I was obsessed with this band in high school... like tenth grade I would go to Best Buy every day after school looking for their new and next album just waiting and hoping
To everyone dissing mike for missing notes: you do realize how much lung capacity it takes to do what he does right? very few vocalists could keep it up for as long a he does especially during a song like this. Mike is a friggin beast
+jacob awsum Actually it doesn't. And there are many vocalist who have fantastic lung capacity. But the style that TDWP has isn't difficult (when it comes to pronunciation and how often you need respiration). He is very active, runs out of breath and then when it comes time to scream the lyrics, he doesn't inhale at the right times. For their vocal style, mids/high screams, he should be inhaling in between every word/every few words. He holds his breath and screams until he runs out of air, then he has to catch his breath, so he misses parts. Yes, I do vocals like this. So I'm not preaching ignorance on the subject. Am I dissing Mike? No. Not at all. I'm explaining to you why, he is missing his notes and just explaining that their style isn't to difficult, when it comes to timing of the words that are pronounced and how much lung capacity you need, to pull it off.
Am I the only one who finds the technical side of their performances cool? Like when there is a pause and Mike says, " 2, 3, 4" and the music continues.
Mike spazzing out makes for a bad live TH-cam video, but when you’re at the show and you’re also spazzing out you don’t mind he is missing some of the lines and his energy is unbelieveable
I don't know what it is but when watching videos of bands live they just don't sound nearly as good as when you're there. Like they don't sound bad in this video but i guarantee when i see them saturday they will sound 10x better
buckdag He's not missing them, he does a whole different version live nowadays and it's always the same. His voice isn't quite as high anymore but it's better.
jesus, might be an unpopular comment, but damn I love devil wears prada on album, but boy oh boy they cant exactly hang live. Or maybe its just me, if everyone else loves it then im very happy.
if you're talking about Mike? He wears the same shirt to every show. Because then it's just one stinky shirt for the whole tour and not lots of different ones. Same pants, shirt, undies, socks, shoes. Well that's what he normally does anyway..
Prada really used to be my favorite band of all time, but lately these live performances are really disappointing me. Mike always sounds hoarse and worn out , won't bother to scream a majority of his lyrics, and Jeremy is losing his touch too. I don't know. Not even 8:18 was billboard worthy in my honest opinion, and this is coming from a fan of prada since 2007.
God, the vocals just keep getting worse and worse. Jeremy isn't even trying to hit pitches anymore. He's just yelling everything. And Mike still thinks it's the crowd's job to scream the majority of the song while he runs around and depletes his breath. And what's with the excessive mic-cupping? His scream is already distorted enough (when he's actually screaming). He's just making the few lines he actually screams completely unintelligible by doing that shit. I'm sorry, I like this band, but these live videos are just super disappointing. And don't give me that "well you try touring for 6 months out of a year and see how your voice holds up" nonsense. Plenty of vocalists have hit the road for years and held up just fine for most shows. Any band usually has plenty of time to rest their pipes on the road before the next show. This is inexcusable.
Well it's either have great presence or great sound. You can either stand completely still and sound incredible like Alex from Black Tongue or have psycho attacks on stage and give the audience something to write home about and have your vocal performance suffer in the process like Mikey boy here. I'd say it's a vocalist job to try to balance the 2 and Mike's doing the best he can. So poo you.
The thing I've never understood is trying to take it in this perspective... If Jeremy stopped playing notes on the guitar, or Daniel stopped drumming every now and then it would sound stupid as hell wouldn't it? Why should it be any different for vocals? People go to live shows to watch you play your music, when you are constantly not vocalizing the notes, whatever the reason may be, then the fans aren't getting what they paid for. I'm not upset, as they were an amazing band for a long time, but thinking about how dumb it would sound if any other band member constantly skipped notes, it would be dumb as hell.
FIREside Branding 100% agree dude. BTW I love how you say "used to be". I saw the sales and chart position of the new album (That I didnt know was released) and yeahhhh this band is pretty much dead now.
I like this band a lot. But this performance was terrible. Not even completing a single line of lyrics without taking 50 breaths. Doesn't even sound like the song. Not saying they sucks but come on man need to improve your stamina.
