This band has aged surprisingly well for what they used to be... I know this is an old song, but performance and appearance wise, they've really broken out of the lame Warped Tour, neon-cartoon shirt at Hot Topic, metalcore scene that they used to represent... despite the fact that this video was taken at Warped Tour 2014 haha

Absolutely. MySpace definitely helped the careers of many bands in the hardcore/screamo scene. Nonetheless, TDWP is still a great band.
Mike has always sounded perfect. What he does is an aesthetic and a platform for his artistry and less so about metalcore anymore, they're not the same band. It's about hardcore beauty and poetry and real life, they don't generate as a band that wants to get heavier and heavier and more brutal, that would contradict what they've always been about. Sure, they were on a curve at the beginning of their career that lent itself to that more so but they've always been smart, always challenge everything and want to be part of an organic and beautiful essence. If you've seen performances like this live, you were moving. Screw music videos and pop metal and what you think you know about "screaming" that's not what vocals are really about in their whole essence, they're about feelings. This band is amazing. He's a huge Converge fan, go listen to a live video by them and you'll see why Mike does what he does, because Jacob (their frontman) knows whats up. If you don't understand what I mean, that's cool too, but don't feel sorry for Mike, he is very very talented and a lover of music
i think Mike screams are different of the singers of metalcore scene and that make it sound fantastic, he is a fucking demon in the scream

It's sad, i saw them at soundwave 4 days ago, and they all sounded absolutely amazing, none of this mike not singing crap or jeremy's vocals being off, guitars off, they were on point! This is a bad representation of the unbelievable job they do live
Jeremy has changed A LOT, but his voice still the same. I love that.
He's actually gotten better. :) But I don't think he can hit those high notes anymore in songs like HTML Rulez Dood and Dez Moines.

I saw TDWP when on the 8:18 Tour and wanted them to play this song so badly. So happy they decided to play it for Warped

nah man I'm more of a blessthefall, memphis may fire kinda guy. I'm not saying the lineup is completely awful, I'm saying that i don't feel like it's worth the price for me to get there. I like some of the bands but to me it's leaving the hardcore stage.

Evan Leon its directed towards the 13 year old girls from last year that came only for sws and mayday parade and walked into a moshpit and probably got punched so they went crying to their moms. And their moms tried to get warped in trouble. Its quite ridiculous
Some 12 year old got hurt in BMTH's pit at one of the warped tour stops last year and her mom was threatening to sue them for her injuries. I guess its Warped tours way of trying to get people not to mosh (like that's going to work)
It's just a way of saying "we told you so" so they're not liable for anything

I love Mike to death but it really frustrates me that he can't perform the vocals the same as on the record. I mean I know it's extraordinarily difficult but he should just do like a P90x workout or something, then he would be the most beast screamer of all time.

James51195 It's been like this every time I've seen them. Indoors, outdoors, daytime , nighttime. It's almost like he's a poet and philosopher first and a metalcore vocalist a distant 2nd.
Think about this, they have been releasing albums circa 09 each and every year and they have been on a non-stop 3 year tour since 2011 until today because of warped tour. So you still think that he will be able to scream like it's 2009/2011? You got to give it to him for still performing and still owning the show even though his voice is strained already :)
23black061 I know, and I also see countless other bands that have been around for a while that still have the vocal stamina. Mike is just out of breath, I know exactly how he feels. He's giving it his best shot. He obviously has to construct his songs bit by bit in the studio. But on the back to the roots tour he was on top of his game, they should do another one of those tours.
yeah, but we also have to check on how he screams and how it affects his vocal chords. Each and every vocalists have different styles of screaming so yeah (you got my point right) No, there wont be any difference if they do those tours again. Why? Because all Mike needs now is REST. He should take a break and maybe rest for half a year? or a year? To have that old mike with the monstrous lows and powerful mids that we know. I think that he was in his prime during the WRAABB and Zombie records. He needs to rest his vocals man
