to be a dancer is easy, but to be *a dancer who is versatile, has insane body control, can make the dance moves look easy and effortless, can communicate to the audience, can incorporate a VARIETY of facial expressions in one sitting, can add little details in every move, can execute the moves perfectly aligned, can make the moves look big and not awkward, can match with every single beat perfectly, and most importantly a dancer who dances for herself and not just for the audience and for the criteria,* THAT IS LISA RIGHT THERE. No wonder international professional choreographers (Kiel tutin, Kyle Hanagami, etc.) praise her dancing skills so much. It's not even about being biased or having a personal opinion, if you rate Lisa's dance moves according to every single point on the objectives, she really comes at the top among female kpop idols. Even a choreographer said that her felt like Lisa was teaching him how to dance instead of teaching Lisa the dance. It's really not about popularity, Lisa really is a great performer. She knows how to own the stage and stay in touch with the audience perfectly. She is an example of a perfect idol on stage.

Kpop Fan def one of the best. She's super talented, but I think idols like Seungyeon from CLC, Boa, and Chaeyeon from I*zone rival her. Nothing wrong with people enjoying the dancing of other idols more. It's all down to personal preference.

Thats because we saw the casual way of dressing that suits her style. Unlike in her solo performances, the wardrobe sucks. Well except her lili film dances, her wardrobe fits her perfectly.
@arum wang wow i've never thought about it, but it seems very obvious rn. when she danced to señorita during their concerts, her clothes hid her shoulders and hips which where the crucial parts of the choreo so when i first watched the performance it wasn't very impressive. the practice version shows her body lines and it's so much better!!

She is always confident and always feeling herself
Whether she is the “best” or not is irrelevant, she just speaks to me when she dances. Others just don’t, simply put. Her and Kai are the only 2 who have that pull. I don’t care if anyone is technically better than her (she’s no slouch), but when she dances she knows how to engage with her audience. I watch other kpop dancers and they just perform moves. Lisa uses her gaze and understands how to capture an audience. Just watch her rookie performance in Gayo Daejeon in 2016. She knows how to play with the camera. It’s more than just moving your body.

Just when I'm about to get convinced that Lisa isn't one of the best kpop dancers out there, I find these videos and I'm again ensured that she indeed is one of the bestest. These dance practice videos do justice to her dancing more than anything else and idk why people overlook these ones and criticise her in other simpler choreographies. Even though it's the same choreography, the dance performed in a raw way like these hits much more than in the actual performance. A moment of silence for those who say Lisa isn't versatile or flexible.

What is the definition of dance? Body movement to rhythm of music. There are so many types of dances that human over the ages has created...from ballet...to all kinds of modern dancing..anyone who had learned the art of dancing professionally or just street dancing and they are able to captivate the audience instantly..that is talent..lisa has it. Whatever you call her style of dancing, she is a professional dancer in my opinion.
She's definitely no where near the level of real professional dancers. She's good for a kpop idol though.

In America, to be a professional dancer you need to be able to book gigs and pass auditions in which you will be competing against other top tier dancers. Lisa would not be able to pass these auditions for sure. She's not skilled enough.

I wanna be like Lisa so bad. She is the reason I’m pursuing dance classes. I’ve been dancing since I was young and believed in elementary school of 5th grade that being a ballet dancer is what I wanted to be so I took classes. Up until 6th grade. Then I discovered hiphop/urban and I was like “That’s what I wanna do”. But now I wanna learn ALL styles of dance and Lisa is a REALLY big role model for me
