The Intel Core i7 isn't worth the extra money if your not doing demanding things Intel's Intel Core i3 or Intel Core i5 is plenty. I have both Intel Core i5 for my main Setup on my Lenovo Laptop and my second Lenovo Laptop for on the go is an Intel Core i3 and there's not really much of a noticeable difference between the two. The Intel Core i3 is getting older but they say it's still one of the best Processors out there especially if your on a Budget and in my opinion the Intel Core i5 is just as good as the Intel Core i7 for half the Price.
@wwjoshdew I hope your queen enjoys the new laptop. If you have the time, could you do a video going into more detail on how you set up a new laptop without all the windows junk and your preferred settings?
If she’s a very basic user then an older gen laptop is a good deal. Have you considered AMD ryzen models? You could probably get a newer model for the same budget too
I mean, she does 3D printing and uses her laptop on the go. I wouldn't call her a basic user. She doesn't need a gaming laptop. Just something with a bit of power. she likes the number pad, bigger screen (her old one was a 14 inch with an i3), and that it charges via USB C.
