    This man literally had the eye of the f'ing tiger. He could read traffic and plan ahead with precision. Takes alot to hold a bike at 185mph, splitting traffic like that. A racing genius and legend.

    what i love about the original ghost rider is he is obviously trying to make it to his destination alive, he doesn't just blindly cut and swerve between cars like a lot of the wannabes and psychos do. this isnt safe by any means but this riding looks borderline responsible compared to some of the videos out these days (often ending in them hitting the back of a truck or a median)

    • @BlazerStoner420
      @BlazerStoner420 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Yup. Any idiot can go full throttle, but controlling the vehicle, anticipating traffic and making it out alive responsibly is what separates the noobs from the pros.

      Can happen in Germany, though 300 km/h is rare here. But 220 km/h + can happen quite often here, and I do drive that speed sometimes when driving one of the better company cars. When you see a car in the rear mirror and you are not from Germany, i.e. used to estimate such speeds by looking into the rear mirror, it looks "far away" and "right on your tail" within a blink of your eye.
      Though not that often any more since the amount of cars has gone up so rapidly in the last 25 years... 5x is my estimate. So nowadays it is rare to go beyond 200 since there are so many cars - it moved danger margin for reaction time a lot.

      Well, the source of this is DVD, so the source picture has a good quality. The ususal youtube source in such a small resolution doesn't have good quality, making it more difficult or impossible to deshake.
      I deshake older movies which are on blu-ray- There are often those tiny shakes by a half and two pixels due to the way analogue movies work. Andromeda Strain (the original www.imdb.com/title/tt0066769 ) and The Name Of The Rose (Again the original www.imdb.com/title/tt0091605 ) are the last deshaked examples - which I cannot publish anywhere for obvious reasons ; ).
      When it come to 4k: Those are usually well pre-deshaked.

      @@JouMxyzptlk so you're saying you can't do it because you don't have the DVDs or a high enough quality source?
      I've never seen the DVD versions of these, only watched what's on youtube. Are the DVD versions much better than what we see here on youtube? what resolution are the DVD versions in? I always thought it was shitty resolution due to cam technology available at the time.
      Even though this isn't my favorite run that he did, this deshaked vid is still my go-to for when I need some ghost rider action. It's also the vid I use to introduce new people to ghost rider, much more tolerable for noobs I think.

    • @JouMxyzptlk
      @JouMxyzptlk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You could, in Germany. Legally. During the first lockdown the Autobahns were quite empty. A drive from my home to Frankfurt usually took about 2h45m, and with bad luck much longer. I made the same in 2h10m with 160 km/h max (I don't like to drive much faster with the car I usually drive). I was at 1h50 with a car that goes beyond 200 km/h.
      Tough I have to note: Not ignoring the speed limit parts on that drive, I want to keep my drivers license.
      If you ignore all speed limits it would have been doable in less than an hour.
      As for now: Well no way, too much traffic.

    • @JouMxyzptlk

      Well, no. There is always a "common sense" interpretation between the written words and how it is applied. In this case probably:
      Where are the walls?
      A moving jail is not a jail.
      He can get out of jail too easily and keeping watch in him would be difficult.
