In response to the Neil deGrasse Tyson quote. I'm reminded of a Family Circus cartoon of the little boy climbing a hill and saying that he was the first person to do it. What he couldn't see, what the cartoonist drew in, was the ghost images of children going back in time doing and saying the exact same thing.
The visuals were great, but this felt less like a movie/film and more like a series of rendering engine or PC/console hardware demonstrations. The scenes were beautifully done, however.
...You lost me with the "NASA" advertisement in the last scene... 🙄 But, yes, exploring the unknown... Always exciting... Nice & very detailed graphics...
You mean the same woman you could see as a child in the very first scene wearing a NASA t-shirt? I thought it was a nice start to conclusion tie-in. Once she dreamed - then she lived her dream.
@@kyriapagan... Oh yes, NASA is really 'making dreams come true "... 🙄 (hope you know what I mean...) Btw, I didn't see the child wearing a NASA shirt, too... 🤦♀️ Have a beautiful day, best regards from Crete... 🤗💞💪
I wonder if Dust would make feature length movies of some of their stories. They are very imaginative, and I feel they would be alot more entertaining that the movies we are not getting nowadays.
dust is a channel that promotes users that make these since dust has a big following the maker of the videos gets attention easier then if they were to upload it themselves so its best to ask the maker if theyd make a feature length film
Thanks for the hyper jump into our possible futures! Really enjoyed the simulations and the homage to those bold explorers who will venture forth in search of new horizons. Now we have to just get thru this emerging climate crisis and see what we have left to work with after 2.5 C of global warming.
It was obvious to me at some point in my youth in the 80s, I wanted a fully immersive experience with graphics indistinguishable from real things. What I didnt understand then was how fast things seemed to move in that direction. Moores law? I just wanna know will we colonize the galaxy? It just seems so glaringly obvious if humans cant control their violence on Earth how can we even focus on a space program?
It's a wonderful vision of a possible future. This is going to sound very political and that isn't its intent, but since everyone here has watched this with imagination, What could happen to the length of time people could live, and in health, if instead of spending nearly a trillion dollars annually on "defense" (Against what country that's attacked us? I seem to forget.), we spent that much on prevention of disease, illness, and extending healthy life for all of us? What could happen to the quality of life if, instead, we spent that much on improving the quality of life on earth and not just slowing, but reversing global warming? And, where would we be if, instead, we spent that (inflation adjusted) amount, starting with the first moon landing, we spent it finding a real, practical, way to explore our galaxy? Please don't judge this as political. Please, like on this magnificent video, use your imagination. Thanks.
The hour's approaching to give it your best And you've got to reach your prime That's when you need to put yourself to the test And show us a passage of time We're gonna need a montage; Montage! Ooh, it takes a montage ; Montage! Show a lot of things happenin' at once Remind everyone of what's goin' on (What's going on) And with every shot, show a little improvement To show that it all would take too long That's called a montage ; Montage! Ooh, we want a montage ; Montage! In anything, if you want to go From just a beginner to a pro You need a montage ; Montage! Even Rocky had a montage ...
nice animation, not a lot of story. There was some sort of escalation, but it wasn't linear, and it was more about possibilities than improvements later on. I'm kind of confused, as most of this seems like taken from a game engine.
Personally thought it was great, took me on a journey from the moment the girl started exploring to advancing through the ages, discovering more and more and cuts back to the girl still stargazing but grown up or future generation of the girl. Thought it was brilliant personally, and deffo a film in every sense of the word
This is probably one of the few I didn't like. It is just a collection of short renders without any notable story, or at least very vague. Even without dialog you can still give a good story, and this isn't it. :(
The Unreal engine can make so many things look great.

