This is the best vacuum I have ever owned! I have never had to clean hair off the roller and trust me I have hair all over left from my wife and our dog. This vacuum will clean right against the wall, where most vacuums will fail. Also most vacuums will shoot cereal and litter forward, whereas this vacuum will not. Easy to clean also, everything lifts out and you can rinse in the sink. Best purchase I ever made, ohhhh and the suction is incredible. The transition switch from low carpet, high carpet, and hardwood floors makes it so seamless.

*I tried several products for my HW and this is the best **MyBest.Tools** Mops and vacuum cleans at the same time. Keeps dirty water separate and overall very pleased with this product.*
my friend has the same vacuum. she has 4 kids and they put her vacuums through A LOT. she has sucked up water, beads, tons of dog hair and dust, and left it in a rain storm. it’s still going strong. i have one too. it works super well.

A great vacuum and I love it. The video didn't show how the motorized attachment worked or the other attachments. So the video didn't do much for me. I liked that the woman showed how to clean the filter and that I appreciated. Good effort for basic use. Next time show how the attachment works on stairs.
Received Today. Well Packed. Opened up & didn't even need manual on how to put together, super easy, no hardware needed. Proceeded to vacuum entire house. My review is for today day one & will update.
Love this vacuum! Excellent suction power and the way it cleans hard wood floors. My old Hoover pet vac used to spit debris behind it and I'd have to go over the area many times. This vacuum of shark cleans my floor on the first pass! The extra attachments that come with it make it an excellent value. I am very happy!!

I had this one upgraded to the new Vertex few months ago. Had this one for a few years. The Kirby people showed up at my house. They could not pull any dirt out of my carpet. Was the funniest thing I ever seen in my life. He try to show me how my vacuum was jink. But at the end I show him how his is junk lol.
Our 20 year old Dyson broke (ahem, it was sticking on something and the force of me trying to force it loose broke it). Anyway, a quick check of vacuums on TH-cam sent me for the Shark Rotator...because I didn't want to spend the money on the Apex. As luck would have it, my wife received enough Target gift cards for Christmas for us to buy the Apex. It arrived today, and I could not be happier. I think the suction on the Dyson is stronger, but with that one, it didn't get all the dirt. The rollers and beaters have to get the dirt into position to be suctioned away, and the Dyson did not work nearly as well as the Apex. The Dyson roller tended to slow or stop on carpets. The Apex doesn't slow down for anything. In fact it wants to run away with you. One pass on flooring or carpets seems to be all you need. For small rugs (bathmats, doormats, etc.) you need to be on the long carpet mode. Dyson couldn't do those at all. Also I was amazed at how the Apex picked up the pile on the carpet. It feels like brand new carpet (I vacuum in barefoot, so I can really tell when it's clean).

Me and my wife own a cleaning company nice job on the review. You sold me Lol! We always buy Sharks. Light weight, great suction and easy to get under beds etc.. Trust me we have tried them all and Shark is the best buy for the money. I will take it over a Dyson any day of the week! No stupid ball that can not get under anything.

Just got this same vaccum yesterday from Walmart was on rollback for $289 normally $389. Glad I purchased it especially for the stairs. Powered liftaway is my favorite feature.
Well unfortunately I had to return it the powered liftaway hose had a short in it. They were out of stock for the apex so I got a hoover windtunnel max capacity. Honestly I like it better than the shark ot replaced. This was the second shark vaccum id returned in less than a months time so quality to me is subpar too bad because it turned me against the brand. I'll stick with hoover and bissell from now on.
Thank you for your great review. I was flipping a coin to decide whether to get the APEX which you have or the newer VERTEX vacuum. I decided and now have the APEX, exactly like yours. The VERTEX I felt, like some other reviewers, that it had too much suction capability and I like the lighting provided on the APEX better. First room I did was my DEN carpeted and really did a great job getting the dust out of the carpet. My friend said to go with Shark products and that is what I did. Plus I wanted a bag-less vacuum which my very old vacuums have bags which I cant find anymore. So again, thanks for your review.

If you attached feet (glue on, nail, or screw) to those furniture pieces you could raise them up enough to vacuum.

It’s not 500 dollars it is like 350 dollars or something well on Amazon it is. Also I am talking about the zero m tech on the newer apex. The zero m tech is the thing that cleans the brush roll
I’m sure you can find it on Amazon for around 350. Last year when we purchased this the regular retail price showed 500 but after discounts and sale price it was much less.

Now that was a great, no foolin' around unboxing! I think I'm in love with, and sold on this model Shark now! Will definitely keep in mind for next time. My last two have been Eureka pet type vacs that I've gotten a lot of good use out of. Can't get under the bed with though. It's so good to see ya'! 💗🥰

Hi, I hope you can help with some questions. Some people say this is not good for deep carpet, what is your thought? Also, how does it handle with human hair, I have 4 long haired girls in my house. And the back roller, can you take it off for cleaning, or is it good enough for cleaning. And finally, how do you still like it, and any tips. Thank you so much, you did a great job on the review!
Lampofilm It is not good for deep carpets. Short carpets or burber would be fine. It’s works great on hardwood and or vinyl flooring. The roller cleans itself but the entire vacuum is cleaner friendly. You can dismantle the whole thing and clean it and put it back together.

1/2 inch carpet would be fine. Not sure about human hair. I guess it depends on how much. We don’t have girls.

Do those other accessories fit on the spot labeled Motorized Pet Tool? Just saw on amazon reviews people saying that there Apex didn't come with it (241FLIN850) and the other tools don't fit.
Interested in the vacuum but kind of need 2 basic tools on the unit, a crevice tool and brush tool.
You mentioned you had the Shark TruePet vacuum- how do they compare? I have all hard floor so which would be better to get ( The Apex or the Truepet Upright)?
My disappointments in this vacuum, it did not come with a brush attachment, something I've gotten with every vacuum I've ever bought. You have to remove the entire power cord to use the pod. I bet the power cord will be the first thing to go, I mean that's a heavy cable. Not sure if I want to take it back or not. Older people would have a difficult time I think.
I am deciding on buying this vacuum, How much does it weigh in Lift Away mode? (canister + motor etc.?)
I have the same shag rug. Did it work on the shag? My kids have allergies and the rug is their play area so I need to vacuum it regularly.

Am I the only one who HATES the design of the hose and dust tank? The hose is so stiff you can't reach anything unless you are carrying the lift away dust tank in your hand. Sometimes I need both hands free. Why would they create a design like this? I LOVE this vacuum in every other way, but this design makes me hate it.
Ok first of all I would kiss you for NOT doing what half the asses do and take 40 min taking out of box! I just snagged a new one for 250. Had to argue with the two ole bitties at the register about price tagging. But, yeah. Thank you for being real with the unboxing

Wait till you have to clean the beater brush. I hate this vacuum. I’ve never had a vacuum where the beater brush doesn’t come off. So hard to clean.
I’ve cleaned it already and didn’t have that much trouble. Not everyone will love every vacuum it’s OK, they all definitely seem to have their issues lol. I do appreciate the comment