I’m 33 been seeing these guys since I was like 18. They bring the same energy on stage. Love it
Mike is seriously one of the most energetic people I have ever seen. Every time I've seen TDWP he is great.
i don't want to live in a world where mike hranica doesn't go "...2, 3, 4"
Hes still saying 2, 3, 4 there in 2020 confirmed from the live stream.
Which minute, bro?
@@slametpambudi6244 1:34
@@ryndanriley5348 yup and now the crowd do it with him 😂
He doesn't get says 2,3,4
Only band I keep up with from my middle school days. Mike is a treasure.
love that jeremy is rocking the mustangs and jazzmasters.
class = badass
I was obsessed with this band in high school... like tenth grade I would go to Best Buy every day after school looking for their new and next album just waiting and hoping
The intro's sick! Isn't it the intro for Big Wiggly Style?
yes
I was waiting for him to say "condemned!" lol
I was just think the same thing for real
@@mementomori2839 I know right!
Yep! I remember i saw em and i was so stoked cuz i thought they were gonna play the whole song🤣
To everyone dissing mike for missing notes: you do realize how much lung capacity it takes to do what he does right? very few vocalists could keep it up for as long a he does especially during a song like this. Mike is a friggin beast
Amen

+Evan B finally someone said this
+jacob awsum lots of people do what he does and have better lung capacity
Evan B and in my opinion you need to record what you can do live. He sounds good when he can breathe and keep up!
still the hardest intro I’ve ever witnessed at a metal show. That transition into Wildman goes crazy !!
4:55 awesome shot!
WORD
mike is the best of all time in my opinion the devil wears prada is just legendary
Seriously need more videos of tdwp. Btw, thank you for filming this
Got "Escape" coming soon :)
***** HOLY SHIT YES
I enjoyed their performance at warp'14 my first time seeing them. They really are sincere.
Honestly this intro was soo sick live haha.
Mike is a national treasure! I love all of em but Mikes energy is unmatched
Mike kick in the air and count to 4 never gets old!
the way mike dances spreads such a positive vibe
tss, tss
DUN DUN DUN
dudun dudun dun du
yassssss
I wish I knew warped tour 2008-2015 were gonna be the best days of my life at the time! Prada always brought the energy
Mike seems to have the same energy every show, I love it.
Mike has so much energy live
Miss some few breaths but the energy from mike is so awesome!! It covered those flaws! Hence it gives the crowd an awesome perf!and connection!!
Pretty sure 'Danger:Wildman' is written about their frontman.
1:34 is the greatest moment in this video.
Maybe all videos.
Bobak Rafiee what is Mike even saying? 3034? Lol
If Mike would stop spazzing out for 5 seconds he might not be out of breath all the time
Yeah what a dummy
Timothy Palmer but that's what makes him my favorite vocalist is his energy bro
In a live performance, the energy nearly outweighs the perfection of the musicianship. Stand still and play it perfectly? or move and miss a few.
Love the new stuff, but really miss this era of Prada.
Eu simplesmente amo esse momento... Brabo.
mike still kicking ass like a boss
great live
Amazing vocalist
They need to bring back Big Wiggly holy fuk.
i love how raw prada is live its the sickest thing ever
Back watching my fav old vids of northlane and tdwp 🥰
Are you sure this was in California, cause this looks like it was at Charlotte. The one I was at.
100% Sure
omg this was their best album :)
This is so insanely good. Wow. How are people not losing their minds more rapidly? 😂😂😂
1:34 2 3 4!!
Am I the only one who finds the technical side of their performances cool? Like when there is a pause and Mike says, " 2, 3, 4" and the music continues.
Not technical, it's called band rehearsal.
Dope performance.
I always find live shows bad on video but when your there its so much better idk what it is but they were fuking awesome
1 2 3 4... do as you please
I love how vicious the distortion sounds for Big Wiggly Style here
2019?!!!!
Lullaby 13 2020
4:02 that drop though
Why this video is underrated?
Mike spazzing out makes for a bad live TH-cam video, but when you’re at the show and you’re also spazzing out you don’t mind he is missing some of the lines and his energy is unbelieveable
Somehow I ended up back at the channels I'd watch in school
They fucking slayed Burgettstown last year.
Man.. im getting old
Ahhhh bring back memories, I think this song is a pre djent era hahaha
Yes! Amazing!