Too bad NDT turned out to be a shill
its like a moving picture version of those Terran Trade Authority sci fi coffee table books you used to get during the 70's and 80's .
Resurrection of 1950-s spirit and Soviet Sci-Fi
The ship in the lake called "Colbert" was reminiscent of the starship from the original planet of the apes. Very cool.
Some "small" references to Battlesta Galactica are present
No Man's Sky too :)
Very good presentation. It's as if dreaming brings ideas.
Really enjoyed it
Thank you for sharing. Keep it up...👍👍
Nice little easter egg of the Nostromo destruct sequence graphic in the cockpit UI from the film 'Alien' /nod
I think the fact you felt the need to state it took you 6 weeks and you did it in your spare time, speaks volumes.
stuff is what dreams are made of. thanks for helping me dream!
Exploring without conquering seems to be the hard part.
Simply GLORIOUS! ✨💖✨🪐✨🎉✨

The plot and dialogue were superb
Great scenes created with Unreal Engine, touching the imagination.
Nice. Looks to me like a "Starfield" advertisement.😎👍🏿
loved it
wonderful effects
sadly won't live to see any of it i suspect in this lifetime
maybe next
Definitely the next lifetime...for me too! ❤
The visuals were great, but this felt less like a movie/film and more like a series of rendering engine or PC/console hardware demonstrations. The scenes were beautifully done, however.
good animation with a very fitting music
Beautiful, and so calming to watch.
Absolutely fantastic!
Really well done really liked the sound track.
Someday.... someday....
This is brilliant. ❤
Wow!
Even as a child, I wanted to explore the space, stars and planets! I hope I succeed in another life...
Beautiful! 👍👍

It’s not an advertisement because NASA clearly didn’t pay for it.
0:08 Note to film makers - if the film/video is likely to be watched primarily on tablets and cell phones, you want to make the text larger.
Wonderful animation!
The Future cannot be the Future without Quindar Tones.
Nicely done. :D
🎶🚀🎶
Love from Indian ❤
greetings from germany
👍🍀🤩thx this is the Future
excellent many thanks appreciated
What humanity can achieve. Per adua ad astra.
This is true miracle. Unlimited Galaxy. Its ez job for God 😮

Dust doesn't make any movies or stories. It's just a channel showcasing short films made by independent filmmakers.
First 👍's up DUST thank you for sharing 😉
Obviously scifi at its best

Cant get that 5 minutes back
Lost my worries for a minute there...
Don't dream your life.
Live your dreams.
Moral of the story: Join NASA and get big boobs? I do love the animations. Awesome.
Good❤
This how I wished Starfield would have looked.

lyrics? what song?
Explorers are the only hope for humanity.
Music giving strong Tron vibes! What's the track name?
If only we would.
Oh trust me, we will

So this is the nomansky trailer ?
✌
Starfield?😊
STARFIELD
Stop teasing and release this game, you've clearly made one for us to enjoy!!!! 😎👍👍
The last scene. NASA insignia on her shoulder. I don’t think so. SpaceX. Is more likely.
What game is this cutscene from?
what we would have been doing by now if it werent for greed.
N.A.S.A. Never Answer Straight Anything.
so baaad nooo stoooop it huuuurts stoooop nooo (when a physicist reacts to this)
3:43 that flag is no better than a Nazi flag... should not have put it there
This is just a game demo, doesn't belong on this channel...
Nice graphics and sound... a good mood piece but there is not much of a story here...
Film - Sequence of images that give the impression of movement, stored on film stock

Display of various ideas
A presentation !!

😴😴😴
Too bad you can't compress all that into one person's lifetime.
Starfield!
Sorry... Just six weeks...in your spare time?
Either you are some kind of telepathic electrogenius, or I have wasted my life.
I imagine if Aliens made first contact with a Woman😍 their reaction would be way different then if they met a man😠
🤔Think about it
.
Nice CG. No plot. Not much of a film.
Visuals with no story.
BS
Oh WOW! 😍😍 Yes, please. Can I go and explore too?
Exquisitely done! 👍💎
Thank you, Rob McLellan and Team! 🙏
