I like how you played around with the original bass line. Whilst keeping true to the original. There’s loads of covers out there that overplay. You did Guy Proud
Usually i can`t tell the difference, but there is that groove that Guy and You have whilst playing this song, that i`m struggling to find in any other bass cover. And bealive me i`ve seen a lot. Long story short, really, really god job
Just ordered a C4. Been debating it for a while but hearing what you did with it pushed me over the edge. Definitely appreciating your artistry with it and giving me an idea of what it’s capable of (not available locally)!!!
SWEET! With the C4 preset?? Are you freaking kidding me! You are just plain awesome, dude. And you crushed this too, which is def. one of the sleeper butt-kicking bass lines out there. Hope you like syncopations!
Yes he did. He actually forgot all that adventurous improvised stuff on the outro which ended up on the record, until Madonna had to remind him it was HIM playing on it!
I never got the c4 sounding like a synth. To me every setting/adjustment sounds more like a octaver does , you hear the actual bass with a litlle effect on top. Also this video sounds way closer to the bass than to a synth.
Hi, yes that's right. It's a pedal made by Source Audio. It has an in-depth software editor where users can create their own patches, as well as add ones downloaded from the community. In the video description I've included a link to the preset I made, so if you have the pedal you can download it and use it yourself.
The synth patch on the C4 has plenty of sub octave. As far as I can remember there’s at least two oscillators pitched down an octave, one of which is a subby sine wave. It’s quite common to play synth emulation up the octave on bass guitar and let the pedal pitch down the dry signal. I would have rolled off some low EQ when mixing, and would have done the same to the track to get rid of the original bass, so it probably sounds a little thinner overall as a result.

Fantastic cover. You are the real the deal when it comes to bass playing on TH-cam.

Holy hell who knew this went so hard. Absolutely obsessed now. Amazing performance.

This goes so hard. I loved it 😍😍😍 I adore the bass
This makes my heart happy. I wish I could pull this off.
Brilliant rendition of a great bass line. Guy Pratt is boss. He was playing with Pink Floyd prior to his work with Madonna.
Very cool, as always.

Hugs from Brasil.

Love it!
Fantastic, Did Guy Pratt origionaly play on the tune?
Yes he did. He actually forgot all that adventurous improvised stuff on the outro which ended up on the record, until Madonna had to remind him it was HIM playing on it!
Excellent!❤
awesome buddy
Nice job, as a kid Guy's bass track made cock my head to 1 side... And so it began. Between Guy Pratt and Paladino set me on a path of Bass
Very Good 👏🇧🇷

This is a great playthrough! Did you transcribe it yourself?
can I give a double thumbs up?
Get(ting) Into The Groove .....
Might just be me but are you playing this an octave too high? I'm missing the low end grunt this song is known for...
