  • Reportedly, Bing Crosby hated this song, and this blooper version of the song was better than the good take. Bing recorded this on October 25, 1932.

Joe Venuti did a Raspberries splurt making a poot sound that sound that started all the hilarity! AWESOME RECORD!

Roughly seven years later, he'd ask them to play it back after he screwed up.

2:15 Tommy Dorsey, ever the perfectionist, broke up Crosby with a razzberry when Eddie Lang ("Uncle Salvi") stumbled over an arpeggio the home audience probably never would have noticed. The rest of the band fought gamely on.

Some say Joe Venuti on the raspberry!

@@saturn3652 I think so, too. He was infamous for his razzberrys. Bing himself mentioned about Venuti's 'talent' during an interview with Michael Parkinson.

As a song it pretty much was.

He wasn't called one-take Crosby for nothing.

    Who's Uncle Salvie?

Uncle Salvie is who they used to call guitarist Eddie Lang. His name was actually Salvatore.
