In season 1, he was a little naive and too trusting. That changed after Wells' deception. The team gets on him about Barry's suspicion, even when he is usually right most of the time.
And now season 6, Barry had a suspicion about iris being trapped somewhere after mirror iris kicked him out, and he was right and “DA Cecile Horton” said he was crazy

He took this stranger into his confidence only for him to first break his back and then break one of his best friends’ hearts with a fake death. Hell, Barry even made that display with his helmet in honor of his sacrifice, so he feels twice the fool over. And in between he blackmailed Wells into secretly siphoning off Barry’s speed, thus allowing Iris to be injured because it was not faster to save her from harm during the tar pit case.There are so many layers of betrayal written on his expression right now and Grant conveys that silent anguish perfectly. The first time was not his fault, but now he has been fooled a second time by somebody running the exact same scheme and he ignored all the warning signs thinking it couldn’t happen again. And it could’ve gotten somebody killed.

Ironically, it’s the villains that taught him to control his powers and use them in ways he probably never would’ve thought of. A weird dichotomy but they pull it off beautifully.

Maaaan Flash S1 and S2 were hands down the best seasons. I remember everyone was trying to figure out who Zoom was each week. That reveal was unexpected.
This scene was executed so well. The shock Team Flash has to the reveal of Zoom mirrors ours in the audience, at least, that’s how I see it. Also, I absolutely loved when Barry raced out and screamed at the top of the cliff. It was really powerful, and it just shows that the poor guy really needs a break😂

I feel so sorry for not just Barry, but for Caitlin too. She’s had one of the worst records when it comes to romance. Ronnie dies, Zolomon turned out to be a mass murderer, and she pushed Julian away. Can’t she get a break? I hope she will in Season 8 cause I heard a few romances were hinted to bloom.
Grant went all out with that scream and it still gives me chills to this day. Say what you want about the show but he’s the main reason why I’ve stuck with it to the end because he made me The Flash fan I am today.

When RF and Wells "fought" in that speed bubble, it threw up for a loop at first since we were all like "well he can't be RF since he was in two places at once" even though it's possible for a speedster. People still guessed Harrison was RF from there on and they were right. Literally no one expected Jay. That's what makes it, in my opinion, better
The only similarity between the two reveals is both Reverse-Flash and Zoom were pretending to be different people and mentored Barry. They had different reasoning for their lies and hid behind very different masks. Its not really a rehash at all. Plus, "Harrison Wells" was suspicious from the beginning. The violent, overprotective ways he'd protect Barry, his suspicious chats with Gideon, the newspaper. "Wells" was a walking bullseye for schemer, this didn't make him uninteresting, but it wasn't til RF beat him that we would think "maybe he isn't the 'man in yellow'". "Jay Garrick" had little to no red flags, we didn't even know Zoom was sick like "Jay" til we learned they were one in the same. So no, its not the same at all.
This was heart breaking to me because i felt so bad for barry because every time someone trys to help him get faster they always end up using him for his own speed even if that means killing the loves ones that he cares so much about that's why this was so heart breaking and i know Harrison Wells was to because as soon as he heard the name he quickly stepped up so i know it hurted everybody especially Caitlin because he made her fall in love with him and she was really hurt because she got used just like barry got used so it was really heart breaking to see this episode and i hated how it ended it left us with so many emotions for real

Man this show used to be so good. Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing.

You can tell over time that Barry started having trust issues. And I don’t blame him at all. He got tricked and betrayed way too many times. It’s a wonder he hasn’t gone full psycho yet
