Bette Davis, pronounced Betty, was a professional. She was on time, knew her lines and expected the same of others. Two issues she had were bad scripts and bad directors. The line, Id like to kiss you but i just washed my hair, was a line from Cabin in the Cotton 1932.

    This A.I. writes like a grade-schooler:
"She got divorced twice. She didn't have much money. She also felt sad and worried a lot. These things made it hard for her to be friendly all the time. As she got older, Dorothy couldn't find many good acting jobs. This made her upset."
The fact that these words are read by an A.I. adult voice makes it even worse. And now with a generation that will be raised with this garbage, we are truly doomed.

First of all Bette Davis pronounced the last e in her name as a long e. Second the line about, "I'd kiss you but I just washed my hair" was from "The Cabin In The Cotton" and she said it to Richard Barthelmess. Therefore it was probably written into the script. Lucille Ball ran Desilu productions, NOT what was spelled in your caption. Marlene Dietrich pronounced her name as "Marlena". Gloria Swanson said, "We had faces" in "Sunset Boulevard" made in the 1950's, so I don't know if she said that off camera. Doesn't ANYONE research these videos? Being a movie buff for over 55 years, you can call me and I'll give you the correct information.

Thank you. Maybe you can clarify: Is it just me, or did about half the photos of Dorothy Dandridge look like another actress and not DD at all? These women were, for lack of a better phrase, pioneers. They weren't difficult, they simply refused to be pigeon holed into the expectations that Hollywood demanded of their female stars and women in regular life. They fought the system, and they won, as evidenced by how long their careers lasted. The court of popular opinion deemed them sirens, vixen, and above the bar, and the general public couldn't get enough of them, on or off screen. They weren't evil by any means! They were powerful, and looked after themselves. There's not a single, solitary thing wrong with that.

Wow !! What a thing it is to be in show business. I can understand and relate. Because I'm a singer, actor, producer, etc. Who hasn't made it big yet. I really want to be successful, not a star ⭐✨. I did have stardom on my mind at one time. But that comes with a price. You can't hardly have privacy, etc. And I want my privacy! It's just as important as me having good health. The narrator of this video 📷📸. Didn't sound like a foreigner. Some foreigners don't pronounce words correctly. Bette Davis, the first name is pronounced like it would be if it was spelled Betty. And Desi Arnaz, the last name wasn't pronounced right. I think 💬🤔🙄🤨💭 there was some other improper grammar errors to. As the narration went along. Lucy or Lucille Ball. Some of these stars I've been a fan of for most of my life. And it started at a young age for me. For some of them. I was a fan before I became a teenager. Lucille Ball, probably Dorothy Dandridge, Katharine Hepburn, etc. I never knew or thought 💭🤔💬. That they were hard to deal or work with. On and off the screen. I've heard that some stars were difficult. Down through the years. It seems like they wouldn't went as far as they did. For fear of losing their jobs. And maybe 🤔💬 some did. It just seems not as many would have did what they done. I don't know if I could ever do all that. Although sometimes a work place can be a toxic place to be. Jobs I had that was not show business. Were hard to work at! With supervisors, and coworkers. But I understand that show business is a rough business. I learned years ago from a class I had in highschool about filmmaking 📽️🎥. And plays I was in back 🔙 then too. Even fashion shows I was in when I took modeling classes.

With no healthy home life taking to smoking, alcohol & drugs is going to make a person “in power” abusive. That’s right-lie to yourself if you must. I prefer the truth about fame. Women needed to be three times as strong as any man to be considered equal, so I don't blame any of them for the results of what they went through and subsequent personalities. Then was not now. And if not for all of them, so many women would not have been able to break into and maintain in this business. When I read someone treating decades ago like it is today slightly enlightened, I know that's someone who has not studied history at all. A man at the time doing the same was not an issue. Late 80s business offices were still MAJOR misogyny issues, that wasn't that long ago. Women decades ago arguing with Directors, that was BALLS.

What's with the captions? AI? How about just narrating this piece like normal?
And why all the bad press with these leading ladies? I realize you're just reporting for this video sake. But "evil actresses" is a stretch.
I'm an actor who's done film, theater, and TV, and what you described is simply these Diva's just being themselves. Oscar winners who took charge of their careers, and expected the VERY SAME of others if they even cared. There IS such a thing as bad scripts, bad directors, bad production. Nothing at all to do with the actresses - who flourished in box office careers. The sad sucks who labeled them "difficult" need some growing up to do. Or change professions, who DON'T belong in acting.

Not that it was necessarily bad but she had a daughter with Clark gable but he never publicly acknowledged it,made me lose a little respect for him that he wouldn't at least own up to it to the girl herself

Why am I listening to a man who doesn't even know how to pronounce half of the Hollywood stars names? Marleen? MARLEEN? It's Marlene. Lene is pronounced Layna. Easy? Get it right!

AI NARRATION SUCKS. If you aren’t interested enough in what you say to SAY it, why should I be interested enough to listen? Lazy, lazy, lazy.

This is heavily fabricated and in a lot of instances it melds stories of the stars with roles they portrayed. When you cannot spell the actor's name correctly NOR pronounce it as it should be, it has LOST all credibility.

My God , These pronounciations which are abominable - make this CRAP - Unwatchable. Just the Lucy Ball piece - Alone , is enough to make me bring up my lunch. Not only are the pronounciations ridiculous , there are also mistakes , rumors that they are attempting to pass off as fact...and general characterizations of Hollywood people with no basis in fact. This is " Hack Journalism " at its worst. If you've just tuned in -- TUNE OUT !! Nothing to see here !.
