    Thanks for this, I modded my FZ1 Arrow Db killer similarly.
    I added an extra 3 rows of holes to double the output.
    Very happy with the result, my FZ1 still goes well but doesn't sound too loud.

      Works like a champ. PCV with Auto Tune compensated for the increased airflow.

    Awesome sound but it does sound almost the same without the Db killer. Do u think adding just the hole in the end would make a difference? tks

    Sounds like my Dyson stick vacuum

    @DouglasHolt, I am trying to do the same, just waiting for a new DB killer to arrive. Question though, for me through the video I don't really hear much of the difference, but would you say this is a good improvement over no DB-killer, and that it's not as tiresome driving with this modified DB-killer inserted?
    The center hole, what is it's main goal, add more "noise" or add more performance?

      I did not want it as loud as no DB Killer. More air out, less restriction, with an ECU flash, means more power. I achieved my goal. The hole in the center lowers the pushback pressure.

      @@douglasmholt so im very curious if without the tune, when you modified the db killer it started flaming more out of the exhaust? i want to modify my db killer with the arrow setup to get more sound out of it and also pops and crackles. what is your experience with this? i mean if you had any

      @@shapelessdreams, I had replaced my AIS system with block-off plates. That is the source of your popping and flames, none here.

      Much meatier sound, no too loud. Phone microphone doesn't do it justice.

    Quick question for anyone willing to help me out. Will a full exhaust lose some power if the silencer/db killer is in it? Will the bike run that much faster simply with just a "straight pipe" type of outlet?

    • @douglasmholt
      @douglasmholt  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on how they dyno tuned the pipe. DB Killers usually rob some power in search of lower decibels. Straight pipes don't necessarily add power. Some back pressure is needed. Fuel injection needs to be modified to match.

    my db killer started whistling after the modification, why?

      I'm not an engineer, pull it out and look for cracks and carbon buildup.

      Stoltec Moto - www.stoltecmoto.com

    How did you made the holes?

    • @douglasmholt
      @douglasmholt  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took it to a machine shop where they used a drill press.
