It took me 4-5 years to realize that the nine said “The Pyramids are on the field” via the coin flip.
This was in the game but not anymore idk why there showing us dead contact

@@thechroniclegamer4285 Nah, it's the fact that there was a whole quest line where you chose to side with either Drifter or the Vanguard, which was completely unique to the game, and it led to nothing AND essentially got sunset. Wasted potential.
@@thechroniclegamer4285nah it wasn’t even that lol, they choose to add new content over fixing the old content and didn’t want to do a mass copy/paste to the new engine. So they vaulted it

Definitely should've included those audio logs that went more into Drifter's past.
Believe it or not those logs are still in the edz for some reason lol

Yeah, i loved "Gambit Prime"...well, at the beginning anyway(First 3 months) lol
So many people hated this season, but this was the only season of Destiny where I played it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
We got Zero Hour in this season, the single best peace of content ever released in D2
Pretty sad the only way to experience most of the Destiny 2 story is TH-cam

im glad i started playing when shadowkeep came out and i got to experience these old cut scenes
Love how the whole purpose of Gambit and the plan of the Nine was to have something prepared for when the Pyramids come and it all amounted to nothing. The Pyramids are here, all the seasons up to The Final Shape have all passed and we literally had the Drifter in the narrative of Season of the Deep, and he still ended up doing nothing with all he gathered and revealing nothing about what we have been working towards in Gambit. Amazing work Bungie!

Damn, anyone know what "game" they are referring to? It would be really interesting if Drifter had some sort of activity he was involved in that guardians could play, like Crucible or Nightfall or something.
I love the irony of how Gambit is the least played ritual activity in the game (mostly from a lack of meaningful support from Bungie), and yet Drifter is WAY more important to the story than Shaxx ever was (Season of The Wish has been the most story relevance he’s EVER had, and he just talks a bit)…
We needed a “Season of the Crucible” before Final Shape.

Man, I'm sure they just threw away whatever this was actually leading to.
You don't see the drifter or the nine involved in Lightfall or Final Shape.
This was a lead up to the arrival of the pyramids in season of the arrivals & the pyramid reveal in shadowkeep. So they didn’t throw it away, it just already happened. It’s not that the nine had something to do with it, they were just the messengers.

We used to complain about the content in these smaller "expansions", or "seasons", or whatever we're calling them in hindsight, but we didn't know how good we really had it when it came to things like the lore and story.

i really miss gambit prime it was so fun and didn't deserve to get vaulted bring back this version of gambit and i think a lot more people will play gambit

Is that gift from the Nine to Drifter a "Veil" or what is it?
Not really. I don't think they ever say what it is, but it has a lot of the same aesthetic as the Prophecy dungeon. It's where we played Gambit Reckoning. Basically a portal to unknown space or another dimension.
I believe that's the Prophecy dungeon area/PVP map. It's why when you start Prophecy you jump through that portal from Drifter's ship.

The thing that nobody talks about is that the Nine are still out there... and no one knows what they are up to.
And also i would realy be interested in more "Personal Cutscenes" like this one right here.
With maybe a Human Enemy or Stuff like that.

Well the "Nine" are more like the Four and the Five now. The lore says they've had a disagreement and have split into two different groups on how to move forward with their goals. I would be very surprised if they don't show up in Final Shape, but who knows if they show up in the story missions or maybe the Episodes later on. There's a ton of set up happening that already seems to be what each episode will be about (the vex episode is set up with Wishkeeper story, Hive Episode being set up by season of the Wish and Xivu, and the Scorn episode is set up with the latest dungeon storyline) Maybe we get an episode dedicated to the Nine in 2025? It would be really sad if we never get to go back to whatever they are and actually see them in game before Destiny is over.

i know this is 4 months late but i’m interested in seeing what they have in store for the future with the nine now that the witness is gone
I really hope The Nine and Orin get more content. They're one of the only remaining big groups in Destiny's lore that haven't gotten a proper follow-up or conclusion.
To me, this and Arrival are the best seasons

I feel like you need the dialogues from those Invitations of the Nine missions (among other things in the season) to give proper context, the cutscenes alone don't do it. Oh well.

This Era of Gambit was Un-Matched. Shame Gambit Prime got melded with Normal Gambit, resulting in Modern-Day Gambit.

How about actually just putting all the past seasons and campaigns in the archive so we can play it. or if we didn't buy the past seasons or campaigns we can buy it from the archive so we can play it.

Yeah so that Pyramid tease was a let down wasn't it.
Judging by all other gambit coins having a faction logo it really seemed at this moment like the Pyramids would bring a new darkness race. Shame we never got that