Amazing
I don't know what it is but when watching videos of bands live they just don't sound nearly as good as when you're there. Like they don't sound bad in this video but i guarantee when i see them saturday they will sound 10x better
The camera doesn't actually capture the performance.
If it did no one would go to shows.
I miss this Mike.
muito foda . 10 anos dessa perola
did they play reptar and did you record it
holy fuck this is heavy
The Security Guards Look Scared LOL
good 4 the crowd i want there ;)
My God Jeremy I always thought he was pretty good live. Now I think his singing sounds even fucking better live.
Yeah him missing all those notes sounds great right?
buckdag He's not missing them, he does a whole different version live nowadays and it's always the same. His voice isn't quite as high anymore but it's better.
Singer looks like Adam Devine with Blake Anderson's face
"When DeMamp camp turns metal"
I see Mike still has some bite left. Good stuff Prada.
COLLECT THE LEAVVVES!
COUNT THEM!
EVERYTIME iM ARGUING WITH METAL ELITIST WITH HIS BRUTAL DEATH GENRE
ME: OK LISTEN TO THIS
METALCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mike is like the mick jagger of metalcore
Biggest fucking fat crush on Mike. Foreeeeverrrrr.
I KNOW A-
WHAT IS IT YOU KNOW MAN?!?!? WHAT IS IT?!?!?!
What is that guitar that Chris Rubey has? I want it.
custom ibanez ARZ singlecut...i know its bad ass ha.
open with the intro to big wiggly wtf that was random as shit. i love both of these tho covered both on the drums
THIS IS METALCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss when music was like that
I really thought that they would play Big Wiggly Style lmao
People most likely died in that pit
4:02 - I straight jizzed.
I've watched 1:34 to 1:43 like a million times
Sam Anastassatos what is Mike saying?
Richard jezzard do as you please shame will follow
Really how hard would have been to say ghost at the beginning?.....really Mike?
LMAO at 1:46, he doesnt scream the second part of the verse, and just chooses to blurt out a random "UUUUHHH". hahahaha what the fuck.
Was ready to yell condemn...
back when they were cool
I love this band so much but Mike always pauses and it's such a put down
Bro its hard to scream
He was also ruining his voice at this time I think this is before he ruined his voice
what camera do you use?
What's the intro track called
it's the first part of Big Wiggly Style!
FUCKING ENERGYC !!
Which show is this?
jesus, might be an unpopular comment, but damn I love devil wears prada on album, but boy oh boy they cant exactly hang live. Or maybe its just me, if everyone else loves it then im very happy.
What song is the intro
Big Wiggly Style!
Intro song??
+Luis Gutierrez big wiggly style ;)
Why thank you sir
I like Mike's energy but he has no lows live at all. I like his shouting though
The video does it no justice. Maybe I just saw a good performance? But he was on point at Self-Help west coast.
this is mountain view....
No sir, Sacramento (Wheatland to be exact). I think we'd know where we were at haha.
***** holy shit! he was wearing the same shirt then:l
if you're talking about Mike? He wears the same shirt to every show. Because then it's just one stinky shirt for the whole tour and not lots of different ones. Same pants, shirt, undies, socks, shoes. Well that's what he normally does anyway..
mike is better than 2012 2013 wait a little for top screamer come back like oli sykes
Oli went and saw a vocal teacher, his old screaming style strained his voice too much. He's not coming back like that
Well they've been together for what 10 years now so...the vocals may sound kinda bad.
Holy shit the guitar player can actually sing. Although the vocalist cant use a mic properly 😂
Mike put his hand in his pocket while fuckin screaming. thug
i would've rather heard big wiggly style
yours sounds of bands live in very very very VEEEEEERY BAD!!!!!!
bueno, pero las patadas q te puedo dar en la cara quizas te hagan entender mi idioma!..
+Alfredo Pacheco nah. you try getting sound as good this, given the circumstances that CaliberTV had.
Alfredo Pacheco

During the zombie 5 tour he was amazing!
+Hector Gutierres Lol if you think Mike leaves out alot of lyrics listen to Bring Me The Horizon live
jacob awsum Yeah you're right. lol I actually take my opinion back now, seen em live, and Mike slayed.
less energy and more vocals would be best for mike and the song lmao

You saw a better set, the one I was at sucked massively.
Should versus Our Legend Chester bennington?.. Poor performance
