Love the beginner tutorials- it is so helpful- more videos please about threads to use on certain fabrics and tension and how to sew viny and cork etc- beginner friendly is so good thanks Jo. xx
Ok so. I am taking a course for bag making..my first crack at it. Got my email today and was told where to go to buy the pattern we are making. Well…it is the Vordenza..from you! So while I was on your site buying it…I bought the pattern for this at the same time..because I coincidentally had just finished watching this video!
Welcome to bag making. This bag is perfect for your first project. And hope you like the vordenza. We did a video tutorial for this bag as well but it’s quite old now and we hadn’t quite worked out what we doing yet for videos 😂
Hi Jo, hope you are keeping well, I haven't been around for quite a while and its great to see how much you have grown ( sewing wise ) since you have first started out on fb/youtube, Im so glad a you both deserve it, keep up with all the great work and designs that you do
Love love love your new layout and font on your tutorial... It's so nice and modern. I'm an experienced bag maker and I can say that yes I have made every single bag that you have designed... Yes I'll buy this one as well ... Perfect for a craft bag... The massive one may hold some of my notions .. but I think I'll need to make all 3 sizes .. thank you again for another brilliant tutorial 👍🧵🪡👜👝

Have fun!
Hi Jo. Perhaps folks could stitch the bottom seam first, then press, then sew the side seams
Definitely an option but will make pressing the side seams a little harder
Also to iron the seams open, on the inside, use a rolled up towel to pop inside ... A homemade Taylors ham
Love this pattern Joe, would you say that it's reversible with the gap closure at the top? I'm starting a mini right this minute!!!
Glad you like. It’s not really reversible as the lining is sewn with a larger seam allowance to help it fit better
If using a heavier weight fabric like curtain material, with a cotton lining, are the interfacing etc still needed?
I would use the stabiliser to give structure but skipped the interfacing
How did you make the strap?
You can purchase the strap by the metre from Country Cow ... I have many colours from them and it's brilliant quality.
Thanks 😊
