Oh well, her frowning sceptic expression and despite the approving statements she made and you can see she´s interested in asking about details this too cool attitude is not supportive, sadly I have to agree with others who were irritated about it. To be fair, this is probably the biggest challenge to connect brain and heart and to learn how to talk about emotions, and surely not one Germans are good at, I speak from personal disappointing experience that I made before several times. Now I´m curious if we have other interviews done by German channels which turned out more positive, I really hope so!! Please don´t creep this man away I definitely want him over here!!! If anyone can show us how to open up and get our heart on the tongue it´s this man. 😂😂🥰🥰
Wow, so he had sort of a Camino/pilgrim experience back then, I love that! 🥰🥰 It was such a good experience for my best friend, and I know for others it has been as well. It wasn´t the Camino trip for me, but I can look back at a few really really impressive if short hiking trips with my ex boyfriend which I wouldn´t want to miss for my life. The first one we did on Teneriffa we actually found ourselves still on top of this lower "mountain" when the sun went down and we all of the sudden stood there in the middle of nowhere and between high trees. It turned out that Robert had misread the time for sundown. Things that totally happen but now we were there and had only our hand driven torch thing and our phones and at some points we almost missed in which direction we were travelling looking up at the black tree tops. He wasn´t sure anymore, but in this moment gladly I was and I simply said, I´m sure this is the way. 😂😂 On top of that it was raining the whole time, but gladly it was still warm up there. We kept walking until 2 in the night until we arrived at some platform where we just stayed in silence, holding each other, until the sun went up again around 8 and we were able to find a way down. The way was definitely not one we would have chosen bc it meant crawling on each 4 over naked stone, no barrier between us and the free fall and a nice wind blowing around our heads, for a minute I thought, okay, that was it, I just sit down and die here, there is no way I´ll make it over there ... but oc at some point you realize you just have to.
alter lachs ! heute ist was krasses passiert. plötzlich wurde mir ganz anders ! ich hab doch seit jahrzehnten keine psychoaktive substanzen mehr zu mir genommen, dachte ich. aber dann wurde mir bewusst, das ist der krasse radio regenbogen flashback !!! der super smash hit "dancing, with tears in my eyes" lief gerade, aber ich hab nur "Crying, with dik in my as" gehört, während ich klimafanatiker, kastrierte kinder, hetzende kultisten und kriegstreiber sah. was war denn da los ???
I think the interviewer needs to watch back videos of her interviewing people, to check on the expressions of her face and how comfortable the interviewee feels when she displays her various facial expressions. Adopting a similar posture to George, that is - leaning forward and resting her elbows on her midthigh, would lead to George moving around more, and would help her not 'appear' so disinterested. Or as if she is thinking "What the heck is up with him?" Although she is following a script which feigns interest or concern, I just get this feeling from her facial expressions and posture, that she does not care about making her interviewee feel relaxed. The questions and Georges answers are interesting to hear, but watching the video shows dissonance.
That´s a very interesting comment! Read it before watching the interview and now Im eager to see if I will notice the same thing. Probably, bc I think it is really obvious how much of an emotional and sensitive person George is so I would totally expect him to take up people´s moods and have someone sitting with him who´s able to provide some relaxed atmosphere. I´m not a radio listener anymore and don´t know about the channel, but I would guess Berlin due to the rainbow theme. XD And I wouldn´t be surprised at all about insinsitive German interviewers, I never got the impression that there is much emotional sensitivity around me. Not sure how it would be in other countries, however. He once mentioned though that he didn´t feel bad with German audience since they were more attentive/just listening and less expecting, also very enthusiastic when he ended a song. I found this a super interesting observation. I would expect me to just dance all the time and humming with him in my mind, partly looking at him, partly with eyes closed as I know myself while dancing. LOL
Loved the album, and loved hearing the stories about the songs, could listen to this guy talk forever.
So sympathisch

loved his words, such a cool guy in every way... great album by the way.
What an amazing interview!
George does not look very comfortable doing this interview. It is still lovely to hear him in his raw personality. Brilliant Album. Thank you George 💜
He really doesn’t. I thought it was just me.
I like the guy!

Wunderschöne TUDOR 🥰
George doesn’t seem very comfortable with this interview and he is usually such an open and bubbly person during interviews.
