I also am resolved to do more overlanding this year. I live in your community and hope to meet some day for an adventure.
Nice! I'd be up for that for sure!
What light bar do you have on that TraikRax? Do you recommend it?
It's the new Rough Country 40" Spectrum serries. I love it. People in front of me have accused me of beaming then into the next dimension.... You'll need to get longer brackets for it. Or taller I should say. Or make some.
When we were doing backpacking trips, we had one rule. if you brought it twice and didn't use it, don't bring it up the third time.
That's a good rule!
Love your sense of humor. Good ideas too. I’ve commented on your videos before. My 2024 Badlands went into production 1/4/24. ! I ordered late September. Can’t wait. Too bad your so far away. Your hangout spot looks pretty cool. Your dog seems pretty relaxed there. Lol.
Thank you! Oh you must be excited! Yes I love my spot. And yes, she's a big baby and needs her own chair haha.
looking forward to what you bring to the channel in 2024
Thanks man!
I'm just now looking to get into Overlanding so I have watched a multitude of videos about gear, common mistakes and all that, but one question I've never seen answer.
How do you get firewood? I've seen a mention they take a firepit, but not once have I seen one talk about taking a chainsaw or any kind of saw or firewood.
It all depends on the area you are in I guess. I mostly camp on my own land, so I cut some and also bring some dry wood from home. Most end up getting battery powered chainsaws and cut up deadfall.
I now call my purpose built off road camper an overlander.
Nice! Must be quite the rig!
first resolution needs to be to get that poor dog out of the smoke. :D
haha I tried. But you know how it is, the smoke follows you wherever you go.
This is why I stick to camping and road tripping instead of Overlanderering. I’m just not up to the Overlanderering level.
😄 as long as you get out there. Call it what you want.
