also Gemma from The Pampered Wolf recently started to pump her foundation into the palm of her hand and then swirl her brush into it. I have been using this method consistently now for a few weeks and I find it brilliant for an even, streak-free application and I have used it with several different foundations and it works really really well with all of them ... just thought I would let you know!!! Very interesting method that I am finding very useful. xxxx

How was that different from pumping it onto the back of the hand and swirling your brush in it?

    • @maireadweaver8952
      @maireadweaver8952 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@moongoddess5858 it seems, to me anyway, to coat the brush more evenly because your palm is more like a 'well' than flat .. if that makes sense .. and it seems to kinda 'warm' up the product. Its strange but I definitely see a difference with how my make-up looks. I was getting a lot of streaks and 'dotting' so I have started to do this and then dab the product around my face first, then buff in .. and also setting spray has helped a lot!!

The most surprising product to me was the Physician's Formula Bronzer and Blush, really beautiful, and I did not expect it to have much color. You could've stopped with it and not used the NYX blush and been perfectly fine. Love the lip liner! You've made me a believer in the finishing powder. I use one you recommended. Thank you for trying out so many products!

Re: City Beauty's "Guarantee"... You have to return any empty packaging, any partially used product, & pay return shipping to be eligible to get any money back! So, if you bought one of their multi-pack specials, tossed the box when you opened the first container, threw out the first empty container when you opened the second container, and then discovered the product did not perform as promised before the end of the guarantee period... You're out of luck!!! This is not disclosed on the site. But, what a great way to get out of honoring a guarantee because who keeps empty product pagkaging?!

So I'm in overdrive trying to reverse my aging. I love the Colourpop Super Shocks on my lid. Especially Koosh. So pretty and smooth. I also bought the mini Nars creamy concealer in the shade Honey for a color corrector off of Nikki La Rose's recommendation... top notch. Works amazingly well. Highly recommend. I love it when you do these 'first-try' tutorials because it is like we are trying them with you!!! With regard to brow pencils I am so tired of 'dark brown' pencils pulling red .. all brands seem to do this and 'black' is always way too dark for me. I have recently started to use the Benefit 'grey' pencil .. it seems to somehow blend in better with my dark brown brows .. go figure!!!! Also can you recommend an alternative to the City Beauty eyelid primer? They don't deliver to Ireland and you can't but it on Amazon either for the same reason. I would be very interested in a similar eye primer as my 54yr old lids are 'stretchy' and move too much when applying shadow. I am also finding it hard to balance moisturising my undereye circles .. too much and my corrector and concealer 'melt' and go goopy, too little and they stick in every crease and wrinkle ... I am finding this year particularly challenging make-up wise .. and ANY advice from you would be gratefully received .. I am willing to try anything at this point!!!! Thanks Stephanie-Marie xxxx

I wouldn’t say it oxidizes (for me), but it dries down darker. A lot of foundations do this, which isn’t oxidizing, but settling into their true shade upon drying down. If it’s oxidizing further after it dries down, that’s a different story though!

I have both. For me personally (age 48, normal skin, non humid climate) The new one lasts much longer, but you MUST put it on with a sponge, otherwise it is a patchy disaster. You may have misheard me. In the video I shared that the shade of Spice changed over the years. I said M1990 is the shade of the original Spice, not what it is now. The original formula was out what, 20-something years ago and no longer exists. So I’m guessing no one still has it and if they do, it’s gone horribly bad. The founder of MOB Beauty created that original MAC Spice shade that everyone first grew to love. So I’m going by what the actual creator says and what I see on my lips and recall from back when I loved it…before it changed.

I do wish TH-camrs would stop exclaiming their age. Impact comes after you apply products! I am proud to be 72 and have not really changed my makeup since 20s- I do Smokey eyes (less dark than when I was younger) still loves a red red lip and still dress like I did in my 30s. Right now it’s baggy jeans, great shirts and a mini bob. Still size 8 or junior 9. I do not conform to “old lady” dressing or habits. Life should be enjoyable not constrained by numbers. 🎉

I see your point, but it does matter to some of us who want to know how things will wear on someone with similar aged skin as we have. I don't think it means anything negative about being any age. It's pertinent information for reviews.

see I watch so many people that I can’t remember and appreciate the transparency and reminder of the age info

I understand where you’re coming from, but the majority of new viewers who’ve never watched before appreciate that information. Many times they think I don’t have mature skin, when I actually do 🤪

I really like knowing the age of the presenter so I can be sure the product may work for me.

I agree I like knowing the age, skin type and where they live ( humid, hot, cold weather) etc.

You pay $150 for a foundation and its bad.

I get it. I personally wouldn't spend $150 on foundation either. Please remember it's Stephanie's job to try all brands to benefit us as her followers so be kind in your comments.

It’s my job to review products to help you guys make better buying decisions. I spend the money, and spend the time testing it, so you can decide if you want to or so you don’t have to.

I’m calling myself out here because I know it’s kinda dumb. I have a tendency to not trust Beauty creators with bangs. It’s like “what are you hiding under there?” I want to see all skincare and makeup at all times at all angles. 🤣

I'm loving the look of that new ColourPop eyeshadow palette, and I look forward to your full review of the Tom Ford foundation. For the cost of that foundation, I would expect it to perform miracles and maybe even clean my house for me.
