet and rename it as January February and so on. Will the formula which we have entered on the master inventory sheet get affected by this?
I want to know the formula for how to pick FIFO serial number items based on quantity & days ageing, for example if I have 100 items, from that i need to pick 10 quantities only to match with FIFO, kindly support
Love the videos. Question: in the stock tracker tab, the column transaction ID, is that used for each transaction as individual or group? If the stock out is a transaction for the same customer buying multiple items?
Hi Sharon, excellent videos which have helped me lots. Do you have any videos showing how to sync Invoice to Inventory? So automatically reducing stock according to the invoice?
Do you happen to know how to create a Picking Sheet from line items that update the master list for output to multiple stores. This was really good and detailed information for the entire basis of what i was looking for, but a picking sheet is the only thing im missing
Great video, but how do you reconcile after the physical audit? Manual reconciliation could take an enormous amount of time. Isn't there an easy way to do this?
Coded a reconciliation sheet using VBA that has a button that reconciles all physical inventory variances and lists them on the StockTracker sheet as either stock in or stock out with note indicating that it is a reconciliation action. Still working to shorten the code, as I haven't coded basic since the 1970's in high school. Lol
Hi, Sharon thanks for this tutorial. I have a question about the Quantity in Stock cause I get "0" when I input the formula? hope you can see my concern 😀
Me too. I got 0. I think she doesn’t know anything about formula that’s why she doesn’t answer the questions. She just reply to those people that had good feedbacks. She copied and pasted it. She doesn’t know anything about it.

Id like to know this too.
i am completely new to excel. Do you have a video on how to make the inventory id number in sequence. It was not shown in the video.
