I find an adjustable spanner is good for hitting customers in the head when they don't service their bike in years but expect me to fix it the day before a big race. 😝
I just got a shop to give my bike a service after re-assembling it and re-cabling it. It was rideable and 90% there.
dont forget bring it in dirty....
the pedal wrench wouldn't be bad either
Ok that last one was sick
Actually laughed out loud at the handlebar grip...
THOOMP
Same, had to explain to the wife what I was watching.
Wow I wish I'd watched this back in 2018. One of the most practical and versatile PT videos ever! Thanks guys
You can use zip tie on your fork as a really crude truing stand :P
Headset press as a tool for BB purchase was a godsend
Love you Calvin Johnson you are a great mechanic
Thanks for the great insight, knowledge and comedic delivery. When that grip flew off you got me. I am cracking up over here.
"you truing that pedal?"
funniest thing ive ever heard
YOU guys are toooooo much! Always both very informative and entertainingly PHUNNIE!! Thank YOU!
These videos are fantastic! Appreciate that you take the time to make them and it definitely keeps me loyal to the park took brand
Those two guys love tools, smart thinking and life with bikes...
This blew my mind eight different ways, ESPECIALLY the pinch spanner tape holding maneuver.
Actually I've used your grease on Squeaky hinges, I've used your cable cutters on electrical cables etc.
Bullnose pliers for hollowtech preload adjusters in a pinch. Every tool is a bottle opener. Crownrace puller to pull off seized headset spacers and bearing covers. Rubber end of a cone spanner to undo tight quick releases.
I've used a hex key set with 3 keys together as a Shimano hollowtech preload screw remover. Enabled a stuck chain to be removed from the crank and the ride could continue!
I always use a flat head screwdriver or a rag
Gotta make more series like this. Love it! :D
2 tools: Take an old spoke and bend a handle loop or preferably 2 tight loops kinda like a pretzel for the handle and a tiny loop on the head end to hang it. For one tool sharpen the end on a bench grinder to make a pick. Thread an old nipple onto the other to make a nipple setter for building a new wheel. Guarantees you start at a baseline with every nipple threaded the same number of turns.
Great video guys, I have used an adjustable spanner to true a break rotor before.
Calvin, removing that grip was an absolute winner. Serving the food was good too. No more for a while now I see, but the new sidekick -Truman - makes nice foil to your sharp edge.
Ive also use my pcs-10 to hold an axe for sharpening. Works great!
I don't do major wheel truing at home but I do glue tubs for CX season. I've never needed a truing stand so the rear end of the bike makes for a handy wheel holder with the wheel mounted externally in the non drive side dropout.
One of the best content on TH-cam.
THANK YOU GUYS!
Thanks for all the tip, but mostly the puns
A little Baby powder in your tires before installing tubes keeps tubes from sticking to the inside of your tires. Reduces chance of pinch flat on inflation and makes it easier to change tubes after a flat.
Plastic tire levers work great as a prying tool for removing internal trim panels in a car.
I have like/thumbs upped last 4 videos before they started, Park, and never regret it!
attaching QR axles in axle vice. To install 6 bolt rotor, start threading by hand, then spin the wheel counter clockwise while holding the torx wrench into the bolts. Takes like 30 seconds to do each 6 bolt wheel.
Great stuff guys. Keep it up!
A threaded bar with large washers and nuts is a cheap press in tool for bottom bracket bearing cups.
Used one and two last week. Fantastic ideas.
1:30😂😂
I remember upending my bike frame so i could use my Craftsman woodworkers vise (parallel jaws with oak jaw inserts) to press in a headset...
Love you guys!!! :-)
I used a patchkit on a beachball i found
Thanks for the laughs guys.
Campy peanut butter wrench
Spoke ruler slots perfectly for safekeeping down the channel side of the upright of most TSs, except the TS-3 and 8.
That was awesome!!
Learning to think.
Pedal wrench is just the size for some cheapo-bike hub nuts.

Now that was cool well done
I use my turbo trainer to glue wheels ready for tubulars
Muito bom o vídeo... Parabéns !!!
Use my PT table top scale when making bread. It’ll go down to 1g, which is more accurate than the kitchen scales which goes to the nearest 5g!

How many videos have you been sending?
I have a question for you guys on parktool. How to converting from cantilever to V brakes
Check out this video th-cam.com/video/PMyVtWzeuBA/w-d-xo.html
If you are interested in converting from cantilever to v brakes you will need to order some "mini" v brakes. The arms are shorter and will work better with the shorter throw of a brake lever that has the pull for a cantilever. Then install the new brakes on the old bosses. The cable routing will change and sometimes a zip tie or two comes into play for that. Route the cable and housing, set up the brake, then you should be ready to rock with your new more powerful brake that should squeal less.
Use a hammer for everything
cool
haha...Super!!!!!
Park tools hackes
While I’m not proud of this... 15mm cone wrench to remove pedals lol

Always think out of the box. I don't give a dam what it is. When you work only from inside the box. You just made yourself a prisoner of your own making.
